congrats on all your hard work ladies! You can do it Lynnfit!

Yesterday I hit a fun little milestone, I've decided it's time to size down on my pants. When I was in the 170's around Christmas last year I got a size 16 jean to fit comfortably, I was so sick of squeezing into my 12's like I was gonna die. But now the two pair of 16 pants are so big on me and I can take them on and off without unzipping/unbuttoning them. The next size down I own is the dreaded size 12 in American Eagle jeans, but I still can't get those on without a prayer. So I treated myself and got size 14 jeggings from AE, I usually get all my pants there but bought the size 16 Levi's in a rush. Well, technically they are a size 33, I was confused for the longest time what size they really were. I don't love my size 16/33 jeans, they aren't what I'm used to and I feel kind of sloppy in them. Glad to get back into a pair of sleek dark jeggings and a size smaller too!

Congrats, bloomin! It's such a great feeling to go down a size!! I have to ask... it may be because I've been out of the country for a couple years, or it might be because I'm just not fashion forward, but what are "jeggings?" Something crossed with leggings... maybe jeans? Anyway, they sound really cute, especially if they're "sleek!" Congratulations on your NSV!!

I popped in here to mention that I just hit 164 this morning (huzzah!), but now I want to talk about pants! Pants are a problem for me. I came to Japan wearing size 16s at 200 pounds (5'10" *eyeroll*). Japan is a country of people who are generally shorter and slimmer than I am. Even without the extra padding (so to speak), I'm also much curvier than the average shape, so even now that I'm almost 40 pounds smaller, my hopes for finding pants in the store that fit are slim to none. It's an issue. When it got to the point that even my belt was too big and I had to cinch in the waist on my work pants with safety pins, I finally gave in and ordered pants from online. They are sooo much more comfortable, and sooo much cuter, and sooo much more expensive than buying in a store. >< I can't wait to move back home in a few months, if only for the clothes shopping!

I can only imagine trying to fit into Japanese clothes, I worked at a restaurant making sushi with immigrants for 5 years and even the men are TINY. I got to know a lot of exchage/language students. One of my good friends Emma matches your description, she is 5'10 as well and not a stick. She said clothes shopping there was next to impossible. My 5'7 friend who IS a stick even had trouble over there. It'll be so exciting to replenish your wardrobe I'm sure, I'm so excited for you!

Oh I almost completely forgot: jeggings are a cross between jeans and leggings, the good ones IMO are more on the jean side, they are almost like skin tight extra elastic jeans. They can make your legs look amazing the same way those really tight fitting leggings people wear to work out in do.

whoooosh week!!

Yup. Yup. All you say is truth. It is next to impossible to clothes shop here. I am so excited to get back home to go shopping, you have no idea. I feel so sloppy in half my clothes now.

Interesting on jeggings! Hm, I'll have to look those up. They sound great!

Also, 162 this morning. Officially 40 pounds down!!

161! I'm seeing the 150 light at the end of the 160 tunnel!

Looks like I am finally starting to slow down, though. Since Thursday (Thursday? Thursday.) I've seen 0.4-0.6 kg drops every day. That's, like, 0.8-1.3 lbs daily. I was 167 last Saturday, and today (Sunday morning, so 8 days later) I'm at 161. Cra~azy. Today I only had a 0.15 kg (0.3 lb) drop, just enough to drop me to 161.8. It's not as satisfying as seeing whole numbers disappear every day, but I knew that rate wasn't going to stick, and it would be very unhealthy in the long term. So I'm plenty happy about this. It was probably just dropping a lot of water retention anyway. April was a very slow month for me comparatively, I think between stress and a very odd cycle, and it's possible that my body is finally letting go of all the water it was holding onto.

Hi guys! I just kicked myself out of the 170's and into this thread at 168.4. Keika, like you, I have now officially dropped 40 lbs! Congratulations to both of us. It feels great doesn't it?

Now I have to think about my end goal. I have it listed at 160 but I will play that by ear. I am pretty muscular for a female so I would not be able to maintain anything too low. 10 years ago, I stayed at 145 for a couple of months but almost killed myself doing it. However, I still was eating carbs and sugar and this time around, I've totally changed the way I eat so the weight loss and maintenance might be easier/different/better. One can only hope.

Sheila

Ahaha... maybe I haven't slowed down after all, and I talked your guys' ears off with my theories about my weight loss rate for no reason. 160.9 this morning!!

CONGRATS on joining us here, Sheila!! I've been reading the 170 thread, and it was so exciting seeing your losses! Yes indeed, 40 pounds lost feels great. You're so close to goal now! Congratulations!!

Congratulations Keika. I was on holiday the last 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed myself. My only consolation is that I didn't go up. So I'm working doubly hard to push myself to lose because I will be on another holiday in another week. OMG.

April was pretty slow for me too. I don't know what I should change to get my whoosh. I'm still at it and not giving up but I've kinda been stuck in the 160s for a while. It's a bummer.

At my heaviest last year, my driver's license weigh-in was 94kg So I'm still happy I am where I am now. I really need to push myself for the last 25lbs.

Keep up the good work everyone. Hope my next post will announce that I am at 160. lol!

Thanks bodyreboot! I'm sure you'll be out of the 160s very soon!

I've gone and bounced to 161 again, since yesterday. :/ Frustrating thing is, there's no reason for it lifestyle-wise. The tape measure says I've lost since Saturday, so I'm not sure if it's actual regaining or just water. I guess we'll see! Either way, I'm just happy to be where I am. ^^

Alright! I'm back on a downward trend! My dumb cycle came in and gave me four days of water retention. I was at 160 on Monday, and by Friday, I was all the way up to 163. Luckily, that gain is confirmed just water, and after two days of huge loss, I can confirm my body is getting rid of it. Yesterday I was down to 162, and this Sunday morning, I'm back to 161. Here's hoping for 160 again tomorrow!

You're all doing a fabulous job, very inspiring to see! Special congrats to you Keika if I don't make it say it before you go, no doubt you are on your way to the 50's very soon!

I haven't been doing so hot myself. To rewrap my story to those who don't know or forgot I had the slump of getting a new scale that weighed me in heavier than I thought I was. I did manage to lose the weight that made up that difference, but I have a very rough past...10 days? (I think). Where I had both the serious munchies and very slow motivation. I did get myself into those size 14 jeans and they are fitting great which did make me feel good, but idk I had a spin out I guess.

I had a lot of Easter candy...wine...and I ate fast. It wasn't a full blown binge but it was too much. Last week my lowest weight was 165.2, but today I was 166.4...eww.

The silver lining of this is, as much as I know I feel off the wagon I feel oddly really refreshed after my week of being bad. I haven't felt this motivated since when I first joined 3fc. Last night I kicked so much butt at the gym and burned more calories than I ever have there. I feel up for a challenge too, and I want to see how much weight I can potentially lose this summer (still safe amounts for me though). I don't want to set a number, but I want to see if I can get into a size 12 by my September vacation.

Sheesh, why is breaking out of a decade so hard? I sat for two days at 160 exactly, but then I had an anxiety attack. That did all kinds of wacky things to my body, and I woke up with a two pound "gain." Considering all the stress my poor body went through, I can't say for sure how much of that is water and how much is actual fat gain, but at least I know it'll eventually go away. Internet says anxiety attacks spike up your cortisol levels (among other things) and cortisol triggers you to store water, so I'm hoping that's all it is. I was really looking forward to seeing the 150s. :/

I hit 40 years old and it's been extremely difficult and frustrating to lose the weight. What are you all doing to lose the weight? I workout about 5 times a week.....
