I was on vacation the past week. I weighed in this morning and was 159.5, up from 157 right before we left. I'm hoping that's not all "real" weight and might be some water retention from extra salty (restaurant) food. Holidays and such make it very hard to make healthy food and exercise choices, but we can get back into good habits.

Hi, everyone! I've been in the 150s (upper 150s last month) and am just really starting to buckle down and try to get this weight off. I don't really have an exercise plan, but I started C25K this morning. I must say that seeing everyone's overall progress is awe-inspiring and makes me want to get up and move! I'm currently at 155, so I'm halfway through the 150s battle.

Arrgh! Guys, I've been stuck at 156 for about 2 weeks. No progress!! Frustrating, but I'm not giving up.

Keep at it, guac! Last month, I stayed at the same weight for 3 weeks, then dropped 3 lbs suddenly (and it stayed off). I'm glad I didn't give up.

I'm joining the 150's thread; just weighed in at 159 for two days. I hope to get the 150's mostly done during June.

Good work everyone!!! I am at 150.8, so hopefully I'll be out of the 150s and into the 140s soon!

I haven't done any C25K since last week (rested Sat and did 2.5 hours of intense yard work on Sun), but managed to go down a few increments. I was 156 last Mon. Weighed myself this morning, and I'm down to 153.8. Not a bad first week!

Sweets are my weakness. I don't drink Cokes (aka sodas/colas), but I cut out pre-sweetened iced tea. I picked up some sugar-free jello (10 cal) yesterday for when I'm craving something sweet. I aim for 1200 calories and try to get more veggies and some protein. Not real scientific, but I'm logging through MFP.

Having the willpower to keep going and not give in is tough, so kudos to all those out there who have been able to lose large amounts of weight. I read through the whole thread this morning, and it's motivating to see someone progress into it and continue down to the 140s.

156.5 this morning. Hopefully I'm back on track!

I love sweets and snacks too, and I do buy them for my kids, so there are usually a few in the house. One trick I do sometimes is to buy peanut butter flavors (of cookies, ice cream, etc.), because I hate peanuts and I definitely won't eat them.

I do need to get back to counting calories. I didn't bother when I was on vacation, and now I've been back for almost a week, so no more excuses!

Managed to do C25K Wk 2 Day 1 this morning and weighed in at 153.

I'm an analytical person, so it's hard for me tojust go with a rough estimate of logging calories on MFP. I'm coping, lol. A rough estimate of in/out is better than none, and I don't want to stress out on calculating things to death. I've been trying to make wise decisions overall.

My usual problem is that I'll lose about 5 lbs. and slip back into eating sweets. I'm hoping that by finding this community, I'll be motivated/committed to staying the course.

I gained about 10 lbs in the spring of 2013 during my last semester of grad school and never worked it off. Then, I was laid off over a year ago (oil and gas in Houston is rough at the moment) and have put on about 20 more. So, my goal weight right now is about 130. If I get close to that, I might reevaluate. I just know at that weight, the cute work dresses in my closet will fit again!

2kids - hope you got that drop you were looking for!

Chunkah - were you able to drop that half pound you wanted to?

sarah - glad you were able to drop that "vacation weight".

Indy - Hi and welcome! Good job dropping to the lower 150's! Sweets were my downfall, too. Sugar free jello is great for that. Have you tried putting some light whipped topping (Cool Whip) on it? I love to chop up the jello and get the whipped topping all mixed in. Sugar free Fudgesicles are good, too! One thing I like to do when using MFP, is to Google the item I want to add to see if what MFP shows is pretty close. Hope you get down to your goal so you can wear those cute dresses!

workinglikeadog - Hi and welcome, too! Congrats on getting to the 150's! Yep, this journey is one day at a time and if you can plan your daily meals it works!

guac - hope you got "unstuck". Persistance is key. I have been on a roller coaster myself. But, some days I have gone way over my calories, so I know why. Trying to buckle down again to make the scale go in the right direction.

Slimmer - Hi and welcome to the 150's! 10 lbs in 1 month is quite a goal! Hope you reach it!

kahaney - great job on the loss. Have you made it to the 140's?

This morning, I finally got back down to 154.2. Hard to believe if I eat 1600 cals a day here and there, I gain a couple of pounds. Hopefully I will keep them down to around 1200 and see the lower 150's soon.

Kat, you've come so far! Wow. I've been working really hard......for a week, lol. I hadn't thought about adding Cool Whip, but it sounds good (especially if I can find some mix for sugar-free peach Jello). Keep at it, you're close!

This morning I was down to 151.8. I did some more yard work today and wore myself out. Tomorrow will be C25K Wk 2 Day 2. I won't be able to weigh Sat or Sun unless I pack my scale, as I'll be in Baton Rouge. I've already looked at a route to do my Wk 2 Day 3 there on Sunday morning. Hopefully this weekend will not be a challenge to my diet. I'm trying hard to be dedicated to being motivated. And ignoring the cookies that have tried to lure me to them for a week on top of the fridge.

kahaney! I am hoping for the 140's! I haven't been in that decade for about 30 years!

Indy, you are SO close! Good job on resisting those cookies! Sending you some to keep up the good work!

Hopped on my old analog scale here at the river and it looked like 153.5. Just need to keep on the straight and narrow and I may get my wish!

Hope everyone else is doing great and holding strong!
