  • Quote: Cheyenne - how's the special k diet? Is it leaving you hungry?do you count calories with that our just watch serving size?

Now that tom is gone, I think that I'm back on track. I'm currently down. Hope it stays over the weekend
So far so good... I eat a special k protein bar in the am... then a small snack a while later... I've been snacking on cucumbers.. and then a bowl of cereal for lunch... and later some grapes.. and then for dinner I just choose something sensible! I'm not uncomfortably hungry. I feel pretty good really =)

sometimes, i belive that if i get that friend then i will make that PUSH!
I CANNOT DO IT ON MY OWN!!1
    I CANNOT!

    i am tired of this.ITS SOOOOOO.....DEPRESSING
i will try this challenge and this will be the 6th site and forum i have tried so i will see if i disable my account again
What's been working for me is to never give up. Even after binging, after a really bad day of eating off plan or just when life seems overwhelming, I just get back to my plan and healthy habits on the next meal. It sounds simple, but it's easier said than done and it takes a lot of effort. Good luck on your journey. Hope you like 3fc!
  • @ marina and Cheyenneb4u

    I am so sad
    i will try again
as i said before i have been to a lot of forum. they give me a nice welcome but dont follow up and left me in the dark and thats the reason i join to for help. most times they speak to their friends and leave the new one , well thats what i have experienced...so i am wondering if this site will be the same.. i will try the challenge and place my name in the excel sheet......but remember you have some of us need someone to guide us and till we can pull out those wings on and start to fly on our own,

    thanks
  • fightbbrave, you should try to find a motivation buddy in your area maybe. It can be very hard to keep up with people on here. Everyone has their own struggles and while I know people try to be supportive, voices do get lost in the shuffle. You need to be able to motivate yourself to stay on track if you want to experience long-term success. Focus on where you want to be and remember: if you don't do something for your goal every day, you'll never see progress!

thanks so much .Good advice.i will TRY AGAIN and see what i can do (sigh)

1st thing - .how can i get the weight ticker at the bottom of my replies?
  • 1st thing - .how can i get the weight ticker at the bottom of my replies?[/QUOTE]

Fightbrave - You will be able to add a ticker after so many posts, or actually I think it is 20 days after joining?? Maybe someone can confirm this?
Welcome to the forum - I hope you will find the support you need here. It is important to remember that everyone is different and what works for one person won't work for everyone, however we will support each other in whatever that plan or situation is, and throw out suggestions that may help. Do you have a plan that you are following?
Try to take it one day at a time, and even if it is hard, don't give up!

  • hi jolly jude thanks
I will take ONE STEP AT A TIME!.....with ur help and the support of the group but most importantly MY NEW CHANGE OF MIND I WILL TRIUMPH
  • fightbbrave
20 days, and 20 posts I do believe for the ticker.
    Also

When I first joined, I certainly felt ignored a ton. It's easy for people to skip posts, or read over someone. It's not intentional, but there is a lot of activity so many people on these forums read interesting topics, stay inside their groups, or only respond to OP only. It takes some time of posting to start to recognize regulars and have them recognize you. What's helpful is joining challenges and groups and having a "regular" thread. You consistently check in to.

I know what it's like to need support. Even when I felt ignored, I kept coming here because it kept me accountable. I want to one day have my own photo goal post, I like the 5lb and 2% challenges and want to do well. And... I like advice and attempt to reciprocate it.

  • For the September challenge. any THING SPECIFICALLY WE SHOULD DO?
  • Quote: For the September challenge. any THING SPECIFICALLY WE SHOULD DO?
Mostly we do our own programs... but if anything is working for you, we share it, or if something isn't working, we ask for ideas or help. I personally have been keeping track of my food intake. I'm finding it very useful to write down what I'm' eating. Seeing on paper is helpful... also, I'm eating fresh veggies BEFORE I get hungry!!! =) What day do you plan on starting your exercises and what type of things will you do?
  • I'm convinced I'm never going to lose this lower belly roll. It doesn't matter how low cal I eat or how many miles I run it won't go away. :/ I can't be Hercules at the gym it's just not a sustainable lifestyle for me and you can't spot reduce. I can only do so much and an hour a day seems reasonable. I've had one child but it's not loose skin, it's definitely fat.

    Thoughts? Next step is lipo.
  • If I had an answer about the lower belly, I would tell you, if I ever find an answer to just get rid of or hid belly fat, I would share with the world. I know we can't "spot" reduce (fat will burn where fat will burn) but we can "spot" muscle build. My arms suck, they're evil little buggers that have loose skin and fat that hangs. I have the wings as they say. I can't get the fat to go off, but ever since I started building muscle in the upper arm region, they LOOK better with the fat on them.

Not sure if building abs will help the lower tummy at least look better, but it may be worth a try. Do a lot of core exercise, Pilates is a good one for sure.

    First off, Welcome!

Yup, one step at a time, that's all we can do! But all those steps add up! And a good mind set is very important. I wanted to get back to this for a while now, but until that switch clicked for me, I couldn't commit 100% to myself. But now I have and it feels great.

I had a big loss since starting, 5.2lbs, and it's motivating the heck out of me, lol. I know every week wont be that way, but I will be a healthier me!
