Evening ladies!

Blue in the kitchen...............hum..........might have to try that sometime. Mine is brick and wood no color whatsoever! Got myself a new taebo dvd today. Awesome now to get all the moves down. Bought it and then felt so guilty about spending the money. I hope that the ends will justify the means. It is getting late and must get some sleep. Later

Good Morning Ladies!

Quick note before work. Renee, Ill think about the blue. Hubby rejects each color I tell him. I think I am going to go with the wintergreen that we painted the trim in the living room with. He seems to like it. Ill leave the cabinets wood, just as they are, and just sand them and re-polyeurothane them. Then lay the new flooring.

I started using my exercise ball last night. A co-worker, who used to teach gym, showed me some great moves for it. I did 3 sets of 15 ab crunches and 3 sets of 8 squats. Wow, I feel it this morning. She told me to only do it 3 times a week. So Im excited about seeing possibly some results. Of course she said give it 6 weeks. I hate waiting. LOL.

Well, I better get moving. Got alot to do today at work. At least it will be a short week, due to our being off on Monday. So that is a plus! Have a wonderful day everyone. Take care.

Morning everyone!

Kevin, I understand about waiting to see the results. There is a workout tape out it is a Denise Austin ult. abs and I started to notce a difference after 3 wks. This tape has 4 different workouts on it, look for it. Started on the taebo last night, hopefully while Corey is at childrens church I will be able to get in my workout. Just wanted to check in before work. Here's to a wonderful day all.

hey everybody!

You girls are like exercise queens! I think it is great! I got two walks in on the treadmill yesterday, too! I have often thought about the exercise ball and those exercise bands too--but I think I will just stick to the free weights right now. I think any money you spend to motivate yourself to move is worth every penny. I think we all want immediate results. It's like that progressive insurance commercial.

My kitchen is sage green and beige and dark paprika red. Most of my house is neutral, natural colors. It is very open to every room--so it all needs to coordinate. No blue this time around. I am sure whatever color you choose, Kevin, it will look great! And just tell yourself it is only paint--if you hate it--you can just paint over it.

Eating was pretty good yesterday. Hopefully, I can atleast make it two in a row. Take care!

Morning!

Yesterday I got to get in the whole taebo tape. Corey was involved with his roller coaster building game so I go to exercise! However the food part was sucky. Oh well today is a new day. I am hopeful that I will at some point in time be able to get in at least an ab workout. I haven't felt like doing on in such a long time and now I am soo ready to get back on that horse so to speak.

Renee, I love greens. I had the bathroon in one apt peach and a light green loved it so much. When on to use the sage as well in one or two of my kitchens in the past. Now in this place that I am in everything is more netural. Give me color any day! Speaking of color I have yet to make it to the tanning bed. I think that I am going to wait until the first of Feb. The place where I go is doing so remodeling and I really hate to go there during the process so I am going to wait.

Times a wasting gotta get a shower and a move on my day. I would love to get some more sleep but I have to take my mother shopping before I go to work so I know that I will be run down by the time this evening comes to a close. Everyone lets have a super OP plan day!

Good Thursday Morning!

Ugh! Snow again! I wish I could send you some Sharla. If I stand outside and blow real hard to the South, you think it would work. Last year we had the snowiest winter on record--I thinking this year may set a new record!

I spent the whole day cooking and baking yesterday. It started with lunch--I opeined a can of vegetable soup (Cambells) and yuck! I do not remember it tasting so awful! Sweet. So, I decided to make some vegetable soup. Then bread. Then low fat apple cinnamon streusel muffins with that whole wheat pastry flour and splenda and eggbeaters. (they came out good) And some sugar-free chocolate fudge pudding with ff cool whip folded in to make a sort of mousse. Whew! I did well on food until I ate dinner and had wayyyy tooo much bread and butter. So much for carb counts for the day. Oh well...on the good side, I got on that twice for a total of 65 minutes for the day! So maybe it will all balance out.

I will try to make it a great OP day and am sending everyone the willpower and motivation they need to do the same!

Hey!

Way to go Sandy on getting in those workouts too! I agree, that giving that Tae Bo tape a chance is a good idea--but you have definately got to "like" the exercises to stick with them. Maybe, in time, it will grow on you. Are the moves very difficult or is it just boring? When I did Jazzercise classes (seems like an eon ago), we did some kickboxing moves. It was fun, but someone said a whole workout with just kickboxing got really boring.

I again , got two walks in the treadmill yesterday. Grant you, they are not full force and exersion workouts--but I figure it is better than sitting on my duff in front of the tv! Atleast I am moving while watching tv. I know, you all know, from my posts what crappy weather we have been having here--and I cannot believe I stayed "in" all week long! I am sure to be getting cabin fever soon! I just have no desire to venture out in all the crappy snow and cold. But today, I need to get to the grocery store, so I guess that is part of the game plan. I really consider myself lucky to have the luxury to stay home, if I choose. I feel bad for all those that must go out, even when they don't want to.

We have been trying to keep the thermostat down (around 65-68 degrees) to keep the gas bill under control. It has been so cold this month, I hate to see the damage. We have a wood burning stove downstairs, which hubby has pretty much kept going for the whole month of January to help defer some of the heating costs. He gets the wood for free (just the price of his labor to gather it and split it), so it does help. Last year, my neighbor had a $400.00 gas bill! Can you imagine?? Yikes.

Eating was good yesterday. I am still on a bread making kick, and yesterday, made cinnamon swirl bread for the kids and hubby. Sometimes I think I say I make things for them, but secretly--they are for me. Kevin, you have definately got more willpower than I to make the stuff and not eat it. Well, I did only have 1 pc of bread--so that was good. Tonight for dinner, I am planning on making whole wheat pizza crust and making a hawaiian pizza (with ham and pineapple) for myself and a regular pizza for the rest of the gang. Salad with lf dressing on the side.

Make it a great day ladies! TGIF!

Good Morning!

Renee, I hear you about the cold. I realize it is alot different. My cold without snow. Its still cold though! The lows here have been 25 at night and 40's during the day. Thats probably warm for you huh? . We spend around 150 dollars a YEAR on heating. We use propane. We have a small wall heater that heats the entire house. But I would love a wood burning stove. Hubby would never cut and split wood though. So Ill hang up that notion.

Ive been working out on my ball. The first couple days, my legs were horrible. I could hardly bend down lol. My thighs were so sore. Much better now. I can actually see a little difference in my stomach already. Im getting more pumped to see what 6 weeks brings. I downloaded a diary a while ago, that I found on Cnet. Its called IDaily Dairy. I had been looking for an electronic one in the stores. No one sells them. This one was free, and its real neat. I tried using the 3FC one and was embarrassed to write lol. So this way I can write and no one can read it (its passworded). I tried handwriting one. I hate writing with pen and paper, so this one is perfect. Now to find time to write in it when Hubby isnt peering over my shoulder.

I cook things for the guys just a few times a month. I dont usually cook them sweets and such just anytime. They usually request it. As soon as its finished, I stand there staring at it lol. Wondering how it would taste. Just one bite/piece wont hurt. Then I have to remind myself, how I got where I was 9 months ago. I snap out of my trance pretty quick.

Thats awesome about the treadmill Renee. And you too Sandy with the Tae Bo. I remember when I tried Tae Bo several years ago. I think it was Billy Blanks. It looked so much fun. I may have to give him a go again. Are they still expensive? My mom has a treadmill, she said I could use, but I have NO WHERE to put it. My front porch/storage , is overcrowed with remodeling projects for the house right now. As soon as it is all cleared out, I may ask her about it again. My problem is I get bored staying in one spot for too long! Thats why I walk around town like I do.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. Im going to find my chores. Get an early start. Everyone is still sleeping here. Take care all, Ill check in again later.

Morning Ladies!

You women are exercise crazy I'm so glad to hear you all are making progress I haven't gotten back into the habit of exercise but my eating has been pretty good. I lost 2 pounds last week and hope to see atleast a pound gone Monday morning.

Renee, I wish you could send me some of that snow. We have had less than an inch twice this winter and that's about it. We are going to get sleet and freezing rain after midnight tonight but most of it will be North. It's going to be in the 40's here so it won't last.

Sandy, I read that you do tae boe? I can't remember what I read on who done what sorry! Anyway, I bought those a long time ago and I can't do 2 minutes of that thing. It makes me hurt and tired just watching it! So... Way To Go!!

Kevin, can't remember what you have accomplished, I know, I'm pitiful but I'm sure you accomplished something too so great job!

Since you all are doing so good on exercise please rub this little guy and wish for the exercise bug to hit me!

Need to run, my nephew is here this weekend so we are going to go have some fun.

Take Care!

Good Morning Ladies!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Sharla it was good seeing you again. You have been busy it seems. Congrats on the 2 lbs! Thats wonderful! Even if you arent back in action with the exercise, you seem to be doing well with the rest. Great!

I spent all day yesterday clearing and cleaning my kitchen. I also moved the fridge, bakers rack, table, etc, around to change the look. Really made a difference. Im getting it ready to be redone next. I tossed out 8 bags of crud. Cant believe I had all that crammed in my kitchen. Half of it I had forgotten I had, or couldnt remember why I even bought it anyways LOL. Less is best. Im slowly learning that. This remodeling has been a much needed eye opener. Im going to do the master bedroom today. Even though we arent going to start on it for a few weeks. Ill get a head start. Hubby will have alot to take away from this house next week.

It has rained since yesterday afternoon. Dreary. But oh guess what! Next Monday they are predicting not one, but 2 days of SNOW! Can you believe that. This should be interesting lol. I havent told the kids yet, cause they will bug me to death. And if by some chance the weatherperson was wrong, which we all know that they never are , I dont want the kids blaming me for it not snowing LOL. Cause they will.

Time to get started on the bedroom. Everyone have a wonderful day. Take care and Ill check in later.

Hello!

Sandy, I hope your days slow down soon. You seem to be bustling about at a very fast pace! How is Corey doing? How did the weather affect your part of Kentucky? Hope things were ok, and not as messy as others. The ice/snow only come as far as Atlanta here. That is usually how it is. We started yesterday morning at 76 degrees, by 10 am it was 41 degrees! Can you believe it dropped like that in just a few hours? And stupid me didnt bring a jacket, cause when I left at 6:55 am it was so nice and warm. My jacket is ready to travel this morning!

Renee, I hope you are doing well. Has your weather gotten any better? Did you ever make it out to shop and take care of errands? If it snowed like that here, Id never leave. Not just because it was messy, but because I havent a clue how to drive or anything in weather like that. Id be totally lost.

Sharla, how are you? Hope things calm down for you soon, so you can stop by and visit with us more.

Well, gotta get moving. Everyone have a wonderful day, take care. Keep warm and safe if you travel and get out and about.

Evening all!

Some snow is falling tonight and I know that because of this there will not be school tomorrow. I guess that the kiddies will get another day off. Wonder if I can get one of those? Snow and ice isn't bad here right now and I hope that it stays that way! Right now Corey is loving it.......everyday is something new...wondering if you get to get out of school early or not. I got is report card the other day and met with his teacher as well. I think that I just might have a great student on my hands. He is reading at 3rd grade level(he is in second), and his math is right on the boder of 2nd/3rd grade level. His teacher has been letting him help with teaching some of the students and that gives my little man a high! I guess that I am going to toot his horn after all if I don't who will.

Kevin, wish that I could get up to 70 degree weather this time of year. Heck I think that anything in the 40s sounds good to me. Kevin, you would learn to drive in the snow it really isnt that bad. All in all I think that there are times that I rather be out driving in it. One thing is certain there isn't as many people on the road when it snows! LOL!

Haven't been able to workout too much the past two days. Work has left me way tired so I am going to try to take it easy for a day(tonight) and rest some. I did get in part of my taebo yesterday but got sidetracked by Corey. I am going to be buying myself some sort of equipment to workout with soon, I think that it will be the best way for me to go seeing how I don't have time to make it to the gym. Guess that I better run I think that I am going to get myself in bed early for a change!

Hope that everyone is staying warm and having a wonderful day!

hey Everybody!

Sorry I have been MIA for the past 5 days! Weather here has been horrible! First it snowed again. (If I could send you all some, believe me I would) Unlike Sandy, I do not like to drive in it. The salt they coat the streets with leaves a nasty film all over the car and if you rub against it, it gets all over you. Nasty, white dust. Then all the lots and streets get all yucky with black slush and it gets all over your footwear. We have had temps in the negatives to low 20's for the past few weeks, with wind chills in the negatives almost everyday. It does terrible things to your skin! I moisturize constantly! Then, Monday--the temps got up into the 30's--but that brought alot of freezing rain. So now the snow covered ground is covered with inches of ice! The kids finally had school today--after having two snow days off. (which was nice ) Now today, it is in the teens again with the promise of another couple of inches of snow. It will be June when we finally thaw out around here!! Sorry, I don't mean to complain, but this winter has been really bad. I haven't seen grass since before Christmas.

Kevin, I am sure, if you get snow, it will be neat! I hope you get some. The problem, down south with snow is, no removal stuff (salt and plows). So the roads do get much worse. Oh well, enough about snow!

Sharla, congrats on the pounds lost!!!!! I too, have lost a few, but not back down to my lowest I lost last summer yet. Since the days have been a little messed up--I have not exercised much--but am managing to keep eating under control.

Well, I best get on with my day. Will try to stop back this evening!
