tofat.....this challenge started off by just that....challenging another thread called "dyp"...dump your plump. But apparently they haven't posted in awhile so who knows really. Wendy popped into their thread 'taunting' them that we would win a month challenge against them.
What did happen to those DYPers??? I guess they new they were gonna get beat right when they started!!! lol
I have a question for everyone. I was thinkin about this while working out on my elliptical machine...thanks guys....well, they say you're not supposed to wash your hair everyday..and mine is really dry, but I work out everyday and my head sweats like crazy!!! I don't know if there's something I can use or do....guess i'm destined to have dry hair for all eternity. or if you guys have any tips...please share.
Hope everyone does awesome today...let's rack up those points because there is a weekend coming up and you know how we all love to slack off during the weekend...lol
Rosario ~ I absolutely have to wash my hair every single day because I sweat so bad when I work out. When I have the time I let my hair air dry rather than use the blowdryer and that helps with the dryness. Maybe your hairdresser would have tips for you.
I'm not doing very good on the points this week because I'm not getting to the gym with my daughter off from school all week but I plan on getting right back to the gym on Monday and racking up those points!!
Can't help you girls as I wash my hair ....oh about 2x a week!!! Its rather short and I don't usually have a problem with sweat I guess at least not my scalp. I would suggest a really good leave on deep conditioner. Go to Sally Beauty supply (where most hairdressers shop) and ask them. I have heard about conditioners that you leave on while you sleep. Just a thought!!!
I have no idea what to use! I have really short hair(shorter than that pic)and I have died it 3 times in the past week!so needless to say it's pretty dry,and I have to wash everyday because I use alot of product on my hair and don't like the build up feeling(blah)I do use a product called replenising cream by garnier Fructis that is pretty good!
I have to get my butt in gear and hop on the bike first
I'll check in later!

Hi guys. Looks like you're all doing well. My day has been pleasant. I have long hair and sweat ALOT so I wash everyday. Plus my hair is colored so add in the dryness. I LOVE Keraphix by Nexus (They just started selling in stores, used to be salon only) It makes my hair feel silky.
I have to work all weekend but I'll try to check in when I can. Have a healthy weekend ladies!!! I'm so glad to be part of such a wonderful support group, you guys really inspire me to keep motivated.

Morning all. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday! I'm off to a tea this afternoon to sell my jewelry and promote one of the shops I teach at. It'll be fun just to hang out with the shop owner for awhile regardless of sales.
I have a question/need advise. I am a church organist and we enter lent on Wednesday. This means my schedule goes into overdrive. (Mon-Thur. I'll be busy every night) I am worried on how I'll maintain the workouts/healthy eating that have in place in the less hectic months prior. What do you guys do that helps you fit it all in? Thanks in advance for the help.
Rosario, It sounds weird, but back when I had long hair (10-15 yrs ago) I'd but olive oil on it once a month and leave it wrapped in a towel overnight. I permed the crap out of it and most people thought it was natural since the olive oil once a month really kept it moisturized. I used the Lori Davis hair care products other than the olive oil back then. Now I'm Suave all the way with short colored hair (maybe I'm just a SAHM who cuts every penny now LOL). Nett
tofat.....ahhhh, yes Lent, it is that time of year. Well my advice would be to have good healthy snacks available to eat on your way from work to church and church to home so that you don't inhale the fridge after your extra long day. Working out might be a video tape in the morning before you start your day but you're right....you need some extra plannning. Some good snacks might be, a drinkable yogurt, cheese string and pretzels, a hard boiled egg, trail mix (watch the fat gr.) a granola bar. You know....something satisfying to hold you over until you can have a meal.
