Good morning all. I had an okay night - stopped by the grocery store and then did some things around the house. I made dinner, cleaned up, and then went upstairs to watch Deal or No Deal in bed. I fell asleep at like 8:30pm and woke up at 1:30am with my glasses still on, as well as the TV. Oops. I was so tired though. And I still didn't want to get up when my alarm went off at 5:45am! Oh yeah - had WI today and was the same - I was so happy after my disasterous weekend of eating!!!

ROCKER: Glad you didn't have any probs at the dentist. My Dad has to wear a guard to sleep on because he grinds his teeth! You still on meds? How are you feeling? (aside from SICK OF WORK!!! lol)

SPILLIE: I'm sure I'd like Two for the Money, because like TWIDDLE I love gambling, LMAO! I have Elizabethtown at home that I still have to watch...along with a crapload of other movies!

TWIDDLE: We had boneless pork chops on Saturday night for dinner - shake n bake style. Yum! So funny that you mention the meat. I was at the grocery store on Friday and I do the self checkout. Well, after I paid and was done I noticed that I was overcharged for something...so I took my recipe and one of the bags up to the customer service counter. There was this old lady in front of me that wanted to return this big thing of hamburger (that was like brown - ewww) because she thought she was going to need it, but didn't. Ummm, WTF?? They asked her if she tried to freeze it and she said she didn't have any room. WTF - I couldn't believe she had the nerve to try to return meat because 'she doesn't need it anymore' - ay yi yi! Ouch, this green kinda hurts my eyes!

DUTCHIE: Good to see you! Hope you are taking a breather there at work! Do you get some comp time for after busy season is over since you've been working so much?

I have some meat marinating at home right now in the fridge. I'm going to have a stir fry with that and veggies tonight for dinner.

RockerChick 03-08-2006 08:28 AM

Morning CHICKIES! Last night was a bust for me...came home after work, turned on the news and the next thing I know it's 11pm! I got up, went to bed and slept til 3am...got up, turned on the TV and slept some more til 6:30am! OMG, don't know what that was all about...missed dinner and everything. I can say I do feel a bit better from getting some apparently much needed rest.

I've already had my coffee and breakfast sandwhich, courtesy of Wawa.

Have a staff meeting after lunch today...somebody poke my eyeballs out now. ROCKER HATES THESE MEETINGS b/c 99% of the time they have nothing to do w/me. YUCK.

SPILLIE: tonite's the night for PR! WOOHOO...I plan on setting my vcr b/c I'll prolly fall asleep.

VIVA: what was fo dinner last night? I didn't have any.

TWIDDLE: how you doin?

DUTCHIE: sounds like you've been very busy...hopefuly 4/15 will come quickly!

Have a nice day!

VIVA~GIRL 03-08-2006 08:56 AM

Morning. PR? What's PR? Viva had a veggie/steak stir fry last night with brown rice - it was very good!! I was kinda impressed with myself. LOL. Tonight I'm having leftover meatloaf that my Mom sent in with my Dad to give me...and I'm not sure what else I'll have? Maybe I'll throw together some stove top and go light on the butter - that would go well! I really need to figure out the menu for this weekend. It usually takes me a few days to finalize everything and get a grocery list together.
Oh yeah - can I get a recount? how about reweigh-in. I got on the scale this morning and I was down 1 lb. Can I just use the excuse that my scale was taking a vacation day yesterday????

ROCKER: Sounds like you got some much needed rest!

DUTCHIE: Good luck at WI!

Hi TWIDDLE & SPILLIE.

RockerChick 03-08-2006 09:18 AM

VIVA: PR=Project Runway....same channel as BLOWOUT. Tonite is the finale.

K and I are all ready to sit in front of the TV. Can't wait. Santino's got to GO!!!

Good Morning Chicas,

How is everyone doing? I didn't have time for dinner last night so I ended up having a slice of pizza and about 8 fries. I am so proud of myself though, because any other time I would have eaten 2 or 3 slices of pizza and the whole bag of fries. But after eating just the one slice I was done. It felt so greasy and just wrong; and it was from K and mine favorite place too. So I guess that would be considered a little NSV.

Tonight I have Turkey Chili in the slow cooker. I made oatmeal for breakfast and I have my leftover Beef Stroganoff with grits for lunch. After yesterday not having time for dinner and making myself sick I needed structure again. Amazing how little things change in your life when you only wanted to be thin.

DUTCHIE, sorry to hear about the gain...but you have been doing so well and you are aware of what you did wrong, so you just go back to eating the right way again.

HI TWIDDLE and VIVA.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

twiddle-my-thumbs 03-08-2006 09:20 AM

Good morning chicklets!!

ROCKER - Are you feeling better from being sick? It sounds like you are, other than needing rest. Entertain yourself at the meeting...picture them all naked and just start giggling to yourself. :D

We had low-fat ravioli and turkey meatballs last night for dinner. YUM-MY!

VIVA - I have to bow out for the 18th. Bummer! And yeah, I don't know what PR is either.

Got up and ran extra this morning while watching Amazing Race from last night. I feel so good about running in the morning. It really does start my day off right, although I really need to start going to bed earlier. I'm tired, but energized, if that makes any sense.

Tonight is a happy hour with some co-workers. We kept talking about getting together, but we had to wait until my detox was finished, so we're going tonight. Hopefully since it's Wednesday we won't be out too late.

I tried the de-alcoholized wine last night (I told you guys about that, right?). The first bottle was a bust. Sutter Home Merlot. Way too grape-juicey for me. I looked at the other Sutter Home we got (Chardonnay) and it has even more juice in it, so I have a feeling it won't be so good either. The other brand that we got didn't mention anything about juice, and has lower calories and sugar content, so maybe it'll be better. We'll see. That's my unofficial report so far.

Well, I guess that's about it for me. Have a good one, everyone!

VIVA~GIRL 03-08-2006 10:12 AM

No - I don't think you told us about the de-alcoholized wines - unless I just missed it?

That's okay about the 18th. No biggie. Since no one else is sure we'll just bag the idea. I'll just stay home and have a few quiet hours to myself - or maybe I'll go shopping, who knows.

Re: the de-alcoholized wine. There are a couple of wineries that make it. It's supposed to taste more like wine and less like grape juice, because it's made through the exact same process as regular wine, but then alcohol is removed at the end. The closest place I could find around here that sells it is a Canal's in Delran (NJ), so S and I trekked over there on Sunday to buy some. We got 2 bottles of each of the 2 wineries, and opened the 1st bottle last night. It was definitely very grape juicey, and I would not prefer that as a substitute for wine. So that's my first review!

SPILLIE 03-08-2006 10:38 AM

Instead of a weekend get together maybe we can do it sometime during the week. Like we have done in the past. How about WW? I could go for that Tex Mex Salad and a few beers.

My downstairs neighbor who is pregnant loves wine and beer like the rest of us and had bought some of the non-alcohol wine and beer and said she didn't like it either. As for the beer I tried it and it is not something I want again. :barf:

twiddle-my-thumbs 03-08-2006 11:07 AM

I'm still holding out hope for the other winery's products, with less calories and less sugar. Hoping it's not as juicey, and more winey. We'll see...

RockerChick 03-08-2006 11:27 AM

Never heard of de-alcoholized wine....learned something new today. Being that I can't do wine is prolly why I never heard of it.

WW sounds good to me...when we goin'?

Gonna sign off now and get ready to go home for lunch...will head to that blasted mtg. afterwards. I'm hoping to be back here by 3:30 but you never know. Try not to have too much fun here while I'm poking my eyes out during the meeting. I almost feel asleep the last time b/c it was so hot in his office.....and BORING!!!!

VIVA~GIRL 03-08-2006 11:50 AM

Sorry - I'm NOT givin' up the alcohol part of my wine...nope, not happenin'...

RockerChick 03-08-2006 03:21 PM

I'm back with my eyeballs still in tact! LMFAO....OMG though, it was rough. I so wanna take a nap now.

RockerChick 03-08-2006 03:24 PM

PSA: Bon Jovi will be the musical guest tonite on Leno....just in case anyone's interested. And even if you're not, now you know!

THAT IS ALL.
