turkeys cookin!
I am up early this morning.. got my turkey in the oven... couldnt pass it up at 25 cents per lb.. lmao dont know what i will do with a 12 lb turkey.. but I guess I can freeze the some of the meat
then i started thinking maybe it wasnt such a bargain.. I have a gas stove and propane is 3.99 a gallon here.. lol will cost me @ 10 worth of propane to cook my cheapie turkey! oh well.. i am sure chai will help me eat it! He is going thru those itchy scratchies again so i had to bathe him in medicated shampoo last night & find creative ways to hide the benedryl so he doesnt spit it out... Angel I hope u had a GREAT birthday!!! |
Good Morning Chicks ~ just having some breakfast before I head off to school, so thought I would check in.
Looks like it was a quiet day yesterday, hope everyone was enjoying their Saturday. Tax class wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but by 3:00 in the afternoon I quickly lost interest. Today is Human Resources, so we will see how that goes. At least our instructor yesterday was kind enough not to bring donuts !! Have a wonderful Sunday and TTYS :D |
Hi PIC'S!!!
Thanks for all the bday wishes!!! I had an absolutely fabulous day. Let me gloat a little......ds (new wolf cub scout) cooked a divine plate of scrambled eggs and whole wheat toast. He was so proud of himself. Then after a quick coffee, we had to go and collect the donated canned food for the boy scout drive. We were gone all morning and didn't get home until 2 pm. The food pantry at the shelter was over flowing with donations that they were piling them up in the hallways!!! It does you good to know that people are so generous at this time of year!!! Dinner was fantastic. We went to this seafood place that dh surfed the city for and it didn't let us down. I had grilled New England scallops with a corn/salsa and asperagus. Nice to know that I was still OP and wasn't even tempted by the cheese biscuits that were continuously floating around our table. Dessert was a few forkfulls of a chocolate liquered (sp?) mouse cake that dh and I shared. I'm not keen on liquers, so I wasn;'t tempted past a few mouthfuls. YIPPIE!!!! I left feeling fully in control and was pleasantly full. (not my usual "I have" to have everything feeling!!) Oh....and the best news.....some little birdies were definitely listening because I got my heart rate monitor I was asking for!!! Don't know how to program it yet....but I will by tommorow!!! LOL |
Hey everyone,
Guess what??? I finally did it, I am officially in onederland. I lost 3.4 today so that buts me at 198. whoo hoo. I was so stressed this week about not having a scale to peak at and see but maybe that is a good thing. Must keep it up for the holidays. Got to get back to unpacking, good to see everyone checking in. Jennie |
WOOHOOO!!!! :carrot: Jennie's in Onederland!!!! I knew you could do it!!! :carrot: :cheer:
|
WTG Jennie!!
Jennie Congrats on ONEderland! I'm so excited! I can't wait to get there myself! :carrot:
I'm so tired today. I worked an adopt-a-pet fundraiser for pets to have their pictures with santa. We had quite a few pets and owners and made $1700! I voluneteered my husband to be santa and he did such a great job. I'll have to scan on of the pictures to show you all! Hope everyone had a great weekend! :smug: |
way to go! Jennie!! :cheer::cheer:
|
:bravo: Yeah Jennie. Maybe you should hide your scale more often.
I've had a busy day visiting with friends. Talk with you all soon. Dee-I got a response about the rice protein. One person said she had tried it when trying to avoid dairy and it seemed to work okay but that it doesn't dissolve as well in liquids as whey or eggwhites. |
Here are a couple of the pictures of my husband as Santa with our dog boogie and a foster kitten :) Sorry about the huge pictures. I don't know how to make a clickable thumbnail here.

Hey Ladies,
I went ahead and ordered the Four Corners Book... I may be bombarding you with questions Petra lol.... Also I may go ahead and add the protein to the program too? I tried the rice one (chocolate) and yukkkkkk. Maybe if it were mixed with something other than water it would be better. I"ll try the whey next time. ;) I feel like I really need to start looking into and understanding a lot of the supplements, etc we carry at the store. I don't order that section of the store, so I never really paid attention to what they are, or what they do.... I think I'm going to switch my official scale to my home one. Same time each morning, official weigh in once a week. Do you guys think that's a good/bad/doesn't really matter idea? Jennie~ WoooooHOOOOOOOO GF!!!! Way to go... A new place and Onderland all in the same week!!!! Does life get any better? TLB~ So how could anyone possibly lose intrest in tax class?!?! HUman resources sounds somewhat more interesting. Hope I'm right about that lol.. Val~ Awesome pics. Bing makes a great Santa lmao. BTW I notice you are accumulating a lot of blinking flowers lol... OK Woman, Let's hit Onederland too!!! Curley~ You with us??? The next wave to join the club! My goodness girl... looks like you've created another yummy treat... maybe without the pineapple for me??? Gotta finish the last treat first tho lol. Did you try Petra's crust yet? Lets all get to that Onederland!!!! I'm psyched again lol. Can't wait for my book now. :grouphug: |
Great pics Val-think I could send my boys out to have their pictures taken with Santa? LOL
I've never tried mixing the powder in water because that just sounds gross to me. I put mine in yogurt. Some people also put it in cottage cheese and add it to baked goods. I used some yesterday to make protein bars but I wasn't that impressed with them. The authors of Protein Power which is the plan I do recommend eating sardines as a good source of omega 3's. A lot of people on the protein power board actually do this. Some of them actually eat them for breakfast! I've decided I"m going to try them again--haven't had them since I was a kid. I've been getting all kinds of advice about how to eat sardines. Kind of funny. |
Hey Ladies,
Thanks so much for the encouragement and the support. I feel like I had the best week ever. My house is so nice, I feel like the luckiest girl alive, and I hit my goal!!! Yeah, pedicure here I come(that was my present for getting to my goal). Petra, I think I will leave the scale in the box for a while, not that I know what box it is but I won't look for it. It makes it easier to just focus on my plan than on the number. iwmonn, I know nothing about suppliments. I probably should start looking into them to. WW core just focuses on whole foods so no supplements are suggested but its always good to learn. Val, what cute pictures and youraised so much $$ good job. Angel, sounds like you had a great b-day. its nice when people take care of you! Curly, how's the turkey? its funny to think about things that way, well not funny but interesting perspective. TEB, how is class going? Lisa, turtle, deerod, l2l, averyone else, have a good monday, Jennie |
A new flower!
I just did my weekly weigh in and I was down 1 pound :carrot:
I'm so excited to get one more flower! I hope everyone is having a great day! :smug: |
sardines... YUCK.. tho i do take cod liver oil capsules
i really like the whey protein.. i mix it with skim milk in the blender and it gets real froothy like a smoothie, i have added it to my oatmeal after its cooked, and ive mixed it with flavored waters.. not too bad.. |
