    hope y'all are having a good weekend, my boys gone to bed and im booorred, theres nothin on tv and iv got the munchies this is always my bad time, in the evening sat in front of tv or comp i just wanna eat cos im bored. really cant be bothered working out again tho....argh wot to do wot to do....
  • Hey girls,

    Missed y'all yesterday. I wanted to go to the track yesterday but my daughter had previous plans... but promised she would take me today, so I took yesterday off instead of today.

    I did get to the track today and I did 8 laps (2 miles). Those 2 miles are a lot different then the 2 mile WATP vid... but I had set the goal of 8 laps before I left home. My son and daughter "were" going to walk with me but those amateurs only lasted 2½ laps... haha! The weather was perfect for it too... it was about 70 but it was mostly cloudy. The sun poked out on my next to last lap and I know had it been out the whole time I may not have made it! haha. Oh, and on the way home the rain started... so I got my walk in just in time. Looks like the rain will be here a day or two, so it will be WATP tomorrow!

    I got on the scale this morning : and found I'm down 1½ lbs. so far for the week. ...it's about time things got to moving a bit more. So can y'all tell I'm having a good day?

    Diana, ...your life sounds so stressful but with all that stress you still manage to show some will power and that can only be a good thing. I sure hope things in your life lighten up a bit... hang in there girl!

    Robbin, congrats on that NSV ...and that lasagna sounds yummy... I love seafood, next time vaccum seal some and send it to me!

    Liza, aww, I missed your av but WTG on the workouts, you're doing great! ...oh and you're not alone, I had some fat filled microwave popcorn last night, but I had some help from my son, so I didn't eat the entire bag. haha!

    Linda, ...see, I told you I'd be sending you some ...so glad it arrived as schedule... Enjoy!

    Cheryl, thanks, and yes the weather has been lovely all week (knock on wood). That's good advice Tina gave you. Even though I have set goals of 10 lb increments, I have not put a time limit on it... It just makes the big picture look more attainable if I do it a little bit at a time... lol

    Tina, relax... you earned that reward and it I bet it was so yummy! You have been doing just awesome and I don't think that pizza can hold a candle to that fat burning machine you got going on over there.. haha! ...keep up the good work girl!

    well i did half a mile on tread, calfs were really aching so couldnt finish the mile, but twas better than a snack eh! tis nearly midnight so im off to bed, hope to see some of ya back tomoz!

  • Hey all! I guess by the echo in the room everyone is having a great weekend. That's great, hope you're all buring calories while you're out there! Had a pretty okay day myself, although I missed exercise today. You would think after the pizza I would be nonstop. But there's always Monday!

    Liza, I don't know why you put yourself down. You look fab girl, you have big beautiful eyes. Don't take the pic down. Way to go on keeping your cravings controlled. You're doing so good, keep it up! You've got me beat in the excercise department for sure!

    Linda, I'm glad to hear the sun has made an appearance for you. Go out and enjoy!

    Lois, awesome exercising girl! Congrats on the loss! You're back with a vengence, glad to see it! And thanks for the pep!

  • Hi ladies

    Well, I thought this week was going to be a slow one. It was coming off but only in bits but then this morning I saw a drop of 0.8 so I've lost 2 lbs in total - better than my last two weeks. And that's with eating chocolate last Sunday too! Wahoo!!

    Hit my halfway goal yesterday and surpassed it today. Also hit my Easter writing goal of 100,000 words on Friday and surpassed that - have done 104,755 - so I think I can say this week has been a success all round.

  • Awwww, girls! All your encouraging words made my eyes well up with tears! Thanks, everyone, for all the nice words! I know that each of you meant it with sincerity..and that means everything!!! I know that we all realize how important we are to each other.....I just want to say that I realy, REALLY appreciate each and every one of you!

    Well, life got a little more stressful if you can believe that. My Mamaw-in-law found out Friday evening that she has lung cancer. It is tearing me up! My son absolutely adores her....so do I! We won't know until they get lab results if it's treatable or terminal. She's 78....and it's not looking good because there's so much of it. I cried half the day Friday.....even so, did well with eating. Stayed well within my points. I'll be working full-time it seems for a long time.....ahh, stress, stress everywhere. Don't ya just hate it?? LOL
    Well, while I did good Friday, Saturday was probably a bomb. I did really good all day until night meal. It was my father-in-law's b-day....we (the WHOLE family) took him to all-you-can-eat seafood for dinner. My husband and I saved up all our points for dinner.....I probably didn't bomb that bad. My point target is 28. When we got there, I'd only had 3 for the day. I ate 4 pieces fried catfish, probably 8 french fries, two hushpuppies, 1 stuffed crab, 2 onion rings, and a handfull of fried shrimp. It was all fried....they don't offer ANY healthy foods at this place. EVERYTHING'S fried. The good thing is that I didn't eat nearly as much as normal. I'd normally have gone back for seconds and probably thirds. Then I'd have had dessert. But I was totally full when I finished the plate I had. I also had three or four bites of the birthday banana pudding (usually it's cake, but his fav. is banana pudding).
    The good news is (YES, there is some!!!)....I don't know how long it'll last after my meal last night, but today I was down a total of 9 lbs! Not bad for 1 1/2 weeks! I dread the day when that weekly amount slows! I know it's coming very soon, though! I'm enjoying the ride while it lasts, though! I did a lot of "exercising" yesterday, too....so hopefully I made up for some of what I ate last night. I cleaned house for probably 2-3 hours and then went grocery shopping for probably 1 1/2 hours. Before, I'd have been too beat after cleaning house to even attempt shopping! lol
    Girls, keep me in your thoughts and prayers as we go thru the next several weeks and months of whatever is in store for mamaw. I know that I can stick to my points. I just concerned about mamaw.

    Did typing keep you away from eating a snack yesterday???? I'll have to do that, too, when I am being tempted!! lol Hey, we do what works, right???
  • aww thanks gals y'all are sweethearts. confidence has taken a bit of a bashing over the years but honestly he did get a good pic wiv that one, its slightly blurry so u cant see the awful skin and its slightly to the side so u cant see the crooked nose!
    havnt got my workout done yet will try to squeeze it in this evening. weigh in day tomorow, fingers crossed for a pound or 2 off.

  • I'm thinking I'm going to have to bow out of this thread. This is for those trying to lose 100 pounds this year and I don't see me losing 100 pounds in 8 months since I have lost and gained and lost and gained and am right back where I started. I'll still be around the board though.
