These are lovely Williams pears, just right, not too firm, not too squishy. I don't like floury pears.

It's my lunch time but my colleagues aren't back yet, so I'm stuck here!

I've got a HUGE tub of strawberries here They are icy cold!

I'm trying to get rid of the binge monster! I didn't really do too badly last night, I just had dinner out and a couple of chinese pastries which aren't very sweet. But I felt I ate too much. Then breakfast left me hungry, but now I feel like I'm straightening up - I've had plenty of fruit and soem CC pancakes. I've got some brie and oatcakes for snacktime this afternoon. I also had a LIGHT mousse for lunch - lemony!

Im feeling really down today. Ive been dieting for a week, taking xenical, eating low fat, and also cutting down on carbs. Ive also been walking every day for an hour and doing a bit of yoga. Ive just tried on my wedding dress again and it doesnt fit any better
I dont know how much I weigh, but I think its around 18st. I just feel so fat and helpless
I need help and motivation to carry on with this, the way that I feel at the mo Im just about to pack the wedding in

Stay off the scales and start training with HEAVY weights. You will see more of a body transformation with weight training than you will with dieting and cardio. Especially in the first few months. Check out body for life (google it). You will lose inches rather than pounds - and that's what's important when you need to fit into that wedding dress. I know - I need to do the same!

Don't give up - even if you have to wear a bin bag (an option I have been considering since I have a nice rash over my back (backless dress), STUPID sunburnt tan likes and THEN I rubbed the skin on my collarbones raw carrying a rucksack I'm DOOMED!) a bride who is in love with her groom will look a million dollars compared to one who is only bothered about looking good! The most important thing is that you are GETTING MARRIED! You get to spend the rest of your life with this one special person. The actual ceremony is one tiny snapshot day in the rest of your life.

Kalijack, Plateau! It happens to all of us, sooner or later. Have you been drinking plenty of water? Try keeping a food diary and write down everything before you eat it. BTW, I always find that I get miserable and/or depressed when I cut back hard on carbs and it doesn't really help me lose weight any faster.

Jen... GREAT PICTURE!!! I love the pink gloves!

Kalinjack - I didn't read your last sentance - DON'T PACK IN THE WEDDING! I'm sure your Beloved would prefer you to be there stark naked and painted blue with purple spots rather than not there at all. Most blokes don't notice the weight thing anyway. My DH has seen me all sizes - we met when I was a size 8 and at my biggest I was a 24/26 and (bless him) he has said that he only ever sees me and not my weight.

Jen, congrats on the famous bit, you look blooming marvelous woman! Lovely article, you've a way with words

KJ, DON'T lose hope, you'll get there, we're all here to support you. Maybe check with you doctor about the pills they gave you, they may stop any sign of weight loss, I had to take some weird pills a few years back, ate on plan every day and at WW weigh in kept showing gains, until they asked if I was on any meds, when I finished the course, I had lost eight pounds the next time at weigh in, not just in a week of course, but over the course of the time I took them, which meant I prob lost the two pounds a week which is a good loss. Don't get disheartened dearie, your man loves you whatever, and a wedding like jen say's, is just a pretty day. I was a size 16 when I got married 20 years back, never really been any thinner than that, howerver, I know I can't fit in my wedding dress now, even though I'm a 16 to 18 size depending on the cut...don't stress too much, you said in another post that your friend said she can let some of the dress out, maybe have that ahppen, but you probably won't need to, if you concentrate on YOU, be happy with YOURSELF and know that you are making a life change for YOU in the right direction

Sarah, glad to hear the hip doesn't bump and grind that much, I'm sure a swim will help, not hinder, maybe you could try a ball workout for now until your back to good health again, working on a ball, protects your bits, as there's not pressure on your joints.

I bought another ball yesterday so I'm all set with my core today, I've been to curves, they have a new thing for stretching afterwards, sort of like a machine, but you do the work and boy could I feel those muscles stretching today, at one point I could feel my calf cramping and the woman helping me told me to stretch it more and it stopped...I hate cramps!

Ok, time to hang some more washing out, it actually moves here, unlike AZ where there's hardly a breeze any day...

Thanks for all your support (((hugs))))
I have even managed to brave the scales for the first time in months and I weigh 6kg less than I did the last time I was brave enough to check.
So I am feeling a lot better this afternoon

Hello everyone, I'm officially scared now

I've got to do my packing tonight, a last 2 mile jog tomorrow at some point, fly on Saturday and then it will be Sunday

I'm having a very surprising problem though - because I've cut my mileage I'm finding it hard to eat as much as I'd like to! I'm meant to be carb loading and bought all sorts of nice, carby food, but I'm really struggling to get through it! I'm just eating according to hunger and making what I do eat more carby rather than actually eating any more. I thought I'd have just used it as an excuse to get through piles of cake!

The weather forecast looks far too hot for Sunday, I'm really hoping it cools down a bit before then.
