I've been OP 2 days....:carrot: I'm starved like I always am the first few days. I just need to stay busy and I'll be ok. I need to take some snacks to work because the vending machines are just a few paces away. Don't laugh but I left all my dollar bills and change in the car... our machines don't take 5's. One of our dealers gave me a diet coke so that was ok. I drank 4 bottles of water. I put the lipton green tea in 2 of them. I really like it and always carry it in my purse. I didn't make it to curves but I WILL!!! go tomorrow. I just cancelled my ww on-line. Now that 3fc has the point counts on so many foods I can't see I need it. I never liked how the boards worked, and I can't afford to go to meeting and do on-line. I know I do better in a group setting. I have plans of posting daily. B-yogurt/flaxseed meal L- LC pizza, salad with low fat dressing D- WW chicken enchilada (yuck), leftover roasted potato. Girlie: I have big feet so my shoes are heavy...LOL Have a wonderful evening. |
WOO....HOOO day 3 of the new me and I had 2 pts left. I could have made better choices but I at least stayed within my pt range. I made it to curves like I planned. :carrot:

I was really busy last week and didn't get to the board as often as I would have liked. I just finished reading the posts. It looks like we are all busy.
Let's not be to busy to take care of us and continue to work on our weight loss. We want to be able to buy new SMALLER fall clothes. I wanted to buy smaller summer clothes and it got here before i knew it so I'm keeping in mind how fast times flies. I'm happy to report another 1.20 loss on the scales Thursday night at TOPS. That's 3 weeks in a row. I want that to happen each week and you know what I'm the one who has to work for it. I wish it was someone else doing it for me sometimes. Yep, this gets hard at times. But it feels wonderful when those scales go down. I've been a little lax over the weekend. It's hot, ice cream tastes good on a hot day and I love icecream! I used to not keep it in the house and that worked but anymore I just go buy it if I want it. I know I don't eat as much as I would if it was at home, but I don't have a problem buying it EVERY day, so I have to watch out for that. I have been ok today with it though. I know that Thursday is coming and i want a loss on that scale! Debbie: It's great to see you back. I was smiling when I was reading about the vending machines and how you handle it. I do the same thing. I just don't keep change or ones on me. It's good to see you back here. It's good to see the rest of you too. Your daily posts keep me inspired. I just heard the dryer go off. SUsie~I too have been on an ice cream fix lately, but I have been doing well, and keeping within my calories. A little treat can be good on occasion, but remember that it is a treat. Great job on the loss!!!
I am down a pound this morning, and I am so gald to see it happening. With the tyroid issues, I stalll out for months at a time, but I seem to be on the move again, so I will have to work twice as hard to keep it going. I have to go intervene with the kiddies. LaterChicas |

I had a great w-end and I'm feeling up today. :dancer: I stocked up on snacks. I bought some quakes (thin mini rice cakes) but this time I only put the 9 in a serving and brought those is a baggie. I also cut up some celery and brought some baby carrots. I'm trying them with the ff bacon ranch. I kinda like it. It's better than the regular ff ranch. I did a little waking yesterday. only about 1/2 mile. I have plans to go the curves this evening. LATER, Work calls |

I had a great last few days. I not only talked my manager into letting me come in at 9:00 which is great because I can get back to going to curves in the am. I rarey go now. Too hot and too tired in the evenings. I had a great wi at ww I'm down... drumroll please.....5lbs. It might be some water but not much. being outside so much I stay dehydrated most of the summer. I really feel like I'm back on track :dancer: I hope everone's well. I'll change my tracker later It's late and I still have a lot to do |
Hello ladies
I have good news and bad news. Bad news is one of my darling cats passed away last night at the vets. He had a blockage in his urinary tract which was surgically unblocked a couple of weeks ago. He was starting to pick up but was still very lethargic and I was literally spoon feeding him to get him to eat but yesterday he took a turn for the worse and I rushed him to the vet where he was put on fluids as his kidneys were failing - result of the blockage apparently. He suffered total renal failure and died in the night. I had had him since the day he was born, I have his grandmother, mother, brother, uncles and son too. His brother has been very subdued today like he knows :( We are going away tomorrow for a week to stay with friends in North Jersey - the friends who inspired us to start eating healthy in February, boy are they going to see a difference in the 2 of us! I am 38lbs down and DH is about 60lbs down since they last saw us! Can't wait to strut (yeah like I will strut lol!) around the lake in my size 14 bathing suit. Was there in a 26 this time last year! I bought some halter tops last night and I think I looked pretty darn good! Even if I say so myself (dh was rather appreciative too!) I am down 2.2lbs this week after no loss last week - but it was TOM so didn't expect any really. Hopefully all the swimming I am planning to do will help me stay even or maybe lose a lb whilst we are away - we will still be eating healthy which is a good thing. Well done on all the losses girls - we're all on track for a sexy slimmin' summer! I will be checking the boards while I am away, you can't get rid of me that easily! Good morning ladies!! Still here, and hanging in there. Exercise has been good this week, but we need to go food shopping, so food has not been the best. I am coming up on TOM though, so that may explain the stall out.

I thought I stop by and see how everyone is doing. I had a rough day yesterday. My co-worker had a b-day and we had a cake for her. They sat the cake on the counter about 7 ft from me. I ended up eating 3 pieces all about 2" squares. :nono: I have been op today. I had my usual b-fast and my ww meal for lunch and dinner with a salad. I doubt it made up for the cake...LOL. I did make it to curves 2x this week and plan to go in the am. I only have to work 1/2 a day monday. I'm really glad. I'm really tired. We haven't made any plans for the 4th. I vote just stay home and watch movies. My neighbor smoked a brisket for us the other day. We stuck it in the freezer so all I have to do is fix some side dishes to go with it. Good morning ladies!! Was OP yesterday, but we did not make it to the gym:( DH and I had to get new cell phones, and it ended up being an all day event. I hate having to get new cell phones, the process takes about as long as getting a new car!!!
I also only slept for 2hrs last night. This was my first bout with insomnia, and I hope it ends tonight. I don't think I have ever felt like I had to fight to get some sleep. Everytime I turned over Was torture. But I don't feel exhausted, like I thought I would, but we will see how I feel at work today. I have to get off here the laundry is calling me... Ellen: When I first started thru menopause I was still on the truck and was only getting 5 hrs sleep at a time. Then I started having insomnia I felt horrible all the time I was only sleeping a couple of hours at a time. I still have a problem from time to time but I have a small fan beside my bed. It really helps. I don't feel hot so it may be the noise or just the breeze. I really need a new phone. I had picked some green beans and was draining them after I blanched them and dropped my phone in the sink. Now my #9 key doesn't work at all. I'm just putting it off. :dust: HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND |
I had another loss this past week at TOPS. I was down 1.40. I'm feeling so much better; like I have more energy. I guess I would since I'm carrying around 10 less pounds.
DH and I are on vacation this week. We aren't going anywhere; just staying close to home. We are staying home because in Sept. we have our cruise. I'm going to do a little shopping and see if I can find some good sales on tank tops and things like that. I'm trying really hard to stay on plan and not snack when I'm home this week and to keep my meals balanced as I have been doing. I have trouble when I'm on "vacation" because to me that means ice cream often! I did by some Skinny Cows so if I felt like I had to have it, then I had an option. Debbie: It's so good to have you back on the boards. You are hanging in there and I'm so proud of you. UPS: Great job for staying on plan. We had to get DH a new phone last week, it worked 3 days, we are going to get him another one tomorrow. You are correct...it's a process! Sarah: I'm so sorry about your kitty. They really become members of our family and it hurts to loose them. Great job on the loss and during TOM. Life interfered and I lost my focus. I worked loooong hard days all last week and was unaware of what went in the hatch. Didn't seem like a lot but the weight is the same. Been having icecream here too. I have been using the little toddler bowls to keept ehy amount down.
July 1 is Canada Day here , so a holiday weekend. Most people take the Fri off too to make it 4 days.I have finally caught up on some sleep. Hubby has almost finished the bathroom. My allergies are worse than I ever remember. I slept in til 8 this morning, grins.Feeling rested, hurray, no headache, irritable but meds should fix that. Had coffee out on my swing and now having natural PB on a mulit grain bagel. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm My boy with peanut allergies is off for 3 weeks. We will be indulging. It is a hazy, humid 22C/74F but going up to 29C/88F, ew. I was trying to decide whether to do housework or gardening first. Gardening it is!!! The exercise will feel good. I want to transplant some grasses. |

It's so nice to be off work and have time to catch up on things I want to do. I have a few things I don't want to do; I should do them; I might do them. One thing that I did do today was to get out of bed and go for my walk. I knew if I didn't that I wouldn't get it in later; we are going away for the fireworks tonight (if it's not raining), so I went and did the walk. I'm also being strict with myself and food today; I've been indulging a little the past few days. I've planned things I want to eat and I will have them when it's time. I've been eating things no matter if it was time to eat or not. That's stopped! Holly: I hope you are enjoying your holiday. I was down 1.5 at my wi tonight. I really didn't expect it, I'll take it...:carrot: We had a restful 4th stayed at home and watched movies. I kept the meal simple. A neighbor smoked a brisket for us a few days ago. All I had to do was thaw and heat it, made a potato salad, and canned baked beans. dessert was a canteloupe. You don't get simpler than that unless you eat out. I have to get up I still need to vaccuum and finish 2 more loads of laundry. Have a great evening Later :grouphug: |

Good Morning Everyone!
Sorry it has been a while since last posting. We are no allowed to access from work anymore, so it kind of limits my posting time. Too tired when I get home from work to even log on the net. Pathetic. Turning over a new leaf.....AGAIN....Going back to WW tomorrow night. I am right back where I started. I must be more focused. Why is this weight issue so hard to overcome? How can any one thing can so much control over a person. FOOD. My day is great, OP all day long, then wham, when I get home, it is a free for all. I guess I need to log on here every evening to help me stay focused. Too much whining. Time to act. I know all the right things to do, so why is it so hard? This month's trip to the ER was my daughter. She had two large red/purple lumps that were very painful. Staff infection, talk about scarey. They put her on an IV, right in ER, of antibotics, saline, and then a shot of nausea meds to calm her tummy. She is still recovering, but home and doing well. Does it ever end? Supposed to be rainy here today, I think I may go see Pirates of the Carribean or The Devil Wears Prada today. I love going to the movies. It is one of my favorite things. I know what you are saying. I can lose for a while then no matter what I slip back into my old habits. I let my guard down and I'm back to eating pizza and burgers again. I pray that someday I'll break the old habits. You read that it only take 7 times to make or break a habit....BS. I've been gone for a couple of months and gained back several pounds. I finally dropped ww on-line and started going to meetings. I like it. I've not been making great choices today but I've stayed within my point range. Emma: :bravo: WAY TO GO |

Well our week away was a washout - literally! So much rain in PA, NJ & NY State that there was lots of flooding and some towns were evactuated, the rivers were so swollen. Thunderstorms at least once a day but we did get a nice rest I guess! Only got to the lake once and the grass surrounding it was under water so that was like walking thru a paddy field. The water was freezing so didn't quite swim it was more like a few dunks and OMG let me out of this cold! I didn't really get a reaction to my weight loss which I kinda expected but was hoping maybe for some excitement, specially as they had inspired us...oh well. I broke my toe last Saturday night. We went to a club in North Jersey to see a band in which an old friend of Ralph's plays, that he had played in a band with years ago. I don't know if my shoe broke first or I broke it in the fall, but I tripped down a small step and landed on my knees, just grazing them, limped back inside and looked down and blood was gushing from my toenail which was split down the middle! Didn't think anything of it till the next morning when my toe was black, blue and a million other colours of the rainbow. Not much they can do for a broken toe except strap it which I removed as soon as I got back as I didn't want a bent toe and it's fine now - just really really itchy where it's all calming down and toe nail is about to fall off I think! What a week! I put on 2 ounces while I was away, have lost it again now and a few more ounces but not enough to change my ticker! We had a few nice meals out, caught a great but washed out flea market, sat around (which made me realise how much I really do move about at home!). Welcome back all those absentees! I made it to curves the morning then worked out in the heat today so I'm drained. I'm way low on pts. I've only used 13 but it's still early.
I've ate kinda crazy today B- yogurt, applesauce L- ww smart one meal D-cleaned out the leftovers. pinto beans, green beans w/new potatoes, a sliced tomato. I told you it was crazy, but I'm too tired to cook and I need to clean out the fridge. I'm going to go to WW tomorrow night instead of weds since Dh off this week on weds. Wish me luck on the scale :crossed: Holly: Glad you had a good time camping. I love camping when it cool but if it gets above 90f in the daytime I don't enjoy it. Good morning ladies!! I made it to the gym last night!!! Worked out for an hour and 15 mins!! I wanted to keep going, but DH stayed home with the sick one, and he had to get in bed because he went back to work. Not much else going on, kinda rainy and grey here, so just trying to keep up with the kiddies after being up with DD last night, but she does seem to be getting better, the fever is down, and she is playing. Well, have to get moving, even if I do just want to stay in bed. Later chicas!!

:( I had a 1.6 lb gain...I am very disappointed. I didn't even use my weekly points And I made it to curves 3x last week. I did go to curves this am and then worked in 95f temp most of the day. I was hungry so I stopped and ate subway on the way to my meeting. I did't eat 1.6 lbs of food . I drank 6 16 oz bottles of water today. ??? Oh well... I'll just have to do better next week. :kickbutt: I'm not going to change my tracker because I don't intend on going back again next week. You saw in my last post how crazy work really was, I didn't even have my 'W" on work...lol. I guess I have re-couped some. I'm doing my second load of laundry and then I going to read the rest of the evening. Ds and dgs have the tv tied up playing video games. They don't have much in common except the video games. They really like to play on the 60". I've done much better on food today. I made it to curves this am... 3x this week :carrot: B yogurt and applesauce. L- Grilled chicken breat topped w/cheese refried beans, rice and a few chips and salsa. I ate less than 1/2 of everything except chicken. D- 1/2c goulash :dust: Everyone have a great w-end...Later |

I sort of got lost in the vacation week and then the back to work week, but I'm back and glad to be here. I haven't been to my TOPS meeting for two weeks. I go back this Thursday and I'm striving to stay focused so that I will show a loss. Staying focused for me is to get to my workouts, to not eat sweets and to have my "down" time so I don't feel overwhelmed. I'll be around all week. Susie |
Hello My Friends....
First WI at WW am down 1.4. Should be more, as I only did program for half of the week. This week, I am going for an entire week of program. Weekends are hard, and I felt lonely and sad all weekend, therefore eating. I didn't even have the gumption to get on line and post. I am feeling a bit better today and went to WW and stayed for the entire meeting. It was actually pretty good. No reason to be blue except the weight issue. I don't feel like I can be in a relationship with this weight on. Pathetic. Enough whining. Next week is my momma's 77th birthday. She is still hanging in there, but has many medical issues. It is sad to see you parent's health failing and knowing not much time is left. Anyway, I think I will just end this post, as I am making myself depressed. Sorry for the blahs. Just checking in. I'm hanging in there. I've lost a couple more pounds, it's coming off very slowly, but I'm hanging in there. Riding my bike, eating more protein than breads and trying not to overeat. This hot weather kills me - summer is when I become so sedentary and sit around inside and gain all the weight I lose in the winter...so I'm just trying to stay on track. Debbie: seems like WW is going well for you? I still go every Saturday morning, though I'm not journaling like I should be! It still really helps me stay on track during the week. Hope you all are staying COOL!!!! |

I was down 3.8 lbs at my wi. I find it real hard to be too excited because I was outside most of the day at work in 107f temps. I believe I probably only lost .8 fat the rest was sweat. I didn't go the curves yesterday. I knew I would be outside. I just couldn't do it, but I did go today. I stayed within my pts the last 2 days. Girlie: Good to hear from you. sounds like your doing great. I also hate summer. If I had half a chance. I'd move any place cooler. My home town highs average in the 80's. The 90's for them are the exception instead of the rule... and it rains there. Annie: :bravo: Great loss. I also have trouble staying Op when dh works on the w-ends.
