Happy Thursday everyone! Where is everyone hiding? I had to go and sit through a payroll and accounting audit at my accoutants office this morning...can anyone say fun?

Anyway, I survived and am feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders for now. I still have a ton of paperwork on my desk but that will never change, so why worry? At least I have a job right?
Sarah, the first weeks of the WW plan are kind of nerve-wracking (at least for me). I bought the food companion book so I could look up all the point values for the foods I would want to eat. After a while, you get to know it in your head. The points slider works well too. You'll soon find that some foods just aren't worth the points! I feel like this plan is for real and fits in with real life. I like it very much. Good luck on your progress--let me know if you have any questions too--I like to think I'm a font of information
Hey Julie, yup it's true that HI people eat a lot of Spam--I think we're the #1 consumer of it in America...rivaled only by Guam which is a US territory but not a state. My personal fave is the hot & spicy which is flavored with tabasco sauce

. In fact, Guam was the first test market for that flavor and Hawaii consumers got it next. A Hawaii favorite is the spam musubi--a slice of fried spam in the middle of sticky white rice with a sushi nori wrap. Check out this newspaper article written about it. My sister "spammed" Hormel about bringing the spicy flavor to HI:

Angie, if you moved to FL I'd make it a point to visit you, have some of your donuts and then we could make a trip to Disney World--or better yet, a road trip in your RV to visit Kempy! Sounds like a plan?
Howzit Jacks! Welcome back and Happy New Year! How was your visit with the family? Hit any jackpots while in Vegas? You're lucky--if you came home on Saturday, you missed most of the miserable rainy weather we had. It rained CONTINUOUSLY for 3 days when I came home! The island is a beautiful green and lush place today though. I went over to the windward side and boy the view was just breathtaking! Back to the old grind though eh? Just 39 more days to the Great Aloha Run... I guess I should send in my registration soon huh?

Don't worry, I'm doing it.

Kempy, I guess you're in school today. Have you gotten to work on any real live bodies besides yourself?
Hello to Cal, Cherie, Dips, and everyone else. I gotta get some work done. Aloha!
ps. Anyone want to start a weigh-in on Saturday then every Saturday after that until the end of the month? I'm in if anyone else is.
