Hey everyone,
I had a good day, stayed op. I didn't make it to curves but did lots of walking at work. I'd like to have something exciting to tell everyone, but my life is boring...SAME OLD SAME. :blah:

Betty: :welcome2: Try increasing your water. It'll pull all that water out. You'll be in onderland before you know it.

Emma: :cp: Way to go.

Later

okie74 12-15-2005 02:21 PM

YAY ME....I'm a half pound into onderland.......LOL...199.5.....does that count....:D

JigglyBits 12-15-2005 02:54 PM

Hello Ladies,
:cheer: wo0t okie!! Good for you!! :cheer:

Debbie you are a god for staying op! :flow1:

I pigged out today and the day before so bad that I'm almost through with my flex points!. I actually ate anything that popped into my head or crossed my path.. Its almost that time of month and its really getting bad. I never really craved food that much near my periods, exept dark chocolate of course.
I really need to get a grip and try to at least stay op for the rest of the week :stress:

Hollyhock 12-15-2005 03:20 PM

Not much to say....shocking I know. HUGS!!

Debbie 12-15-2005 09:06 PM

Okie: WOOO HOOO  I am so proud for you..

Jigglybits: I have days like that. When I can't get enough to eat.

Holly: I'm at a loss of words over your silence..LOL

For some reason WWon-line won't let me sign on. I sent them a message to see what the problem is. It shows I'm a subscriber but won't let me into my stuff. ???
I'm heading to the shower and early to bed. Everyone have a great evening.

Hollyhock 12-16-2005 09:27 AM

Missed the storm. It went all around us. London Ont got tons too I stayed home last night. Roads are bare today.
DS is on the bus.Need to hit the shower. Taking 5 kids to the early years program. I need a change of scenery. Very nice day yesterday. Got a lot of baking done and hubby worked some on the bathroom.
We are thankfully very un-busy for the holidays. Much saying “no” has gone on! Relativley painless. Hockey tonight. I dont think I will go. Gym is done for 2 months.
I have 5 kids off for most of the 2 week school break and then 2 others just part time. Lots of family time. Our kids are in school til the 23rd.
Well, best go scrub the gunge off.
Have a peachy day.

Debbie 12-16-2005 09:53 PM

Hey everyone,
What a pain in the rear. For some reason I couldn't get on here or ww. I had to go to the hassle of changing both passwords to get on. Quess what. I just put the same password I've been using all along back in. I don't know why???
I had the problem at work and here. Dh wants to blame aol but we don't have aol at work. Oh well...I"M HERE
I didn't do so well on food. I bought fried chicken for the boys. Oh yes! I did! I ate 2 pieces, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I was over my daily points by 9... OOOPS!!

Holley: I know how disappointed you are to not get snow...LOL

Hope everyone is well, :grouphug:

JigglyBits 12-17-2005 06:50 AM

Debbie: :yikes: FRIED chicken?? :nono: Its okay, try to make up for it the rest of the week

I'm doing okay, OP exercise n all. I'm a little uninspired on the exercise part, I had to drag my @ss to the gym yesterday. I just wanna make it through this week with avoiding all the cravings due to "french lady" knocking the door soon :)

Hollyhock 12-17-2005 11:49 AM

Debbie~ comfort food IS comforting. Hope you enjoyed each bite and then you can eat clean today! HUGS!!
Jiggly~ woohoo, WTG!!!

Perky morning. This could be wishful thinking at the moment.
Good day yesterday.Great actually. I took 5 kids to Early Years. Another caregivier with 5 kids was there. She and I were dressed exactly the same right down to our socks. Too funny. The caregiver uniform: denim coloured socks, faded blue jeans, faded blue sweatshirt.
I ended up dropping two of my kids at her place for a play date. Brought 3 home for lunch, 2 went home at 1 and then I took off with a little one and finished my Christmas shopping.I spent a $100 on pj’s, socks and undies for my three sweeties.Today I go to the rink to pick up custom embroidered hockey hats for DS and DH.
I laid down at 9 last night to read and then slept til 8:42 this AM, now my back is achey from laying down for so long.
Hockey game tonight at 6pm. Cookie baking this aft. Did some 15 min Flylady cleaning, vacuuming today too.
Very mundane although cheery.
HUGS!

MyChoice2bfit 12-17-2005 03:54 PM

Hello All,
What a week! I worked almost 10 hours every day. I keep thinking to myself that sometime the work will slow down..right? It's just got to!

I had a big gain at the scales this week. I was up 3 lbs! We didn't have a meeting the week before due to a snow storm. I know that I really need the weekly accountability or I gain very easily. My goal is to get those 3 lbs of by the last weighin of the year which will be on December 29.

We are staying home this weekend and just taking it easy. I'm grateful because the next two weeks and weekends will be busy. I love the holidays but I'm always grateful to get back to a routine.

Debbie: Fried chicken..well...at least it was protein. My comfort food has been white chocolate reese cups. I found out I can tolerate white chocolate with my IC. I know it was better for me when I didn't know this because I wouldn't touch anything chocolate but white chocolate is not acidic so it doesn't bother my IC..but you know what? I bothers my waist line!

Holly: Enoy the hockey game tonight.

Susie

upswife 12-17-2005 04:11 PM

MMMNnnn Fried chicken, yum!

I am doing well today. I drove all the way to work (1hr) to find out that the dr got called to a birth. So, since I did not drive that far to turn around, I did some filing and other odds and ends, but I will feel the pain of a 3hr work day come payday :(

Food was not bad today
b-water
l-grilled chicken sandwich and cup of soup

I am going to make chicken and vegstables for dinner (maybe sum stuffing or potatoes for the kiddies and DH)

Happy Saturday ALL!

Debbie 12-17-2005 06:24 PM

Good afternoon everyone,
I've done some better on food today. I made it to curves today. I found out they are shortening the hours they are open for the rest of the year so it may have been my last time till after the first. I work a full week next week and they are closed fri and sat. then I work tues-fri the next week and they are closed again on sat. I'll just have to get out the old watp dvd's.

Holly: Your gift list sounds like mine. we always throw in socks and underwear.
New flannel shirts is one gift they know they get every year. I forgot to buy them once a few years ago and after everything was opened my youngest asked "ok, where's my flannel?". I've not forgotten since.

Susie: Good the hear from you. Seem like every position you get they try to work you to death.
That 3lbs is just visiting for the holidays. Like any unwanted guest, you'll be ready to throw them out after the new year.
JUST PREPARE TO GIVE THEM A GOOD KICK...:carrot:

:grouphug:

JigglyBits 12-18-2005 12:31 PM

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

nothing to say today, just cheering you ladies and myself on!! :D

Debbie 12-18-2005 01:01 PM

Good morning everyone,
I got out and went to walmart early this am for a few things. I'm not sure how 20 items made it to $200. Now I'm just waiting hoping dgs get's tired for cartoons...LOL. I told him we would play LIFE when he's ready. He is plugged into something constantly. If we are in the car he has his gameboy. He tries to take it into resturants but I make him leave it in the car...MEAN MAM-MAW.
I had a good b-fast. Eggbeaters, sliced tomatoes and dry ww toast. Hope the rest of the day goes as well.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday...LOVE YOU GUYS.

Debbie 12-18-2005 01:25 PM

I've told everyone how I do WW on-line. They also have a message board. OMG...some of those people are just plain old rude. Not to mention crude.
You can make a simple comment and they will twist it all around. No support there, just critics.

MyChoice2bfit 12-18-2005 08:23 PM

Hello,
I had such high hopes this morning that I would eat well. I can say it was better than yesterday but not at all what I should be doing. I just don't feel like I have the energy to fix what I should.

Now, if I really think about it, I don't have the energy because I'm not giving myself the right nutrients to draw energy from.

Any ideas on how to break this cycle?

Debbie: I loved how you described the 3 lbs as unwelcomed guests! It really gives me a visual of them (you are very clever with words) and I've decided that if I feed them they will stay for sure, so I need to stop feeding them.
What is this about the WW board? I think I'm understanding that you do WW on line instead of going to meeting and the people on their board are being rude to you? If that's the case I would report them and then I wouldn't visit that board anymore. I LOVE you being here on our board..what the heck is wrong with those people?

Susie

upswife 12-18-2005 09:18 PM

Debbie~I agree with Susie, Don't let them get to you. If they are being rude, they are not trying to lose weight for the right reasons, they are just trying to be better than somebody else. 's for you!

Well, I need support today, I really fell off the wagon :yikes: Lets see: it all started yesterday, I did not do too badly with food, but I had three cups of coffee (I have been trying to cut back due to undrelying health issues) Then today things started ok, but when we got home from Church DH got honey buns from the store. I figured it would be ok since I have been really good all week. "one treat won't hurt" I was thinking it would be about 300-400 calories. DH looked at the box for me and I almost had a heart attack!!! 530cal each  I though he was joking. Then if that was not bad enough we made Italian sausage sandwiches for dinner. I ate 2 of them. They tasted so good. The only good thing I did today was not having any potato chips with dinner.

We don't usually eat such unhealthy dinners, but this week has been rough and neither of us wanted to cook. Tommorow is another day! :carrot: and I still have time to drink more water before bed to help offset all this bad food. That WILL help :D

Later Ladies!

Hollyhock 12-18-2005 10:22 PM

I am insanely conent!!

Love you chickies!!

JigglyBits 12-19-2005 07:27 AM

Hello Ladies!!

Debbie: I've been to that forum and they really are rude!!

Susie: That usually happens when you relay on refined carbs and processed foods, you get a burst of energy that burns out really fast. I'd suggest that you try to subsitute white bread for wholemeal, white rice to brown rice.. the low GI stuff :)

Ellen: tomorrow IS another day! Are you keeping a foud journal? it would really help :)

Holly: keep it up :cheer:

I'm doing okay, with this new job I hardly have the time to exercise but I squeeze it in whenever I can! Going to see my best friend today at a resturant, been saving points for that, can't wait! :D

Hollyhock 12-19-2005 09:03 AM

The day is dawning brightly!
Kiddies off to school. Kitten on my shoulder purring. Lovely weekend!!

I had a moment of “oh my gawd” this morning because I have a lot of niggles I want to do. Writing it all out and I will make a list of must do’s.

upswife 12-19-2005 09:26 AM

Wow Holly! You just made me feel very lazy. All I had planned to do today was Run to the mall for one gift and pick up some wrapping paper. I haven't even gotten to exercise yet today (stayed up too late yesterday)

Anyway good for you I am rooting for you to get all your errands done. :cheer: Maybe I will get my lazy but up and get moving this morning

VAthens 12-19-2005 12:25 PM

I'm new

Hi. My name is Victoria and I'm new here. I need to loose so much weight I dont know where to start. I dont know how I found myself at this point but here I am. I hope to be under 199.

upswife 12-19-2005 12:31 PM

:welcome2: Victoria! Good luck and remember small steps

JigglyBits 12-19-2005 01:01 PM

Welcome Victoria!! :)

Debbie 12-19-2005 07:27 PM

Good evening everyone,
I've ate b-fast twice today..lol. I had eggbeaters and tomato this am. I had oatmeal and applesauce for dinner. Ok, lunch was bbq beef, beans and potato salad.
Yesterday I picked up a new pair of jeans a size 20W ...:carrot: When I started this time I was in a size 28.

Holly:  BREATHE IN... BREATHE OUT. Get some rest my friend.

Victoria: :welcome3: This is a great thread. You will get a lot of support.
Just stick around.

UPS: Holly doesn't make me feel as lazy as she makes me tired...LOL.
I know what you mean about the calories of some snacks. WOOZER...
a whole meals worth of calories for a honey bun. Of course I heat it in a skillet with lots of butter. OOPS I feel my jeans tightening.

Jiggly: Hope you enjoyed your lunch date. Our thursdays at work are 10-12 hrs long and at a crazy speed so my friend and I escape for a good lunch. I just try to behave myself. I usually put 180 mins of leisurely walking in my points counter. We stoop, bend and stretch. Needless to say I never go to curves on thursday.

Susie: I won't be going back to their board except for food questions. I'm no prude but they switched from the subject to talking about exchangeing sexual
favors for treats. "use your imagination" I know that ww has teen members.
One day I said something about having mexican for lunch. You guys don't think anything about it. But some guy got started about me eating a "mexican" ...oh well , their bad. Not all of the threads are that way but some just are real rude. I really love you guys. :grouphug:

I've got dishes waiting then I have so gifts to wrap...AARRGGG.

MyChoice2bfit 12-19-2005 10:36 PM

Getting ready to head to bed here but I wanted to report that even though the food wasn't perfected today, I did manage to get in some veggies, some whole grains and some protein, and only one sweet, and no rootbeer...just my water and I feel SO much better.

I also went for a 30 min walk. It was a brisk walk, not fast but brisk. I talked with my friend Ann while we walked..it was nice to visit.

I also got caught up at work on my orders!!! I have some to enter for tomorrow but they are ones that I received today...I am current.

Debbie: Size 20 jeans! You are almost a teen again!! :) I'm so proud of you and happy for you!

Holly: I wish we could bottle your energy.

UPS: Hey..you didn't eat chips..that's something good. Celebrate those little things..they will make you "little".

Victoria: Welcome. You said you didn't know where to start..but you do..you came here and you posted. I would offer the advice to post to the board every day..it will keep your goals on your mind. Ask questions..there will be plenty of support and guidence here. Also, start walking..it's great to move your body and even if you only start with 5-7 min..it's more than you were doing and will make a difference. I would also suggest that you start writing down your food to get an idea of how much and what you are eating. You have to see what you are doing to know what to change.

I think that is enough for you to get started with. Feel free to pick one or all of them..but pick only what you can incorporate into your life every day (or at least attempt everyday) and make that a habit..then pick up something else...this is a journey and we are racing along the path..the ony way to get to the end is to stick to the path.

I think I just gave myself some very good advice to get back on track!:o

Ok..time for sleep.

Goodnite.

Hollyhock 12-19-2005 10:58 PM

Supremely pooped. I do run out of energy ya know. Still have 2 baskets to fold but not tonight.
HUGS and nighty night.

Hollyhock 12-20-2005 08:57 AM

WOWEEEEEEEEEE
It is very fresh out there. Brisk. Invigorating!!!
DS is off to school. 4 kids here.
Glorious day yesterday.

Got everything in my list done but 2 baskets of wash folded. I got all the trash ready to go out a day early and almost forgot to put in a small Avon order. Doh! Promptly straightened that out and went to bed. Slept deeply. Didn’t want to venture out of the covers this AM but did crawl out. DS finished up a beauty project about his heritage. DH helped him with most of it which is very cool.
I had a sitter come to stay with the 4 kids here while I took DS to hockey. It was so much less stressful!!
We had a GREAT school council meeting followed by food and beverage. Very festive. I adore these people.
I have to run an Avon order to another town this morning. I will figure out errands on the way.
I desperatley need to shower. LOL!! I have an aversion to getting out of a warm shower into the freezing cold house.
I will still putter at housework. Bake something. Make hearty pork roast dinner for my angels. Finish up craft with kids.

Feeling content. No great epiphanies today. Life is wonderful.

upswife 12-20-2005 09:21 AM

Holly You're my hero, I am moving better than yesterday, but I am just aiming to get a shower in before work. My sister is coming over to watch the kiddies because DH will not be home in time.

I did get soe errands done yesterday. All the CHrismas shopping is done all I have left is to wrap 2 gifts. Today is DS last day of school before break, It will be nice not having to worry about what time it is. and Having to run for the bus.

Well ladies I will be in later, hopefully I won't have to work too late!

Debbie 12-20-2005 03:09 PM

Hey guys,
I just stopped by to say hello, I'm at work, inside warming up. It's in the mid 40's and raining. I let myself get too wet now I'm chilled. My cup of green tea will help. :coffee:
Later chicks

Debbie 12-20-2005 03:14 PM

UPDATE: it's 36f no wonder I'm cold since I got wet...LOL

MyChoice2bfit 12-20-2005 05:38 PM

I'm off to an organization meeting for a new TOPS chapter but I wanted to drop a quick email.

I'm feeling much better ever since I made a small adjustment of making sure that I get a few veggies in and lean protein and limiting my sweets.

How's everyone else doing with all the goodies that are out there calling our name at this time of year?

Holly: I hate to get out of a warm shower when it's so cold outside too. I keep my big fluffy robe ready to jump into so I'm not freezing when I turn off the water.

Debbie: I hope you got warmed up. It's very cold in Ohio right now. I don't think we made it about 20 degrees F.

UPS: I hope you didn't have to work late! I've pulled ALOT of late evenings this past year and it can really wear a person out.

I've got to run ladies.

Susie

Hollyhock 12-20-2005 06:10 PM

It is 24F here, going down to 17F.
I am of to the business depot after i put the kids to bed to laminate some pages of photos I put together for the kids. I LOVE making home made gifts for the folks I adore.
Time to toss my hoodlums in the tub.

Hollyhock 12-21-2005 09:03 AM

:wreath:
Today I will.......
hmmmmmmmmmm. Bake cookies in the morning, take tray of goodies to staffroom at school( keep them lovin us:D ),tidy house, clean bathrooms, put away the laundry i finally folded(lol),listen to music, call a friend and chat, wrap, DH’s gifts( we do the kids together christmas eve with a cocktail or 2), be thankful..........

Yesterday I........

delivered Avon, kids were so good I took them to BK to eat and play, I did not order a meal for myself. I ate a few fries and 1/2 a burger and then came home and had some yellow pepper. Kids were complete dears all day!!!
After I tucked the kids in I went to the city to colour copy scrap book pages and left them there to be laminated to pick up tomorrow.Got home late, had a snack and went to bed and pretended to read but nodded immediately.

Good morning so far. 3 kids off to school. 2 kids on hols already. 1 coming( I think). Majorly low key for this crazy household.

Groovin’ along!!!!!!!!!!

Be jolly chicks! :tree:

Debbie 12-21-2005 10:02 PM

Good evening everyone,
We usually do our family thing on christmas day, but this year dgs has plans. We have changed to christmas eve so I have one less day for cooking. We don't fix a lot. I made a chocolate-peanut butter marble cheesecake tonight.
I think I'm calling it quits after I clean the kitchen.
I really blew my plan today :ink: And that isn't counting the tasting...
I hope I do better tomorrow.

I know everyone is so busy, but be safe.
Take time to remember the reason for the season...GOD BLESS. :grouphug:

upswife 12-22-2005 11:26 AM

I think I have some of holly's spirt today! I actuall got up and got my kitchen cleaned and have the laundry on ( I think I have about 6 loads, but I also have to strip the kiddie's beds so that will make one or two more loads) I alos have to run to the dry-cleaners and the bank. If the kiddies cooperate I will also hit the food store for some essentials (Milk-I actually ran out)

Food this week has been so-so but exercise has been non-existent. I think it is the cold weather-all my joints hurt and I can't get the courage/energy to do anything.

One achievement~I am all done christmass shopping and wrapping. YAY!!

have a great day all!

Hollyhock 12-22-2005 08:32 PM

Hiya, Got all dizzy this Am and hurled...ew...rested. Just 2 kids here and they were angels. Feel fine now had a good supper. Still resting tho.Watching the tube and putting together scrap books for the kids tonight.

All is peaceful, happy and enjoyable. I may go and do Grandma’s hair if she wants me to.
Tomorrow I need to make 1 more batch each of, peanut brittle, almond brittle, fudge and rumballs. Shrimp and chinese side dishes for supper, Christmas Eve, a bottle-o-wine and candles......
Class party for both kids today. I am taking in caramel popcorn and games.
Hubby is off til Tuesday and he received a $500 bonus!!! This is the first time since I have known him that he has had a decent boss and is valued. I am only babysitting a few days in the next 2 weeks!!! Egads a holiday. Usually we both work cause if we dont work we dont get paid. Looking forward to it.
