I hope all had a good night. I went home with all intentions again of going back out to go the gym, didn't happen. I have not been in a very good place lately and I really need to re-focus. Being sick last week really took its toll on me. CHICKIE did you know that the DD Lite Latte's are very good? You can get any flavor coffee and they just make it with FF milk and Splenda. I really enjoy the French Vanilla Lite Latte and for me it is completely Core so I don't have to count the pts. YAY!! VIVA have you made any new recipes lately? I'm looking for different stuff to make. TWIDDLE wha' up? DUTCHIE how are you holding up with this busy season? Well that's all for now. Started this about 1/2 an hour ago and they keep interupting me. The nerve of trying to get me to work while I'm trying to play! TTYL. |

Not too much longer until it's all over! Had yoga class last night. It was a good one. Learned a couple more new positions...some of those are really tough! Ran this morning...5K plus some walking. I got up earlier than I have been since I can only run 3 mornings now, and I had to watch Amazing Race. It felt good. Not much else going on here. I'm going to show a gain for tomorrow's WI, and I'm kinda depressed about it, but I know why it happened. I just hate that I can't break into the 150s, at least not officially (I did on Saturday morning for the first time ever, but it didn't count). Oh well. I know what I need to do, it's just hard to stay focused sometimes. Alright, that's it for me! Hope you all have a fantabulous Wednesday! |
Good morning. No, I don't think I have any new recipes - just a Cooking Light BBQ Meatloaf, but I may have mentioned that before? I was just telling ROCKER that I need to find some new recipes to make. I'm getting sick of the same crap. When I don't feel like making anything I have been eating oatmeal with dried cranberries. That's been happening a few times a week...lol. So I'm on a mission to find some new things...I'll let you know what I find. I'm going to tackle my WW Take Out Tonight Cookbook and my Cook's Illustrated Best Light Recipes to get some fresh ideas.
TWID: Maybe you could try embedding your flex points into your daily points like I do? Have a high day, some medium high and some low days...maybe that will help you get down to the 150's. My real problem was that I weighed myself on Saturday and saw the 158.5, and then gave myself permission to splurge a little bit because I was so low. This is what usually happens when I get low like that. I do try to alternate lower and higher days (that whole "banking points" thing) to keep things on edge, but it's the splurging that kills me. Part of the problem, too, was that we had some beer on Saturday night. Some with dinner, which was fine, but then we played darts when we got home and kept drinking. I then proceeded to devour Baked Lays as a result (and part of the mindset that, hey, they're baked, they're "healthy"). So it's not like I'm staying OP and not losing...I know what's happening, I know the mentality/psychology behind it, but I can't seem to figure out how to stop it. That's what I have to do to truly succeed. That's why the lowest I've officially weighed is 160.5 (which I've hit several times over the years). *sigh* I'll get the hang of this. Someday. :)

Hey, I just wanted to ask a favor. It seems that when we do these little challenges on here just to be accountable, I do a little better than when I am completely on my own. I have been doing good, but I know I need to boost it up a little better. My suggestion:
How about we go back to when we used to journal our day here on the board? Do you think we could do this for about a month? My personal goal is to lose at least 5lbs in the next month. How about your personal goals? Along with journaling of course we also have our water challenge. Do you think we can do this and be accountable? If you are interested in doing this for the next month, we have two options; 1) We can start on Monday, April 3rd to start the month off right, or 2) We can start tomorrow morning just to get a jump start. WHICH WOULD YOU PREFER IF YOU WERE INTERESTED? |
I'm up for it! Great idea, SPILLIE! I'd like to be below 160 by vacation time, which isn't too far away, so this is perfect! I say we start tomorrow.
I have one favor to add on to it...can we make the posts separate? Meaning, if you're posting about the stuff you did or little comments or whatever, keep them separate from the journal post? I miss stuff sometimes if I'm just scanning over the journal stuff, because it was all posted together. Thanks!:D |

I agree w/TWIDDLE in making our journaling seperate form our other posts. So we'll be journaling food and water intake...can we add exercise too? That would really help me...I have the hardest time with that lately. Or if you all didn't wanna journal your exercising I still will. I've been slacking on that way too much. |
