I too need to start knitting, 2 of Rays sisters are expecting, one in January the other in March. It is supposed to burn calories (knitting not having babies !!!) and also has the added benefit, that you can't eat and knit at the same time
Well I saw the dietician and she says I am doing the right things. I need to make a few modifications and I will be back on track. My biggest problem is exercise as I have osteo arthritis and mobility is limited. I a going to increase the exercise as much as I can. As for the food intake I need to make the portions smaller for me. The portions are fine for my husband but I need adjust mine.
I weighed in at 11stone 8 pounds.
Not too bad. I am to see her again in 3 months.
So I have to keep at the diet and make every effort to lose this horrid weight.
Christmas is looming up fast and all that lovely food beckons to me, but I will have to moderate what I eat.
I can do this. I can can't I! It all seems a bit harder than it did before. Maybe its the gloomy days and rain that is getting at me.
Weighed in this morning at a class near to home and am down 2.5lbs. Have lost that 1.5lb I had gained on Saturday and some more, just goes to prove, you should weigh in at the same time every week.
Next time work ask me to go away and it will mean missing my WW class, will just need to say no - can't have work messing up my weight loss.
Keep smiling Jingo and Peacock, we all have weeks like that. Just keep at it and be honest to yourself, it will all come together in the end.
Should have said, I have lost exactly 10lbs since joining WW 7 weeks ago. I reward myself for every 10lbs lost, just small things, usually try to make sure they cost under a tenner, and that it involves making time for me and spoiling myself.
First 'reward' is for some babadas (sp) bubble bath and to have a spoil me night in the bath, book and lots of bubbles, and no interruptions. Would put a couple of candles in, but that makes it difficult to read - don't have that many candles.
Not sure when I will do it, am a bit busy this week, maybe Saturday, will give me time buy the bubblely (I dream) bath, get a good book from the library and give the bathroom an extra good scrub
Not that it is dirty, but boys will be boys and sometimes their aiming is a bit suspect and if I am having an hour or so relaxing in there last thing I want is to be looking for damp patches on the wall - sorry too much information.
Heres to the second 10lb, some fancy body mosituriser is the 'reward' that time, a spoil for me and my skin.
I guess we will not see another post from you tonight as you will be doing the wonderful soak in the bath bit...imagine...hot bath...steaming, bubbles and more lather smelling so good you could eat it... candles flickering, music playing blissfull tunes.....and then all is interrupted as you hear "MUM!!!I NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM!!"
Sorry to bring you out of your I hope you do have a good relax and pamper....
Congrats Smiling Sal enjoy your bath (I only have a shower but I really appreciate it as when the boiler wasn't working I hated washing in cold water!)
Am back tonight - bath night / big spoil will be Saturday. Tonight the boys needed baths, back at school tomorrow, tomorrow night is swimming lesson night, Thursday I'm off late night shopping, Friday I'm off out for a curry, so Saturday I relax.
The boys will be banned from the bathroom, they will just need to sit crossed legged

hehehe!
Well, I did meet vll on the scales...well I was on them! She was delighted....and could not understand why I wasn't pleased at the 4.5lb loss. So I told her I had been weighed in her absense and had lost 4 lb weeks ago, so I was not very chuffed at all. mmmmn.
Oh well, as she says the scales are going in the right direction.
I think it helped that I varied my calories each day, one day quite over, and the rest of the days I either cut back or ate an average amount. I don't know about anyone else but I can get stuck in a rut and just eat the same amounts of food day after day, week after week. I'm trying this method again this week, to see if it was just a fluke.
