Restart after medicine weight gain - ugh

  • Started the journey in 2010 and loss over 40lbs total. Kept it off mostly until 2013 when I started taking back prednisone long-term as well as other meds. Well since coming off, I simply cannot drop the weight. All my usual tips and tricks no longer work. I know at 38 that it is getting increasingly difficult to lose weight easily so I am trying to mix it up and see where this journey takes me.

I hate my new size and am ready to tackle it like I did before. My motivation is that I did it once and now I can do it again. Something tells me this isn't going to be easy.
  • You can do it! Just keep trying until you figure out what works for you now.

I'm 41, almost 42, and I was diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago. Is it harder? Yeah, probably. But I don't allow myself to think in those terms. I just keep working at figuring out what works now.

    Good luck!
  • it is ot easy as it is time taking and workful also
  • It is hard and likely that I might get new pills. Using calorie counting as that works for me. Hopefully it will work for me again.
  • Good luck! I'm in the same boat. I gained a lot in the last year on a medication. I'm weaning myself off right now. Hopefully I'll see some weight loss. I was most successful when I was on here regularly. We can do this!
  • I realize that..being on here regularly, measuring my food and wearing a pedometer kept me in check
