I've walked 3 days in a row now, my route is about 4.5 km. Today it was 22'C so I was hot, especially pushing the double stroller which isn't an easy one to push. I have plans to do it again tomorrow. |

Got some exercise yesterday, one day in a row. lol Stay pretty close to points, then got home from the hospital, yes the son AGAIN, and ate like a pig. My DS's friend cast off while fishing and hooked my son in the ear canal with a spinner hook. THe kind with several hooks. Anyway, we could only get part of it out so I had to take him to ER. Doc numbed his ear. Clipped the barbs off the front side, pushed it back through the ear and clipped the barbs off that side, then pulled it on out. I must say, I about tossed my cookies even looking at it. Gez, then got home and ate. haha. Anyway, all is good, he is fine. No real damage, just gonna scar a bit on the outside. It needed stitches, but there is no skin there stitch, so they taped it shut. We are laughing now. I told his friend that seemed to be his biggest catch of the day. LOL Work awaits me, have a terrific day all. |

The lady I was going ot walk with today cancelled on me. It'll be hard to go now. Someone just told me about Nutella, I was better off never have tasted it. I only allow it for a treat. |
Hey everyone! Dropping a quick note to say that my internet is down and I lost only .25 this week. But I sprained my elbow, got medicated, and spent all of last week drifting in and out of conciousness. I don't even remember what I ate so I'm very lucky I didn't gain! I'll try to post tomorrow. *MWAH*

Everything is going well here, But I just need some encouragement. I do pretty well dduring the day, so I just have to keep that attitude until bedtime. I am going to the gym this afternoon, and I will hopefully do better than on Monday. I am aiming to get 30min cardio in plus 45-50mins weights. I am also taking DS roller skating this evening, so that will be extra cardio. This will be the last skating party of the year for his school, so I know I will miss it a little. DH is going to stay at home with the 2 girls to make it easier. They all wwent the last time, but our youngest DD was a little crabby, and did not end up skating much. and DH doesn't do too well, so he is opting out. Hopefully my dad will bring my brothers and sisters because they really enjoyed themselves the last time. have to run and get DS on the bus. later chicas!! |

I've had a horrible stressful week so haven't been around much. It was all business related so won't bother you with the boring details! WI today and I lost 3.5lbs. I have decided to change my treat night to Fridays instead of Sunday as it is further away from WI day! I like the bigger bi-weekly amounts but I would rather see a 1lb a week as it encourages me more. So 25lbs lost total, 23.5 to go till 199! It seems more possible now! I'm not feeling too well today, stomach is all churned up after dealing with the electric company. They've totally messed up our bills the past few months despite the bill saying they read the meter and seem to have been overcharging us - our bill went from $500 a month to under $100 in Feb and March - how does that make sense! I've been trying to get them to compromise as we had a past due bill for just over $1000 and to make payment arrangements but they refused and said they didn't make a mistake so payup or they were disconnecting us today! Can't find the old bills - can't find anything in this house at the moment so I am going to have to get copies and sort this out with the public utilities commision now. I was so scared we would wake up with no electric, I had to borrow the money from a friend as we don't get paid till Saturday. I am going to go relax now! Big hugs to everyone. Sarah |

I finally got under 200! Even at the end of the day the scale doesn't go to 200, so i'm pretty darn happy about that! :)

My sinuses hurt less. It has been 7 full days. I think i am on the tail end of this darn bug!! I am sooo happy it is friday. Loooong, busy week for me. All the big kids in school. Just 3 little monkeys here. We will go to the play group. Just 1 kid for the aft. We will drive into town and go for a walk and deliver Avon books. Still have laundry to do and minimal dishes. Cold and sunny, turning into moderate and sunny. Perfect weather!!!!!!! More coffee!@!! Have a glorious day! |
What a nutty week. DS has not gotten hurt or gone to the hospital in 5 whole days. Thank you, Jesus! His prom is tomorrow night. DS got his tux Wed night, he looks so handsome and grown up. Boo hoo that is my baby. Kids grow up so darn fast.
I have been fight a sore throat for about 3 days now, so glad it is Friday so I can just lounge around for a few days and take it easy. WI at WW at work today was down 1 lb. I will take it cause I have not been really trying very hard, altho I did get a few days of exercise in this week. See, start exercising and get sick, I am convinced exercising is hazardous to your health. LOL. DD is doing better with things. She did go sign up for IVTC State College. Better than not going to college at all. Her depression is much better too. Not much else going on, hope to stay focused ALL weekend. Supposed to rain mostly. Have a great weekend all. |

I was naughty for the past week and I deserve the +1.5 gain :( I got in 1 session of exercise when I was supposed to do at least 6, I was wayyy over points most of the days; Icecream, pizzas, burgers and chocolates like crazy. I dunno what happened, I was doing so great the previous week.
Anyway, I'm starting fresh this week, exercise, ops and all. I need to make it to my MD goal... Congrats to those who lost and hit goal!!! :hug:sss all around!!! |

I'm back on track! - I recently got "The Firm" videos in the mail and started to try them out. I like the Cardio one so far, did the jiggle free abs too, was okay. I don't have their "transfermer" but I use a regular stepboard.
I've been OP since saturday, I even had 6 points left yesterday :p Probably will do Tae-bo and jiggle free arms today.. :) So where is everyone?? :hug: |

It's been awhile since my last entry. Truth be told I was just tired of the journey for awhile. But I didn't just through caution to the wind. I just sort of got quiet about it for awhile.
I am back to 256 lb (after a scary week of being 258!). I'm walking routinely again and I've gone back to the weight room. I'm also packing my lunch and I'm reading labels and thinking about things before I eat them. Sort of back to the basics. I'm training my job replacement and looking forward to getting her trained so I can start in my new position (with my new salary!). It's May 1st, and I want to set some goals and desires for the month Desire # 1: To loose a pound a week: Goal to get there: Stay within point range, work out 4-5 days a week for 1 hour, doing both cardio and muscle building. Desire #2: To save $50 this month ( to get back into the saving habit). Goal to get there: Have a Budget meeting with hubby Tuesday night so that we are on the same page and then each paycheck this month put in $12.50 to savings. Desire # 3: Have daily relaxation time: Goal to get there: Put it on my daily calendar, start with 15 min. During this time I will lay in a quiet space and focus on relaxing my body and clearing my mind through breathing and prayer. Ok..there it is. I so want to be in control of the person that I want to be and in order to be that I need to see where I want to be. The person I want to be at the end of May is: A relaxed individual who is feeling confident with herself because she has stuck to a plan and has her weight loss goal on track as well as her money. |

Yesterday was a little iffy! I was so tired in the morning, that I really did not do anything, but I did go to the gym in the aft with DH, adn I think I have finally figured it out. I was using the treadmill for my cardio, but I don't think I was doing very well. Yesterday I stared on the treadmill, but my ankle was bothering me, so I decided to try the stationary bike. I got a better work out on there than I ever did on the treadmill. So I think I am going to try mixing the two so that I get a more effective cardio work out. I felt great yesterday when we left!!

Feeling a bit better today. Took Nyquil last night and still trying to wake up yet this morning. Just wanted to keep on sleeping on this rainy Tuesday morning.
Stayed OP yesterday and so far today. Not much exercise as I am trying to take it easy for a few days to give my body a rest. I think I am going to buy a cheap bicycle with a basket of some sort so Miss Belle (my doggie) and I can go for a ride. She can walk/run most of the way but her short little legs can't keep up. She just sits down and looks at me, like this is all I am doing, deal with it. LOL Not much else going on. Have a marvy day ladies. (((HUGS))) |

Ladies!! It souns like everyone is doing great!! I am definitly hanging in there (it is my catch phase :) ) I have been OP all week, so Now I just have to wait for the scale to show some improvement. It is very frustrating to stay the same all the time, no matter what I am doing. There are always some days when I think "why am I doing this? It doesn't matter what I am doing I am always going to be big.." BUt I know that I have been feeling better, and can't let my allergies talk me out of doing this. I am looking forward to going to the gym this afternoon, adn I can't wait to see how I do with the cycle. I am hoping that this is the change that will help me see a loss on the scale!!!

We had a round of a tummy virus here. starting with me on Saturday..........ew. mainlining coffee............................................ ...... A busy somewhat crusty departure of children. everyone seems tired. 3 little kids for the morning. I might be taking The gerbil in to DS’s class in the aft. The kitchen is messy. It is raining. It was not in the forcast and I fertilized yesterday. Not sure what will happen but the product recommends no rain..................... stretch...yawn..........snuffle I ordered the Hiphop cardio workout from Avon. It has 3 10 min segments. My goal is to do 1 10 min segmant a day. Small goal, keeping it simple. Hold me accountable PLEASE!! Allergies are rampant. HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I have something positive to report (it feels positive to me). I have found local TOPS member who is local, but not in my chapter that is going to hold me accountable to calling him or emailing him everyday with my food and exercise info for the day. He has committed to doing that for 6 weeks--I've heard that it takes 6 weeks to get into a habit. I know this guy well and he will keep after me. Don't get me wrong, you ladies are terrific in that area also, but he is local and he can get to me easily if I'm about to go off the deep end! I need this disipline right now. I also did a 2.5 mile walk last week. That's a 1/2 mile increase for me. Will stay with that for awhile (6 weeks) and then up to 3. After I get to there, I'm going to start adding biking. I'm one who has to have a lot of cardio or the weight doesn't move. Weight training (which I love) bulks me up fast,(I am happy that I build muscle so quickly) so I have to have the cardio wi How's everyone else doing? My lower back is really hurting today. I'm looking forward to going home at lunch time and doing some stretches for it as well as icing it down. I had this same trouble this time last year. I guess I hold together for a year, then break down. The Chiropractor gave me the stretches to do as well as exercises to help and I do them for awhile and then get out of the habit..and then I get back to this again. I hope I can turn it around easily without a lot of adjustments. I've got to get back to work. |

I am sorry I haven't been around much, we have so much stress going on with our business at the moment cos of the local Municipal office, they are truly a bunch of twats who have no idea what they are doing! We are dealing with a different Township since we moved and how I wish they were as efficient as the last one....oh well. I'm not letting the stress get to my eating which I am so pleased about, luckily I am not a comfort eater but stress can sometimes make me think what the **** and I will eat that naughty something. I lost another 1lb this week, slowly but surely I am getting there, but sometimes it seem soooooooooo slow. I know it's better this way... BIG NSV for dh this week, who would not believe me that he was losing weight too (scales don't go high enough to weigh him yet!) First he was told by an acquaintance that he had lost weight, and this was from someone who does not compliment EVER, AND he got into his jeans! That means he has lost at least 6 inches from his waist!!! Yay for Ralphie!!!! I was so pleased for him, in fact I was more excited than he was. He has a hard time with 'eating healthy' as he gets bored. Thankfully there are more low carb/low fat/no sugar options in the stores now and he can treat himself. He needs the treats more than I do and they keep him going. The NSV's spurred him on too as he is convinced....in his words..that he will be a sweaty fat f@#$ forever. Glad to see everyone is getting back on track and keeping those goals in mind. I've really missed being around and I shall do my best to be around more often. I know as long as I post once a week I am keeping myself accountable. Sharing a loss or confessing a gain or no loss is good for me. Makes me think! Love n hugs to all, keep doing what you're doing! Hello everyone - sorry that I've been MIA, but still with ya in spirit :)
Work has sucked...and my eating has not been good, but I've only gained one pound and I'm hanging in there. I'm really lacking in exercise, so I hope to get to the gym tonite and tomorrow. My 1st 10 weeks of Weight Watchers is up and my average is a pound a week. Slow, but that's the way it's supposed to be, eh? I signed up for the 17 week Spring Pass so I can go in whenever I want, or if I don't want, and all paid up through August. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make my memorial day goal - that means I'd have to lose 15 pounds in the next three weeks - it's not reasonable and healthy, but let's see if I can't lose at least five. Hope you all are well. It's getting warmer and the cold Starbucks drinks are calling my name! I need to try to keep it down to a non-fat iced latte or a lite Frappuccino! Memorial Day weekend we'll be spending in downtown Chicago and also Louisville, KY...I'm excited! Girlie |
Well, I had a gain at my TOPS meeting. I thought I would be up. At least I didn't gain back all I lost last week.
I feel that next Thursday's weighin will be good. I have my TOPS accountability partner. And I've got a side contest going on with a TOPS member too and it envolves money. I love money more than food, so this is good incentive for me! I gave our program last night at TOPS and it was on Serving Size and Portion Size. The difference is serving size is what is on your plate and portion size is what YOU choose to eat. It really got me back on track. Have a great day. It's Cinco de Mayo and I have a lot of celebrations today (all involve food) I'm going to keep the portion thing in mind. Susie |
Wow! I am gone for one day and everyone posts!!! I am glad to see everyone progressing so well. I did pretty good yesterday at the ball game, One hotdog, split an order of nachos and half a bratwurst. Ok, it sounds bad, but overall we did ok. We also wento out to dinner after the game (mainly to avaid traffic on our way home) I had a turkey buger, and only about 10 fries. I was pretty full, but I did not feel stuffed. We took the fries home , and the kiddies are going to have them with thier leftovers. Have to run and ge t the house clean, we are having a cinco de mayo party. Have a great day!!

I do the Billy Blanks Cardio one, its about 40 minutes long and you really feel the burn afterwards :D yay for the loss!!!! upswife: I think that a change in your exercise will probably improve your weight-loss. Try to shift things around a bit. I've lost track of when I was here Last. I read a few of the posts and it seems like everyone is rockin on...:carrot: I've been doing fair on my food at b-fast and lunch. I still goof some on my evening meal. I'm not a snacker so I'm doing ok in that area. I haven't made it to curves this week but I've been very active at work. The storms knocked out their electricty and phones for about 36 hrs. I helped clean up limbs and leaves. I push broomed about a acre of concrete. Then help put debris in bags. Of course the day and half we were down we really got behind. We really had to hustle to get ready for the sale...:crazy: I need to get up from here and get my bills ready to mail. :welcome3: to everyone new. We are really glad to have you. Everyone must be having a great w-end since no one is posting. I gave in and bought some new scales. I've been using the scale at curves but dh was wandering about his weight so I bought some digital ones that monitor the weight changes for 2 people. I just hope I don't get too compulsive about weighing. That's why I threw out the last set. I was weighing 2-3x daily. Then I would get discouraged and give up trying to loose. Now the most I've been weighing is once a week. I've done fair on food today, B-eggbeaters sliced tomatoes and dry wheat toast. L-sm steak, mashed potatoes and beans I plan to go to a ww meeting tues night and joining ???? I don't know anyone who goes to the meeting there so I just got to make up my mind and go. I've stopped loosing so I think I need more motivation. I refuse to give up...whatever it takes to keep the scale moving down....:goodscale: Later my friends :grouphug: |
