Corinna and Little: good morning from Costa Rica!! We’re leaving Tortuguero today and head to Dominical. To be in the warmth is heavenly and the nature is stunning. We took a little boat through the jungle and saw monkeys and lizards.
Meals: the meals are included on the first 4 day tour to Tortuguero. They were plentiful and I didn’t stay “low carb” but I don’t think I over ate.
Exercise: a lot of walking to see things, the Caribbean beach and the butterfly sanctuary and swimming in the pool.
Positive: excellent weather, relaxation. People from all over Europe come here. Lovely to hear all the languages.
Follena: How exciting your trip sounds. The warmth, nature, boat rides, traveling through the jungle, butterfly sanctuary. Oh and Monkeys and Lizards. Sounds like my type of vacation. Enjoy your food! Your staying smart with moderation. Have fun!
Just started my weight lost journey saw this forum group and I’m loving the motivation congrats to all who are seeing positive results any tips on getting started?
23 pound weight loss!!!!! Praise god just reading all of these motivational post made me wake up and smell the coffee I have been on my journey for only 6 weeks and it becoming a lifestyle change. I’m in such a better mood and my self esteem is through the roof. A close friend of mine named Shelly introduced me to a program and I am so appreciative to her. Hope everyone reaches their goal and continues to stay positive.
Positive: Still keeping my weight down.
Negative: but need to get some more pounds off this body.
Shedmyfat- congratulations!!! What a great start you have, and a great friend too. The best way to get started is to have others around you support you in your efforts. Plus you need to be committed to your efforts and keep track of your lifestyle too. That way you will notice what works, and what areas you need to improve on. Keep that motivation going. It will help you get through those periods that seem to slow down. Just remember that is part of the transition and hang in there, that new body is forming and you will see the results of all your hard work.
Corinna: hoping you can lose that last bit of weight which is often the hardest. One day at a time. You make good food choices. I might be in for a surprise when I finally weigh on March 9th.
Meals: it’s easy to stay low carb while we are in our condo in Dominical. I’m pleasantly surprised to see food in restaurants supports low carb. Ceviche in lime wow! Lots of seafood and delicious salads. I don’t think I’m overeating but booze is likely knocking me out of ketosis. Pina coladas, flavoured vodka and water ... and Heineken beer. I’m keeping it to 2-3 drinks per day and drinking loads of water.
Exercise: a lot of walking to see things, the Caribbean beach and our condo complex requires a long walk up. Swimming and boogy board in ocean and pool.
Positive: excellent weather, relaxation. Horse back ride in the jungle tomorrow to see a waterfall.
Breakfast: Waffles and veggie links
Lunch: Chinese noodles and vegetables
Supper: Veggie pizza
Exercise: none, day of rest, body switching from night shift to day shift
Positive: The daffodils are starting to grow up out of the ground. Spring is coming. Felt good to have a nice hot shower this morning. Good start to day.
Negative: Missing my diet buddies.
Hope to get a bit of walking in this morning. May do some yard work too depending on weather. Taxes, taxes, taxes, got to gather the paperwork and start working on filing them.
Follena-I won't be surprised if you show a weight loss when you return from all that exercise, even if you are drinking. Your trip sounds fabulous!
Breakfast: Waffles and veggie links
Dinner: Pad Thai
Supper: Vegetables and rice
Snack:Popcorn
Exercise: 5 mile walk
Positive: What a beautiful day for a walk. Didn't overeat today, although I was tempted to just a bit.
Negative: I worried I won't see some good results for tomorrow's weigh-in. I will soon find out.
Sweetsoph-welcome, and what a sweet little dog on your avatar. Looks like you have some good food choices. That's good.
Corinna: congratulations on the lost pound!! I’m glad you got that because it will keep you motivated. Hoping you are right about my weight ... my clothes still feel okay
Everything is going well here in CR. We horseback ride to Nauyaca waterfalls and on Tuesday, we will zip line in Miramar. Then last 6 nights in Manuel Antonio, a beautiful spot.
Meals: staying pretty good on food, sometimes eating 2 meals per day and still drinking lots of water. I had pizza one night. Tonight I was tempted to have a brownie with ice cream for dessert but I didn’t.
Exercise: walking the beach and swimming. Horse back riding and zip lining.
Positive: excellent weather, relaxation.
Negative: a little bit hard sometimes travelling with my sis and her husband. She can be quite dismissive and condescending. But ... I have my faults so we must bear one another with love.
