Goodmorning girls,

Angie I know what you mean. I got to have potatoe chips with my eggsalad sandwiches. They are so easy but I hardly ever think of making them. Enjoy your beautiful weather. It is going another cloudy, rain on and off kind of day here. Blah

Sorry I was not done posting and accidently hit the stupid enter button!

Cherie I knew Meredith was going to be sent home she just really never told Bob how she felt about him! I also think Kelly Jo will be the final one at least I am hoping so. I think he liked her family and she seems like so much fun to be around. Estella I just can't read her. And I think he was a little afraid of Mary being to serious. I could go on....I love that show!

I am thinking about joining the Y. Maybe if I have to pay for a membership it will force me to excercise more. Anybody ever have a membership before? It would also allow me a little me alone time away from the little ones and hubby. Sometimes we women are so busy doing things for others we never do anything thing for ourselves and I tend just to treat myself with food because its right here with me!

Hello to everyone else who did not make it here yet!

No I didn't get the walk in last night. We had the DU meeting so I needed to cook dinner really quick and clean up the kitchen before everyone got there. I made sure that I cooked b/c we usually end up eating Wendy's late after everyone has left.

I have been emaning to tell you that the cats and the new dog are getting along fine. She really doens't bother the cats to much. She is more interested in playing with Echo. This moring I caught her diging a hole in one of my flower beds and Echo was standing there watching her. I thought Echo would teach her good manners but I guess not.

I am trying to figure a way for me to crawl but up on the wagon with you guys. I don't want to have to record everything in Fitday like I did the first time. It got so time consuming and I don't want to do that to myself. I am sure I will come up with something.

I hope you all are having a great Thursday, I'll check back in later.

Julie this is going to sound stupid but I am going to go as my hairdresser. He is going to be at the party and he has a very distinctive style so I am going to try to duplicate it.

I think I am going to have cocktail weenies and call them Hallow-weenies, sugar cookie fingers (I am going to roll them out and make fingernails on them), 7 layer dip and use corn chips and headstones and anything else I can throw together. I will be rushing to get all of this done so I might not be able to do it all be myself. Trust me though, I am going to take lots of pictures. This is a party crowd that is coming to my house so it should be fun.

Kempy that sounds like so much fun, you going as your hairdresser! I love the cookie finger idea! Did you read my post about the hand in the punch? Well off to find some lunch.

Happy Thursday people. Only one more day to the weekend and Halloween! My son's school is having a costume parade tomorrow and he gets to dress up as Spiderman again and go trick or treating to all the classrooms. I'm making goodie bags for the class--Cheezits crackers, a juice box, skull shaped lollipops and some cool silver holographic halloween stickers. I don't think we'll have the predicted rain tomorrow night but it's sure gotten real humid. Can't wait till the tradewinds come back and cool us off.

Kempy I think your costume idea is funny. Do you think he'll get it? Can't wait for pictures. Hehe, that sly little Rhea--maybe Echo's was giving her the technique . That's how my sister's JRT's are. The older one is so well behaved and calm, not rascally like the average JRT. The younger one is a real pest, his personality is so like a JRT. I call them Evan and Aaron which is my 2 nephew's names--the dogs personality is just like her 2 boys.

Angie enjoy your sunny weather. Are your kids dressing up this year or are they getting too old and too cool for that?

Julie I think the Y is a good idea, especially the time away from DH and kids part. If the money spent incentive works for you, go for it. We did a punch bowl with the floating hand thing once--we also put peeled, frozen grapes in there to make like eyeballs--gross!

Cherie, sounds like you're getting a good handle on getting back OP. Good for you. I don't watch the Bachelor--is it Bachelor Bob this time? I read about him losing about 30 lbs, and I also saw him on Oprah doing a cooking challenge thing. He's an OK looking guy, not really my type but that's just going by looks .

Hi to Jacks Hope you're feeling much better today. What's on the agenda for tomorrow night?

OK people, what kind of tactis are we employing to stay from the candy? Or are we not staying away from the candy? I haven't really thought about it, but I think I'll be okay this year. Maybe I'll make some low-fat fudgy cupcakes and eat them w/lite cool whip. That should satisfy my chocolate tooth. I don't even want to start in on the chocolate candy because like Lays, I betcha can't eat just one. Any other ideas?

Angry Annoyingly proud mom...

Here's some pics of our last weekend when we went to the pumpkin patch. Our pumpkin's are nowhere near as big as some on the mainland...different kind of fertilizer maybe? Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Noelle he is beautiful. He is just so cute! They grow so fast. We really have to appreciate their innocence and curiosity at this age. Did you guys carve your pumpkins yet. We are planning on doing it tonight or tomorrow. I just love the smell of the pumpkin when you cut it open. It brings back memories of childhood. I saw a really neat idea for a pumpkin. I believe you take a drill and drill holes in it and then put white christmas tree lights in the holes of the pumpkin.

Whats everyone doing for dinner tonight? I am not sure yet. Mabye bean burritos.

Kempy, I saw on Martha Stweart one year that if you take almonds and put them in red food coloring and then bake for a minute until dry you can then stick them on the finger cookies and bake. When they are done they looked like skinny little fingers with red nails. I can not wait to see pics from your party. You guys sound like you have so much fun.

Noelle, Rebel is an annoying JRT. He stares at Jay all night and will whine to get his ball thrown. When my mom and dad come over he gets so excited to see mom that he has on occasion pissed all over her. He keeps climbing in her lap and kissing her face all over. (she loves it though). If I sit on Jays lap and say "my Daddy" Rebel has to go get his ball and get in between us. He is a spoiled little freak but I would have 10 of them if I could.

Your son is so cute!!! I love seeing pics of him. He just looks so sweet.

The twins are going trick or treating but Brit has her first school dance tomorrow so she is doing that instead.

I am having lowfat chow mein for supper tonight(not that it matters because I have been eating SO badly this week)

Hey everybody. I got the goodie bags done, and we carved the pumpkin tonight which was fun. I cheated a little and used a little drywall saw to cut perfectly round holes for eyes. It looks pretty cool if I must say so myself.

Julie I saw that pumpkin idea in a Good Housekeeping or Martha Stewart mag. That was so cool. How are the lights lit? Are they electric? I like the idea where you drill small holes in the pumpkin all the way around, some all the way through, some only halfway. The light coming through looks really neat.

I got my 3.5 miles in by myself and I was booking it because it was getting dark. We might do cookie cutter cookies (pumpkins and ghosts) with the easy Pilsbury sugar cookies. i'm gonna try it with a peanut butter cookie too, but I don't know how that'll turn out. But it's something to do with the kid. Does anyone have a good tasting cookie recipe for using cookie cutters? I always find sugar cookies a bit bland, usually because of the high flour content...they're fun to make but not so great to eat (which is actually a plus this year).

Angie if my sister brings her dogs over in costume I'll try and snap a few pics. Last year Keaka was Superman and Selena (my mom's chihuahua-terrier) wore her blue and white polka dot dress . It's really funny because Keaka LOVES to wear clothes. You hold a shirt up and he comes running.

Well gotta put the boy to bed. I'll see ya gals tomorrow.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Did anyone see the solar flares last night around 7? Jay came running up onto the deck and said come here quick. Scared the crap out of me. They were really neat to watch. It started out with a pink spot in the sky and it spread and got brighter until my whole back yard was so bright pink. It had lights like the Northern lights running through the pink and up to a peak in the sky. Then they just went away. It was really cool.

Our weather is so screwed! Tomorrow it is supposed to hit 70. I will have to find something to do to enjoy it.

I saw that pumpkin idea on Martha Stewart too. They look really neat. I liked the snake one.
