We made some changes - our names have capital letters for one thing! But that's the basic gist! There's also a reply postcard but I don't have a photo of the final one of that, just the illustrator file. I might sort it out in a minute

I'm a whale

I can't get my extra lbs off. I've been trying so hard but I'm still a whale!

I ran 6 miles on Sunday, I kickboxed littlies last night - I'm averaging 1800 kcals (100 less than when I was a light little boney-ribbed thing) and it's just NOT FAIR!

Well if your a whale I dont know what in the lord's name that makes me!!!!!

You are an athlete, your strong, your gorgeous, you are NOT a whale. You know better than to be guided by what the scales say!!!!

I do appreciate your frustration though..........coz it's happening here too. Scales! Pah!

I'd be alright if it was just the scales and the inches were moving!

Wedding dress flabby back

Going running at lunch - if I can't run off my flabby belly, I can at least run AWAY from it (like in those adverts!!!)

Could be anything - TOM - change in weather/water retention - what you're eating and/or when you're eating it - anything. Are you still using PN? I found all that protein made me feel weighed down in the middle and the same with the carbs after exercise. Lets face it, any diet that suggests you drink chocolate milk as a balanced carb drink before a work out is a bit sus! I tried it - and I won't be doing THAT again before aerobics.

You can do this.... YOU CAN DO THIS! In fact you HAVE done this - just think back to what you were doing before - how is what you are doing now different to what you were doing then - then change back for a while and see if the old magic still works.

It SAYS that? Drink chocolate milk before a workout????

That's where I'm going wrong then!

I'm not doing much differently - my fats have increased but that's "good fat" and I read that thing in the Daily mail about Omega 3s promoting weight loss. I am eating fewer processed carbs, but I can't see that that's a bad thing?

I need to run more. I'm going to get my pushbike down in a couple of weeks so I can cycle to work twice a week (28 miles there and back). I just need to know that it will happen. It sucks being stuck and I've been stuck for a LONG time before.

HUMPH!

Hope the link works - if not then go to Skwigg's blog and follow the article link on the second blog down titled 'Goals' - its under the heading Goal 4) Appearance. Like I said - chocolate milk. It was SO sweet - and I don't much like chocolate!

Anyway..... try decreasing the fats back to your old level for a couple of weeks. Do you keep a food diary - if so then try eating exactly the same as you did on a couple of weeks when you had good weight loss.

Are you drinking enough water???

Heee hee chocolate milk after a workout! Who'dda thunk it!?

I might just go back to what I was eating when I was a slim-Jen. Bah! I need to buy that skinny bacon again, but there was none to be found in Tesco.

I was eating absolute cwap then!!!!

But ratios were 50% carbs and 25% pro and 25% fat, I was having cereal for breakfast and it doesn't look like I was having any proper evening meal (which I still don't really) *sigh* I thought more protein was supposed to be good - I thought all that 30% thermogenetic effect stuff was supposed to burn off more calories.

Nearly dinner - not had much to snack on this morning. Ok well, 2 laughing cows, 5 pecans and an apple. I suppose that's an ok snack for some people

There is no law written in stone that you HAVE to have a proper evening meal - its just what most people do. Its up to you how and when you eat - and if eating your main meal earlier in the day is better for you then go for it. In fact its supposed to be better for you to have your largest meal earlier in the day.

If eating 50/25/25 suited you then GO BACK TO IT (and I still buy that bacon - thanks!) If the therma-wotsit effect isn't working for you then don't flog a dead horse - just try something new (or old).

Can you actually see that you've gained in plob since you started on PN? Is it showing on the scales? I thought I looked a bit puffier in the face after the first which - which is where I always show weight loss/gain first - but my biggest problem with it was that I don't think that my digestive system enjoyed that particular way of eating - but it was just an experiment. I know I lost weight last week - but that was more to do with than PN (thank goodness there isn't an emoticon for what else I had wrong with me :rolf

I think that PN or any other very structured eating plan works for some people because perhaps they haven't structured their food before and using his plan makes you really think about what you are eating and when.

I haven't put on using PN, I lost 2lbs straight away and then it's just been stalled.

I had chicken and veg for lunch, then decided to have some porridge too! CARBS! Oh carbs, why did I forsaketh you??? I now want to go to sleep, but that could be because I had 2 meals in one go!
