Gosh, I missed yesterday and now I have to play catch up. The weather here has been cooler then last week and we've gotten rain for a couple of days now. I had a pretty good day yesterday and got the workouts in. I was up .5 yesterday but it was gone this morning :
Now, let me see if I can catch up....
Thanks to all for the congrats... the support really means a lot and keeps me going. I've read through the thread and everyone seems to be doing okay...
Diana, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother-in-law. I know this just add stress to an already stressful period in your life... but I know you'll get through it! ...Oh and I'm glad you puter did not crash! .
Tina, glad you had a lovely day with your family. Congrats on maintaining and then dropping a pound! Enjoy that nice weather... and why did you mention chocolate! ! ! Yes, you did teach your daughter well! hahaha!
Cheryl, that's for the cheers. and congrats to you on your loss :
Linda, I like all the suggestions but I hope we can keep the same name... afterall that's what brought us all here in the first place JMO.
Michelle, I agree, great job on the personals
Liza, WTG on passing on the Mickey D's ...and sounds like you had a good workout today!
Robbin, hope you day went well and I'm glad your boss was cool with you taking off early.
Robsia, thanks for the congrats. Sounds like you've been very busy. I can imagine that teaching music must be very rewarding. Good luck on the production, should be fun!
I hope everyone has had a good day, I will check back tomorrow.
Robbin ~ I'm glad your boss let you leave early with no problems. He sounds like he could be quite intimidating! I'm feeling a little better tonight, but after eating dinner, I feel a little bloated now. Thank you for the compliments in my daughters.
Lois ~ Great job with your weight being back down! Also, thanks for the compliment on the personals.
Well I hope everyone has a wonderful evening and we'll all be back tomorrow to do some more chatting.
morning gals,
gosh my arms are feeling tired this morning, yesterday i moved my 5lbs to my computer desk and everytime i sat at the comp i did some reps, they soon built up throughout the day!
robbin hope your son wasnt too disappointed to lose the game. and well done resisting the macds i know how hard it is when your buying it for the kids
robsia thanks for answering my computery question and for the compliments
lois, good going on gettin your workouts in...and stop weighing every day that scale demon will put the numbers up to try and discourage you
tina u senior member you lol (tina's gals is my suggestion) my son also knows that f*t is a BAD word!

Robsia, I have been wondering about your book. Can you at least tell us if you write romance, comedy, mystery, crime, etc? I read alot but it is mostly history. I am a really big history buff.
Well, I suppose technically it would be classed as sci-fi as the premise is about time travel - but the bulk of the book is set in the past so it's history too. And there's a bit of romance in there.
When (not if) it's published I'll be sure you give you all a link to the Amazon page
Well, I went out shopping today and bought a nice pair of size 14 trousers in navy. Their lightweight linen blend so they'll be perfect for school this summer. They are a tiny bit tight as yet but they do fasten. And I bought two new bars - the 'push em up and squish em together' type. I'm a 40D but as I've lost weight the girls have started to head south so these give them a bit of a boost.
AND!!!
I looked at a lovely white lacy short-sleeved blouse on the hanger. I picked up the 16 and then thought "Oh - let's see" and picked up the 14 instead. Now this was not a stretchy top, which I can get away with - this was a fitted, buttoned blouse and I thought no way am I going to squeeze my 40Ds into that. But I did. And it fastened. And it looks really nice!!!
I think one of the best things about losing weight is all the new clothes you can buy! Although it would be nicer if I didnt have to spend my own money!
Okay . . . cover your ears . . . this isn't going to be pretty . . .
Oh BOO, HISS, BOO . . . . . . HISS, BOO, HISS . . . Why does the ugly old scale- hate me this morning? I've been good; I don't deserve this! Okay . . . you can take your fingers out of your ears now.
It's a good thing the sun is shining because that is the only around here this morning. I gained .8 and I really don't know why. At my age I can't even blame it on TOM although I do know that the body still cycles to some extent. Guess I should pay more attention to the pattern. I know my ankles have been a little puffy but I sort of put it down to too much time on the computer. Who really knows. Anyway, it will go away again and I hope it's soon. In the meantime, I refuse to change my ticker (that seemed to work out for Cheryl) this week.
Anyway, gang, sorry about the bad humour . . . it too will pass. In the meantime, I wish everybody a far better day than the one I seem to be having so far.
Keep on doing the right stuff and the rewards will surely follow. (Repeat the foregoing phrase every 15 minutes throughout the day, Linda.)
Good Morning Again Ladies, MMMMMM YAWN YAWN, I did not want to get out of bed this morning.
Meowee, IT WILL BE OK. Sometimes our bodies do get minds of thier own. I am sure the .8 will be gone soon with more to follow. Just keep doing the right stuff.
Robsia, I am now very interested in your book. Congrats on the size 14, I cant wait to get there myself. I have dropped 1 size. I am not longer a 20 I am now a size 18. YEAH!!!
I have one thing I really wanted to say before I have to get to work.
I have found the cure for my sweet tooth. The calories are a little more than I would like to put in for a small snack, but I always make sure I have a snack before going to bed and I am gonna plan for this. Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches. MMMMM they are so good. 1.5 grams of fat and 140 calories. They are big enough you don't feel cheated on the snack and the chocolate flavored ones really taste like chocolate.
robbin, congrats on going down a size and thanks for the tip i'll have to keep an eye out for those icecreams, bet they aint as good as hagaan daaz tho lol but heck for 1.5gs of fat i'll give them a go!
oh meowee, im sending u a big virtual hug, i know how disappointing that demon can be. just dont drown your sorrows in calories and fats ok! it'll soon disappear again dont worry.
just found this picture while browsing and thought wow i have lost that lump of fat X4
just thought id share as it was definatly an eye opener for me, all those times we moan that we have only lost whatever just think wot that actually looks like and how much healthier we are making our bodies by losing.
(makes me glad i just ate a plate of steamed veggies for dinner!)
Good Morning Everyone ~ Well our nice sunny beautiful weather is no longer here. Today it's very cloudy, overcasted and suppose to rain. I actually had to turn the heat on for a little bit this morning, so a big difference from this past week!
Liza ~ Your pictures are cute and they look like they're full of energy!
Robsia ~ Your new blouse looks really good! I can't wait until I'm in some smaller sized clothing!
HELP,
My boss bought lunch today and when I said no thank you he wouldnt take no for an answer. I ordered as healthy as I could, Broiled Orange Roughy Baked Potato, Salad with Lite Italian Dressing. Well when the food was delivered guess what. Regular Italian Dressing was on the salad. I only ate a little off the top and not the stuff that was setting in oil at the botom. I ate the fish and the potato with only about a teaspoon of regular Sour Cream. But he also added to my order. He added a huge peice of chocolate cake. It is now sitting on my desk just begging me to eat it. I keep pushing it further and further away. He said I can cheat today because He bought lunch. He also told me that if I lost weight he would be mad at me. I think he was half joking and half serious. I dont want to hurt any feelings by not eating it but..........I honestly dont want it. What to do?????? What to do??????
I've been having a pretty good day. The sun has returen and the temps are a bit warmer. I know it's said all the time but I can't say enough how instrumental this thread is in keeping me focused. I stepped on the scale today and I'm down ½ lb. : another new low! in fact every lb I've lost since 250 has been a new low as I had not been below that weight in about eight years... and to be at this weight, well I'm not even going to guess how long it's been
Robbin, congrats on the NSV ..you did really well with lunch today ...just take that cake and give it away!
Liza, thanks and you're right I should not weigh everyday but it's a bad habit I can't seem to break Now, when I was trying to lose weight that scale stayed dusty!
Robsia, congrats girl on that NSV... and that blouse looks great on you!
Linda, lol... that's okay, go ahead and vent. ...and you're right, it will soon go away.
Michelle, I know what you mean we had a couple of chilly days too.. but the made a return today!
Hope everyone is enjoying their day... I will check back later.
Robbin ~ You still did a good job with eating for lunch...great job!
Lois ~ Congratulations with your weight loss! Every little bit is an accomplishment towards your goal. I have not been doing too good these past few days, and I need to get back on track real soon!
Michelle...Your daughters are gorgeous! Hope you are feeling better and the bug decided to go visit someone else. I'm a born and breed Oregonian, so I already have webbed feet.LOL We have rain coming in for tomorrow, but you can send me the mountains. I miss them the most.
Tina...WHOO HOO on another pound gone! MMmmmmm, I love frozen yogurt, but have to drive 90 miles to get one. Maybe that's a good thing. I can buy forzen yogurt in the grocery store, but I like the soft serve kind.
Robsia...WOW! You are one busy lady. Sure to melt away a few more pounds. Love your new blouse. Really looks nice on you.
Robbin...Give the cake away or take it home to your kids by way of the trunk! Out of sight, out of mind! Great job on the food choices you made for lunch and for passing up McDonalds lastnight. You'll get rewarded for that by a few pounds gone by next week. The pound fairy just told me. Sorry to hear your son's team lost their game, but I think it does them good to be on the lossing end once in awhile. Is your hubby Army? We spent 20 years with the Marines. Can't believe how fast those years went by. Love Skinny Cow bars. YUMMY!!!
Liza...Have fun at the Adventure Park with your son. Great job on the strenth training. Your arms will thank you!! Liza, Skinny Cow Bars are 2 points. I love the mint and the chocolate.
Linda...This too will pass and yes you can blame it on TOM. As you said, your body still cycles, otherwise we still wouldn't have hot flashes. I know now that when I get the urge to eat anything not nailed down, that TOM is only a few days away. Going to resist the urge to graze and up my water instead. Hang in there.
Lois...Aren't you glad those little bumps in the road don't last long. Congrats on 1/2 pound gone for good!
Well the pound fairy was very nice to take away another pound. I'm not changing my ticker till monday, incase she decides to grant me another pound or two. I had a great day food and exercise wise. Stayed within my points. Also have beautiful weather, blue skies and a nice warm 75 degrees. Tonight has been a downer. My foster daughters boyfriend was killed in a 4X4 accident. We just saw him at confirmation less than 4 hours ago. Just can't believe he is gone. Have a good night ladies.
