Crapola!!!
I worte a brilliant post about Life the Universe and Everything and lost it.

My main focus since Christmas has been to get my home, business and inmmune system in order. The weight has been on the back burner. All is well.

MAJOR purging in this house. It stays tidier when there isn't any crap for them to leave laying around!! LOL!!!!!!:carrot:
Most of the toys and treasures have been tossed. Much has been recycled.

We are getting rodents for Easter. A guinea pig for DD and a gerbil for DS. I would much rather have pets than junk!!!

Love you Gals!!!!

DewCan 03-22-2006 04:40 PM

Hmmm...rodents...sounds lovely when you put it thay way
I'm starting a major purge too, but it's hard with an almost 3 month old and an almost 3 year old to take care of. I find having a house full of stuff makes my mind full. A cluttered house leads to a cluttered mind.
have a great day all!!

Hollyhock 03-22-2006 05:08 PM

Dewcan~ AND a cluttered body. At least that is my theory. My kids are 5&7. They have refused to part with anything since they were your kids ages. I Got tough and out dozens of bags and boxes of stuff went. It is a relief.

Good morning all! Doing well here. Eating has been good and DH and I worked out for 1.5hrs yesterday. I am aiming to get to the gym again this afternoon.

Holly~great job decluttering!! I go through our stuff and get rid of it, then MIL give us her stuff. Right now I have three bags and some boxes in my garage that she gave us. most of it is stuff we don't need, so we are either going to bring it to goodwill, or ebay it.

Have a great day!!!

MyChoice2bfit 03-23-2006 08:54 AM

Good morning,
I hate when I miss a day being here! I look forward to all the posts and encourgment they give me.

Holly and Others that are discussing having things nice and tidy around them. I'm one who does much better at my weight loss plan when I'm dealing with clutter. When I get off track and I take a look around I'll see things pile up. So for me, if things pile up so do the pounds. I don't have kids but a hubby who is a pack rat. I've given him one area that he can squirl things away in and I insist that he go through it once a month or I will.

Debbie: I can see the new job is keeping you busy but you are being true to yourself. Big hugs to you! I know you can stay on plan. Get here as often as you can. We miss you when you aren't here!

DewCan: Memorial Day in the US is May 29th. For me that is the official start of summer. I'm glad you are in with me on losing a pound a week. What day do you weigh-in? Mine is on Thursday's at TOPS.

Ok..got to get busy at work ladies. See you tomorrow.

DewCan 03-23-2006 11:43 AM

Susie, I can do Thursdays too. It'll be easier that way. We have Victoria day which is a week before your Memorial Day. This year it's my sons b-day that day. Baby is sleeping in my arms :) :bb:

Girlie 03-23-2006 02:40 PM

Hello everyone. I'm doing okay. I don't know what my problem is, but I've been sorta pigging out each night. Well, not pigging, but the problem is, DH has been home every night this week - he has this week off - whereas before, he was working so late every night that dinner is on our own. So I'd be eating really healthy foods just for me. But now that he's around, I'm wanting to eat more "bad" things with him. That's got to stop!

I slept in today so I'm going to the gym in the evening again. Tonite will be nice because my college basketball team made it into the Sweet Sixteen!!! Go BU!!!! Anyway, they were to total underdog, and I'm going to the gym to watch the game and have a nice long, leisurely workout. So I'm not going to focus necessarily on a 50 minutes of fast workout, but maybe I can get an hour and a half in on the elliptical, going at a slower pace. I'll see. But even though I've been eating poorly, I've still been getting good workouts in, so I hope my burning of calories is helping.

I've got some posts to catch up on!!!

Charlie:
I hope you had a great birthday! And boy, I didn't know Long Islands have so many points! I don't know what's in them, but I bet I couldn't get through a half of one of those things without conking out!

Diana:
A 3 month old! I can hardly handle my cats :)

Susie:
I agree with you. My DH and I aren't the neatest, but at least things can LOOK organized and the rug vacuumed and dishes done...then I feel better about myself and I stay OP. When the dishes are stacked, I don't want to cook and then we eat out...but if I keep the kitchen tidy and stocked with good foods, it's so much easier.

Jasonslea:
WELCOME!!! And thanks for that drink list. I don't drink often, but occasionally if I go out with a girlfriend or something, it would be handy to know what to order.

Ellen, Sarah:
I hope that you are having a GREAT day.

Holly:
I'm dying to get to Ontario. One of my favorite singer/songwriters lives in Toronto and she doesn't travel this way very often! She's performing a house concert on April 1st in Barrie - a 13 hour drive for me!Yipes!

Yalondah:
Welcome!!! Good luck with your goal. It is quite a bit to lose in 2 weeks - many people do lose some initial water weight pretty quickly, so who knows. I have been losing 1.5-2lbs per week so far.

Talk to you all later!

Girlie

oh man i love long island teas, they are great,i usually drink at least 3 maybe 4 when ever i go out,i love Logan Roadhouse teas.they are soo good.it has vodka, coke, rum i think, and some other stuff i can't remember it right now. yes i had a pretty good time it guess.kinda boring, but oh well.

upswife 03-24-2006 09:09 AM

good morning ladies!!!! I love Long Island Iced tea too, so I thought I would look it up for you.

1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola®

Mix together over ice and garnish with lemon

I have a hard time getting through two of these, So charlie if you can get through 3 or 4 of them then you are more of a woman than I am. :D

Doing well here, just waiting for the weekend. DH and I are taking the kiddies swimming this afternoon after we work out. I can't wait, they had a blast last week. Well, have to run and get some housework done.

Hollyhock 03-24-2006 09:18 AM

Good Morning!!!!

Ds and friend launched. 8 kids here all day. 3 extras to help out another sitter in town. She is going to the DR.
So far so good. Eating a bowl of Fibre Crisp.

I MUST wash the dishes. There is not 1 clean pot in the cupboard

Um....need a plan for the day.............dishes first...........Um… dazzle kids..................
work on School Council flyer...........
Purging bad behaviour from the kids this week too..................
Our kids have been on zero tolerance for behaviour, silliness, talking back, not listening etc. Had a good family meeting with hubby and both kids. They have really been disrespectful to me on many levels and rude to others, cocky, smart answers.......
At the dentist yesterday DD was so obnoxious the dentist asked me to bring them separately next time so he could do his job. Hubby and I were very firm, both kids spent the entire evening in their rooms, with no toys, books or anything else. DS was a much subdued kid this morning. DD was rude to a parent and spent an half hour in her room already.

always exciting here. Gotta love each new stage as it comes along....not

Have a peaceful day!!!!!

charliekay 03-24-2006 09:39 AM

upswife- well thank you thank you,i take a bow :)
i don't drink often but when we go out i love to get these,my favorite drink ever,
we are going to florida this coming week so i bet i will have a lot of them :)

MyChoice2bfit 03-24-2006 10:33 AM

I could not believe it! When I got on those DANG scales last night I had gained! I can't tell you how upset I was. But I'm not going to let it deter me because I know that I've been doing what I should and it will show up.

I am going to review my food log, maybe something will show up there.

It's so sad to have to move my tracker back..but I'll just look as today as a new beginning. There's nothing else I can do.

I'm still setting my goal for 1 lb lost each week between now an Memorial Day.

charliekay 03-24-2006 10:37 AM

hang in there honey we all have those days,it will show up soon i promise.

Hollyhock 03-24-2006 10:57 AM

Oh Susie ME TOO!!!!!
I just stepped on the scale for the first time in a month. OUCH!!!!
It is too bad for me me to write out loud. But it is my starting point for the May 2-4 challenge Canadian version. 1 LB a week.

Yippee -dishes washed. 8 kids dazzled. 4 played outside and made mud pies. 2 played with My Little Ponies and bathed and groomed them, 2 puttered around. All have been snacked and watered. Listened to Kalan's CD thru twice. Sang at the top of my lungs.weeehee.

1 hour til lunchtime.

hmmmm may work on poster.

JasonsLea 03-24-2006 08:19 PM

Hollyhock: 8 kids?!?!?! OMG how do you do it?

JasonsLea 03-24-2006 08:20 PM

Hang in there sweetie! I'm afraid to weigh myself on Monday cause I think I may have gained.....TOM sucks!

JigglyBits 03-25-2006 01:20 AM

Girlie: I think it helps that you are working out while "pigging" out..lol. Just try to stay focused and elliminate the "bad" foods from your house :)
BTW, how could you stay on the elliptical for one and a half hours?? 25 minutes is the most I can do otherwise I get really dizzy! :faint:

Susie: hang in there  reviewing your food log is probably best. did you do any weight lifting/exercise lately? its probably a gain of muscle not fat. It could also be your TOM soon ;)

yalondah: Welcome, you're going to find plenty of support here!! I think I agree with Sarah, thats a lot of weight to loose in 2 weeks! you should probably try to change it to 3 weeks, I think it would be a more sensible goal, anyway good luck! :)

I stepped on the scales this morning and *da da dum* -1.5 lbs down!!
yay me!, I feel great! now I'm so inspired to get to my exercise goal this week! can't wait to get home and get on that treadmill :running:
Have a great day everyone :D

Debbie 03-25-2006 04:51 PM

Hey everyone,
One more time I've been just wandering. I get lost in life sometimes. As my best friend says. I been space trucking again...LOL.
I have been eating all the wrong foods again. I had eggbeaters and sliced tomato and dry ww toast for b-fast then I ate a jumbo hot dog mid-morn and had a large h-burger and fries for a late lunch.
WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!! :o
I only made it to curves 2x last week. I did get up and do my watp 3x. I hope I get my act together soon before I get too far out of control.

HELP :dust:

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS LOST..WAY TO GO!!! :bravo:

MyChoice2bfit 03-25-2006 08:08 PM

Hello,
I had a very nice Saturday. Got up and did a lot of house cleaning. DH went to the movies with a friend. I used the time alone to play home spa and did a pedicure, then showered and went to tan and to the grocery store. Now I'm home for the evening. DH is watching basketball and I'm going to curl up with my book. I'm relaxing because it's going to be a busy week. I have 2 groups coming in this week that I will entertain in the evenings and I will be away from home 3 nights.

I reviewed my food journal and found a lot of rootbeers. I now know why it's good to keep that log. I won't be in town for my weighin this week but I'm going to act like I am so that the next week I won't have to work twice as hard. Also being in control will make me feel more confident with the group. I don't want to be the fat girl so I know that it's now time to get this excess weight off. I took a Marketing Position and I'm going to be out in the limelight so to speak; I don't want to be there fat!

Holly: Glad you joined the Weekly pound away challenge. How are you doing?

Debbie: Come on..you said it, a slip up isn't a reason to give up! I know you can get back in control. You will.. I KNOW you will.

Sarah: Toss that tshirt...you don't need to slob anywhere...you want to look in the mirror and smile at your thinner tonned self!

UPS: How did you do with the cake goal?

Jiggly: I did do some weight training last week and I usually do show a gain unitl it levels off in about 4 weeks. I'll try to keep that in mind. I don't have a TOM anymore. I had a hystercomey 2 years ago when I was 38. I don't miss it a bit! I still have my ovaries so I still have some PMS sometimes.

CharlieKay: Thanks for the support and understanding.

Ok...time to relax.

Susie

HippyHippo 03-25-2006 08:15 PM

Can I use it as a nightshirt miss? lmao It's almost brand new! It will cover me bits I promise!

upswife 03-25-2006 09:47 PM

I had two pieces of cake, but I cut them small for the kiddies, so two pieces =one serving. I am taking it as one piece. SO I guess I made it!! Well, off to bed, have to get up early for church tomorrow. ((Hugs))

Lea:
Holly
upswife: Congrats on the loss! and yay for 1 peice of cake! :D
Sarah: don't you just love that feeling?? :carrot:
Debbie: :nono:
Susie: sorry to hear about the hystercomey. good luck with the new position ;)

I got the new WWTP 5 in the mail and tried it out yesterday, Its about 65 minutes without the stretching. I liked it except for the fact that there is no transition between each mile. My heart rate is really elevated at the end of the brisk walk in the previous mile and when she starts the new mile she starts at a slower pace so it drops really fast.. :?:
A question to all you wonderfull ladies, Where do you get your inspiration from?? Reading? before and after pics? Clothes???
I need to find a way to inspire myself to keep going. I usually look at personal weight loss blogs or read weight loss mags.. So what do you do? :)

I love before and after stories and pics. Like in Weight Watchers and Looking Good Now magazines. I love success stories especially if the person has a story like me!:carrot:

I was up, coffee drank and showered by 7am!! Then the kids got up and I did all their stuff.
5 kids launched to school. 3 kids here, 1 coming at 11:30. Storytime this morning.
BEAUTIFUL day yesterday. A peaceful relaxed morning. Church was nice. A not so nice meeting afterwards but i have washed my hands of it. DH went to friends and the kids and I went to the city. We went rodent browsing and to a friends, Grandma's and another friends for supper. Home at 8:30,kids straight to bed. All is well.
The whole upstairs is very streamlined and decluttered and spring cleaned.
Manifloor is tidy and only needs to be vacuumed.
6 boxes of Avon to unpack and deliver. Many brochures to deliver. Must make millions!!!!

HUGS and Love.

Debbie 03-27-2006 01:23 PM

Good afternoon,
I am having a great day. I got up early cooked dinner. I did my watp for only 1/2 a mile. I dusted my living room. Wow! It seems so little compared to what you accomplish, Holly.

B-oatmeal
S-orange
L- Lean gourmet meal, salad ,and sf jello

I have plans to go to curves the pm.

:grouphug:

Hollyhock 03-27-2006 02:03 PM

Yay Deb!!

it only SEEMS like I accomplish a lot. I have hubby and my 2 plus 7 other kids going around behind me trashin' the joint! LOL!!!

Debbie 03-27-2006 08:10 PM

Hi,
I feel so much better. I still have 5.5 pts left for the day. I'll have a snack to use up those pts. It's been a while since I had any left.
I made it to curves. :carrot:

lilybutt 03-28-2006 08:24 AM

Oh goodness chicks...had a full blown hard drive crash...finally back up and running! You forget how much you really on these darn puters!!!

Anyway...look at me!!! I am down some LBs!!! Not sure what started it, but I am not one to question why good things happen!!

Anyway.....been doing the eat light except for one regular meal a day, for example, yesterday I was in the car most the day so I had:

Sugar free International coffee, Kashi bar, 100 cal pack of chex mix, baby carrots, and (OOPS!) a hot dog on a bun....then for dinner had a nice sized chicken breast and broccoli.....not too bad actually.....those car days are tough...:)

Another car day today, but I will pack snacks again and try to stick to it...I have leftover chicken too!

I haven't been the best at the exercise, but try!

Sounds like everyone else is being kind them to themselves....we heed to be!

Oh and my motivation.....Spring!!!

Lilybutt

Hollyhock 03-28-2006 09:06 AM

Hi Lilybutt!

9C/48F today!!!

My nose runneth over. Spring has sprung.

I really dont feel like I slept. Much on my mind from the leadership meeting last night.I want to make presidents club in a big way. That means really putting a push on for 6 weeks.
DD came in at 4am to tell us all about the bad dream she had. Then DS crawled in at 6 and was restless.
Today I need motivation.
6 kids here all day, DS in school.

1) vacuum 2 rooms
2) do dishes
3) bag orders
4)stamp books and flyers
5)take books to S get eggs from egglady
6) DD has gym at 6
7) gather garbage after kids go to bed
8) watch Idol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....DS now launched, 5 kids eating toast and honey.
Took and antihistamine and now having coffee #2.
My head is fuzzy!!!
I will pack playschool orders and then go deliver them and take the kids to the park.
That way they wont mess up the house!!! Clever lass.

HUGS!!!

Debbie 03-28-2006 09:51 AM

Good morning,
I didn't get a chance to do watp this am, but I did get my dinner cooked.
This is short because I'm at work.

Holly: :coffee: Mornin....

annie175 03-28-2006 11:57 AM

Hello Everyone....

Time sure does get away from me. Sounds as if most are doing good, or trying too. I suck, but good news WW at work starts this Friday, I am currently brainwashing myself into completely rocking with the program.

DD quit college this week, quite to my distress, but it is her decision, and am sure one she will regret later.

She and I went to get a tatoo last Friday night. I got a butterfly with pixie dust trailing on top of my foot. It is so cute. DD got tinkerbell above her wrist. Very cute.

DS is camping for this week of spring break. He left last Friday afternoon, he calls me every day tho to check in. He will be home tomorrow.

Getting a facial this weekend and cannot wait. It feel so good to have a smooth face.

Have a great Tuesday afternoon, ladies.

(((HUGS)))

Annie

Debbie 03-28-2006 12:24 PM

Annie:  glad to hear from you. My ww at work fell thru. I really hate that. I've been doing it on-line, but I know its not the same.
The tatoo sounds cute. I think about getting a new one. I just can't find one I like.

MyChoice2bfit 03-28-2006 01:05 PM

Hello,
This will be a quick post. I'm feeling in a good place. I'm working to keep myself there the rest of the week. I have two groups that at coming in from CA and I'm going to the hockey game (my first one ever Holly!) with them tonight and then to dinner and drinks with the second group on Thursday. Must keep in mind to stay in line with the food and such.

Workouts are not happening this week. I know I could make some time to do something but I think a week off might be good too.

Debbie: I think you are back on track!
Annie:I have 2 tattos... I love them! I'm excited to hear how the WW at work does for you. Enjoy the facial; I love them too!

Sorry for the limited personals but I better get back to work. Just wanted to sneak in.
