  • I am in a bad mood with Up and Running. Why did they have to make their new city centre shop so nice and appealing and stock it with so many nice things?

And why, of all days, did I first step through the door on pay day? The one day of the month when any anti-spending willpower just vanishes.

This could be very bad. It's far too close to the office for my liking...
  • Must... Resist.... New... Running... Clothes.... GAH! You can do it
  • Erm, no I can't

(looking at the bag by my feet...)
  • He he he! Wotcha get?
  • Nice pictures frus .

The tiara is lovely, are you having a veil? How are you having your hair? I bet you are sick of wedding questions, I know I was by the time mine came around!

I'm mad this morning, for some reason I got on the scales again for the 2nd time this week (I'm very much a "weigh yourself once a week" person) and they said I was up 2.8 lbs.

As much as I am telling myself that weight does fluctuate day to day I'm still pissed. That'll teach me.
  • Hair like it is in the close-up picture. No veils. Looks silly!

Scales are I've stopped weighing, I figure if I don't know, I can only do my hardest to eat healthily and lightly and work out. That way I don't get complacent or get mad and eat!
  • I was going to buy some scales today £4.99 in cheapie shop but I was worried (ha!) they may say I weight 8 stone then I am nearer 14st 7lb!

I will probably not go sto Slimming World for a while and will concentrate on going to the gym instead. However, I am trying to be good (she said munching a pack of Revels, then a pack of Minstrels - why when I am trying to give up chocolate???? TOM is no excuse!!

I have had quite a healthy day apart from the choccies just now.

Aloe Vera yogurt for brekkie with nuts sprinkled in it (sadly these are Sainsbury's Taste the difference caramelised nuts so mega sugar which is why I sprinkle hem now on yogurt rather than have as a cereal on its own. The a salad with two chinese spring rolls and for dinner just now mashed potato and greens!

Yummy! OK not good calorie wise but a good amount of veg even if the only fruit was a miniscule bit of lemon in the yogurt and a peach for a midday snack.

  • Now kalijack that is a proper wedding dress with slight meringue tendencies!!! I love it!!!!

I'm so stressed. my half sister, to whom I haven't spoken to in two years (and previous to this had only spoken to once), and have never met, is having a crisis. Her husband has a malignant tumour in his neck, and tumours in his liver. These are all secondary tumours, and they can't locate the big daddy, which is scary. He is having surgery on Saturday. I didn't really know what to do. On dad's side, there is no one else in the UK (she lived down south). So I decided to ring her. She was lovely, and called me sister So all is fine, and she knows I'm here if she needs me, so I feel better now.

I'm having much more fun at work, and am doing well, I just need to get all this joint pain resolved. It's really annoying me now.
  • ooo i got lots of joint pain with theis virus.. my mum has too...
    hope it goes soon

    not feeling well at all

MIchelle thinking of you for tomorrow.. hope all goes well
  • My mother has now decided that running is going to kill me and has decided that I need some sort of heart test or another.

Because it's so much worse for me to exercise than to be obese....

I survived the party without drinking too much. I might even get out for a run tomorrow in my new capri tights and long sleeved top...

    Ahhhh mothers, bless em.
The one time in my life that I managed to get down to a size 10, my mother was shocked and made me take this tonic to help improve my appetite - and I ended up going back to a size 16!!!!
BTW, I'm a 22/24 now and would give anything to be a size 106
  • yup yup.. i dont go to see my nan now... she is full of "compliments"... mmm your @rse is gettin fatter"..... and then offers me HUGE dinner, Pastry based pudding +/- cream, ice cream, custard... and then mini fun sized treats...

BUT u have to eat it or she gets all huffy lol...

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
  • Your dress is lovely Kalijack! The meringue tendencies are offset by that gorgeous bodice!

Good gym day for me today, I tackled the dreaded circuit training and kicked butt. I usually manage 2 sets and then slope off to shower before the 3rd, today I did 2 and 3/4 sets. I managed to do all my walking lunges which I'm very proud of.

I've also decided to try eat more each day. I've been eating between 1000 and 1400 cals per day, been doing this for some time. Sometimes I go up to 1800 cals but I've not been losing weight, or rather, been losing weight very slowly like 1lb per month. During June to present I lost 3 lb so something is wrong. I might have slowed my metabolism down so I'm going to try eat around 1400 - 1600 per day and see what happens. I work out pretty hard 4 x a week. I do spinning 2 x a week for 1 hour and circuit training 2 x a week for 1 hour. I occasionally do treadmill/elliptical for 1 hour combined on the 5th day.

Does this sound like it might work? I know everyone is different but I'm tearing my hair out over why I'm not losing and because I'm exercising regular, with no hormonal/thyroid problems, the only conclusion I can come to is that I'm not eating enough to compensate my working out and my metabolism has slowed down.

Sorry for the long winded post, your advice/help is appreciated though!
