CG - there's still some left! I put Maltesers in a bowl on the worktop since I was a bit hungry but I only ate about 5. I think there's something wrong with me!

Nothing much to report since last night! I'm at work now and have got my leg up with an ice pack on it. It feels lots better but I'm not taking any chances

Woohooo! My tesco value microwave has arrived at work! (It was first delivered at the weekend when no one was here!). £24 not bad!

I shall be having egg on toast (egg microwaved, bread toasted. Wheeee!).

Peacock - Have fun with your microwave!!! Strange... before I got my first one (which was absolutely enormous) I couldn't think how I would ever use it, nowadays I'd be lost without one.

Frus - Your poor knee... take good care of it. Love the ring!

CG - Enjoy the heat while it lasts. Is it sunny or just humid?

Helen - Could you give me the recipe for the nut roast? I haven't yet found one that I like.

Sarah - the nut roast is stuff out of a packet from Holland & Barrett.

Frus, hope the knee gets better soon.

Knee appears to be ok at the moment - have just walked downstairs and back without any bother. Am icing now for a bit and not walking to the gym

In other news - Prosciutto ham, mozzarella and figs for lunch

I've just found an old school friend through facebook - her mum was our PE teacher. I said... "Tell your Mum I'm running a marathon! I'm doing it to prove I'm not always last!" Gawd those demons don't rest easy do they?

I just walked for 25 minutes and I'm pooped. It's really humid out and I haven't done proper exercise in ages. Good start to the week.

[QUOTE=BritinNJ;1626108

Doughnut... have you tried putting your butternut squash in the microwave to start it cooking? I know this was on another thread, not this chat one, but reading your name reminded me of your question, I poke holes in mine and wrap them in cling wrap and cook for about ten minutes, then scrape them all out to cook in the oven for about half an hour.. they are delish.[/QUOTE]

Ooh thanks. Microwaves I can do.

I see a few of you fellow chicks have a malteser problem. I cured mine recently by reading the ingredients - hydrogenated vegetable oil. I don't do that. That's one chocolte item off my list, only another 999 to struggle with

It was so lovely out this evening. nice blue skies, running off road now we can see where we're going. Sitting in the park reading before going up to running club. I can't wait for summer!

I'm trying to decide whether to contact a couple of people from school on Facebook. Now if I could find my old PE teachers I definitely would, although I might cause them to die from shock!

Piddling down here...not very warm at all. I worked today although it was supposed to be my day off. My new assistant manager called this morning to ask if I could cover her shift as she had car problems.

Because of the change, I ended up being on my own for over an hour before another girl came in...I did ok though and thankfully no one wanted to become a member at that time although if push came to shove, I'm sure I could have managed to make them an appointment for another day to come in and join

Now it's time to veg in front of 24... watching dancing with the stars at the moment though, I didn't watch the first few series, but it's actually quite good... i must be getting old to be enjoying people doing ballroom dancing...

See you all tomorrow.......

Everyone I know loves Dancing With the Stars....

I tried to go to bed early last night, first my Mom called to tell me her flight to Florida had been cancelled until today. I booked the flights for her because she was scared to do it online......so somehow the cancellation due to rain is now my fault

Then I go to bed and wake up to screaming in the alley by my house, 2 huge guys, looked like college kids were fighting. They were just yelling, no hitting but of course I had to watch. Not a restful evening.

Supposed to be really nice today, hope to get a good run in, then write a paper for school.

Oh geez, they just showed an apartment in the UK where a guy has it all decorated in Star Trek gear...he is divorced, no wonder!!!

Oh man DOUGHTNUT - I didn't ever read the ingredients on Maltesers That's it - never again.

Well I'm a bit poorly sick. I woke up with a horrid migraine, I think it might have something to do with not eating enough yesterday or being dehydrated or tired or something. Anyway I'm fine now - I just have to convince DH that it's ok that I can go kickboxing...

Wow quiet day here. I went out for lunch today with 5 girls from Curves. We had a lunch buffet and it was bloody lovely.Soup, salad, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried okra, meat loaf, crusty rolls, corn bread, chocolate cake and sugar free chocolate pudding I didn't eat anything tonight as I wasn't hungry.

I bought my swimsuit yesterday, it's very nice. So I'm all set for the summer. It's still warm 83 degrees today.

Night night everyone.
