Welcome, magistra17! Good luck with your weightloss goals.

I meant to say welcome back to Ian earlier. You're brave for weighing after the flight. I could barely get my shoes on so I knew it would be bad. I'm going to give it at least a week to get back on plan so I don't get hung up on the numbers.

Kelijpa, that sounds like a fun-filled weekend.

Golda, good job with your eating and walk.

Diana, are you feeling better than you were a couple days ago? Getting back on plan hasn't been too hard. I am sleeping a lot still from the jetlag and 16 hr time change. Hopefully I can go for a hike soon.

hi guys! welcome majistra17 I find this thread really helpful in spurring me on not to go crazy with food during the day. Good luck with your lifestyle change!!
Today was alright for me -
Breakfast : Oat bran and skim milk
Lunch : Roast chicken breast
Dinner : Low carb bar and some 99% fat free yoghurt (just wasn't hungry tonight)
About 20 minutes walking and then some weights at home.
Seriously need to step up my exercise (I say this every day haha )!!
Hope everybody has an awesome day diet wise and beyond!!

Good Morning, Everyone!

magistra17 Hi and welcome to the check-in.

CoolMom I'm glad the transition has been pretty easy. I can usually get right back on track. Sometimes, a day or two later, I start craving junk food and I have to push through that. I am exhausted! That's why I overslept this morning and didn't do Oxycise. I thinks it's hormonal, though. I have all the symptoms of TTOM showing up but it hasn't started, yet. It's been over 30 days since my last TTOM started so, it's late. It seems like it's getting longer in between. Or that's what's going on right now. No telling what's next.

Golda Good job on getting some exercise in. You got some movement in, that's all that matters.

Last night I added on: Hips & Legs and Sedentary Lifestyle Relief sections from Perfect in Ten Stretch

No Oxycise this morning since I overslept.

Calories for yesterday: 1300 +
Weigh In: 173.6
No Change

Have a great day and start to your week!

hi everyone I am out of control! I must now, after the weekend, lose 5 pounds of water weight gain that I picked up in the span of 2 days. I have GOT to dial down my vodka consumption again...DH is a bad influence in that area. I have just 62 days to Vegas, and I cannot go there weighing any more than 152! I do not want to come back in the 160s, water or not! ARGH!

LOL I never learn. We did ride our bikes 26 miles on Saturday, though.

Menu:

B - belvita
S - asparagus, pudding snack pack
L - deli chicken and jarlsberg lite on a sandwich thin, mustard
D - I have school...most likely a turkey or garden burger.

Time for me to snap out of it!

I was an even 230 this morning. My "clouds" have subsided to a more manageable level. They are doing construction at my office (ripping out the break room this week) so we are without a kitchen. I've been eating a simple salad for lunch with diced tomatoes and canned chicken on it - I prepare it at work. Today I actually planned ahead and came with it already made. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I'm sure many will understand that sometimes planning/preparing ahead of time is one of our biggest weaknesses. Determined to be in the 220s by the end of the week.

I kind of unplugged over the weekend. I went to my sister's house for the weekend for her launch party (she signed up to sell Velata under me - I sell Scentsy). She prepared a lot of great food (grilled chicken with various rubs, crepes with various fillings, cheese fondue, etc.) and really had a good turnout. It was so nice to just socialize a little. My niece and her family live down the street from my sister so I got some serious baby snuggles this weekend too (she has a 6-month old and a 3-year old). My sister has lost about 30 lbs since Thanksgiving. I've lost about 25 since then. I wear a larger size than her so I had a great time "shopping" in her closet (she recently "shopped" in her daughter's closet).

Have a great week everyone!

Up 0.6lbs today to 183.4lbs.

Breakfast was sardines, anchovies and mussels.

Lunch was fish and salad.

For exercise, I did 60 minutes weight training before work and ran 4 miles before lunch.

I forgot to also point out that I lifted weights yesterday! I'm benching again and working on my bis and tris...I'm trying to get my strength back to where it was. It was sad. LOL I can so far only bench press 70 pounds (reps) and I used to be able to do 100 pounds for a few sets and at least 10 - 15 reps! It's going to take a little time, I guess.

Hello friends,

I had a really good weekend. I needed time off from work and I got it. Today, I was refreshed and relaxed and in a much better mindset to work. I hope it lasts, it'll be another 2 weeks before I get a free weekend.

I'd post my weight but I honestly don't know what it is right now??? I don't own a scale. I usually just wait until I go to the Dr and then get weighed there.

I still haven't had any Mountain Dew even though this weekend I was tempted. I was at a cookout and they had some there.

Much love to all.

Default Big decision, fed up and time to shake it up

I have had it. I bust it, have got some pretty good muscle going on but the weight is climbing and I need to cut the fat. 180lbs is just no good. Realistically, even if I max out my muscle mass a lean 5'8" me should be about 160lbs.

So it's time for a big push.

I don't make this decision lightly. I really like my exercise routine. And I really enjoy my diet which I firmly believe helps me to fuel my exercise. It is super balanced and clean. If I eat less, I worry I won't be able to exercise as hard or lose muscle mass. But my portion sizes are huge and I need to step things up to cut the fat rather than just tweaking the odd thing here and there.

So, my new plan is as follows.

Exercise stays the same.

And diet stays the same with the introduction of some more intermittent fasting.

Every other day I will eat a small lunch instead of my usual big one.

Hopefully this will be sustainable, help me cut the fat and won't upset my exercise which I think I have perfected.

Let's see how it goes.

Small lunch starts tomorrow.

Good luck when you weigh in CoolMom!

Good luck, Ian!

Diana, you are spot on with the hunger creeping in two days later. Last night I was laying in bed thinking about food. Then I wake up without a huge appetite. So maybe I'll just have to willpower through some late night cravings.

Lisa, good job resisting the dew!

Madetothrive, it sounds like it was a fun weekend. I wish I had a weightloss buddy for clothes swapping. Lucky you!

Syckgirl, good job getting the bike ride in.

Golda, I'm dragging my feet with the exercise too. So hard to motivate myself.

B egg on toast
L veg and chicken sausage
D bean soup

Hi Everyone!

Syckgirlsfv Do you feel it's the calories from the vodka or does it mess with your metabolism? For me, it seems like it messes with my metabolism. How is your Dad. Still thinking about him.

Kris Sounds like you had a fantastic weekend! Congrats on the 230! Good luck for flying through the next decade.

Ian Good luck with tweaking your plan. You can do it.

Lisa Congrats on staying strong against the Mt. Dew. Keep up the great work.

CoolMom Yep, know the feeling. It's like something takes over the brain. Hang in there and stay strong. You can get through it.

Waving Hi all around! Enjoy your evening!
