Ok is there life out there anywhere?

Got my test results back and I have new endo growth. At least it is better than the other thing that they were looking for.

Kevin, Renee, and Sharla hope that all is well.

Hello!

Sandy, sorry to hear that there is a new growth--but you are right. Better that than the other. Will you need surgery? If so, can they just do it endoscopically?

I have never heard of pink lady apples. I will look for them, but maybe they are regional. Here, my favorite cooking apples are courtland, machintosh, and jonemac. I like to eat red delicious--love that crunch!

The scale was up this week. I just seem to keep eating without thinking and eating when I am not really hungry. I get these thoughts of something and then they just haunt me. I need to get out of this sabbatoging habit! I am doing ok with exercise--but it seems diet is the real key. You just can't loose without both!

Well, make it a good day. Kevin and Sharla--I hope all is well and that we hear from you soon!

Good Morning Everyone!

Sorry for being MIA. Work and home have kept me so far bogged under, I havent known what day it actually is. Thank goodness for the weekend! Seems everyone is doing great! Thats wonderful. Im doing pretty good. Completely worn out and tired. My youngest woke me up this morning with his throat and glands are swollen. Gave him some meds and he is lying on the couch beside me now. Always on the weekend when the doctors around these small towns cant be found. .

Renee and Sandy, the only apples I like are the Granny Smith kind. I love the tartiness of them. The red and gold apples are mushy to me. Kinda mealy tasting. The Grannies are crunchy and sour! Love em.

Sandy I was glad to read that your test revealed only a "growth" in your endo! I know you are breathing well now and resting. Scary what doctors can tell you. Hopefully they will be able to perform some type of surgery soon in the future to relieve some of the discomfort and pain you suffer from.

Santa told me last night my present this year will be included with his, hmm I said, and I asked what that would be, and Santa told me that we were gonna get each other a deep freezer. LOL. So I guess he forgot about the microwave lol.

My scale is at 170. I havent done my WATP tape this week. Instead Ive been back outside walking. Powerwalking, or at least trying too lol. The boys have scooters they have been begging me to let them ride, so I have been walking fast/jogging to keep up LOL. And screaming, STOP, MOVE, HERE COMES A CAR, GET OFF THE ROAD, DID YOU HEAR ME?, I ASKED YOU NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN! LOL. Its been fun and they have been having a blast!

Well, got some chores calling to me. Never an official day off. Never. Always something! Hope everyone has a great day. Take care and Ill check in later.

hello!

Wow! 65 pounds gone Kevin--I am so envious! And happy...good for you. You continue to be an inspiration. The weather has been perfect for walking outdoors here too--so seize the moment! The walk away will wait till you want it. We are just starting to see some pretty fall colors on the trees. In about another two weeks and a good storm--all will be gone Such is life!

The last couple of days have been pretty good--except last night, we had a German Feast and I had potato panckes with sour cream. Love them! Nicole and her friend made the worst pita bread "balls" last night for a school project. Like a good mom, I took a giant bite and I tell you--it was the absolute worst tasting thing I have ever eaten! I found out that the problem was I gave them a giant commercial bag of yeast and well--their recipe called for 1/2 a package. So they used like a cup of yeast! OMG! Live and learn I guess. Tomorrow I am going to the store to buy premade pita bread for the report. They had fun though!

Well, it's sunny and warm today. It's a soccer Saturday! Next week is the last one! Have a great weekend everybody!

Good morning! I have missed posting! Gary and Jordan were down with a cold, sore throat and so on. Jordan is well and Gary is getting better. Glad I didn't catch it!

I am down a pound and have discovered I can pull my jeans down without unbuttoning and unzipping them! WOOHOO! That made me happy!

Jordan turned 13 Sunday. We had a cookout, threw horseshoes and so on. Had a really good time and he just thinks it's wonderful that he is now a teenager.

It's raining here this morning. Cloudy, gloomy, anything but sunshine! I feel much more energetic when the sun is shining. Anyway, I will do the WATP tape this morning instead of walking outside.

Hope everyone is doing well

Sharla, happy belated to your 13 year old. Congrats on the jeans and the pound! Woo Hoo! You are doing great!!.

I cannot believe that Halloween is 2 weeks away! wow...the rest of the holidays are just behind. I don't know about you all, but I am going to need alot of strength to make it to January! I have been going on long walks through the autumn woods almost daily. I know that the weather will last for only so long--so I will enjoy it now while it lasts! The leaves all look so nice!

Well, everybody take care and I hope to hear from you all soon!Renee

Evening everyone! So sorry that I too have been MIA. My puter thought that it wanted to die. Had to revive it.

Sharla, WTG on the jeans. You rock!
Kevin, I think that it is wonderful that you are down to 170. Keep it up I know that you will be there soon!
Renee, I got lucky and got to go on a 7 mile hike before the leaves left.

Not too much going on. I got the scale to finally move. I was stuck at 176 and it was finally down to 175. I'll take it. Thought that I would check in. Gotta go got to get some rest before work in the a.m. Catch up real soon

Morning girls! There is so much weightloss going on here!! I think it's great!! Keeps me motivated! Congrats to all of you!!

I dread to see halloween just because the time will change. I don't like it getting dark at 5:00, that's just way too early!! Gigglez, does your time change? I don't know if all of Kentucky changes or not. Oh well, atleast the leaves are changing to some beautiful colors and it reminds me that it won't be long and it will time for the holidays.

I got up bright and early this morning so I could straighten the house and prepare a veggie tray and so on. I am having a Creative Memories home class today and want to have everything nice and neat when people get here. So far all I have managed to do is drink coffee!!

Better get going, hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone!

Its 7:28 am and I finally get a chance to check in and post. I have been so harried with work the past few weeks, I come home and cook and then clean up and pass out! Spent all day at my Moms yesterday. So now today, I have to do all these chores on my last official day off for the week.

This year is flying by so fast. Hubby and I have got a jumpstart on Christmas at least. Our 2 boys and daughter each have something. Only have small items to get now. And of course buying for my 6 neices and nephews.

Renee, Ive been taking my daily walks too. Its so nice and cool out now. The only bad thing is we arent able to leave to go walk til 6:30 or 7:00. After supper and all. By then, the sun has started going down and its getting dark. When we finally make it home, it is VERY dark. Usually a little after 8. I do think, me and the kids are going to have to get reflective wear. I get nervous with the small amount of traffic out there on the small streets. Get us some vests or something that will show us up better. Most of the traffic right now are farmers coming home from picking peanuts and of course the peanut trucks hauling the trailors to the mills.

I hate to rush off. Got lots of chores to fight with, and hopefully win over. Ill come back a little later and catch up fully. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and take care all!

Happy Monday!

So nice to hear that everyone is loosing out there! Congrats to you all! Me, I am not going anywhere--but am going to use all this success as motivation!

You are right about the darn time change, Sharla! And I think Kevin--that probably makes getting some reflective gear essential!! Just yesterday, DH was driving at dusk when a kid rode out on a bike in front of us and neither if us saw him!! Scary! Dusk is the worst time--the light plays tricks with your eyes, I think. Definately take time to make yourself noticable--country roads are the worst!!

I have got all my halloween candy bought to pass out. Now to lock it up with a key!! I have to start working on the first graders party--I am head room mom for DS's class. I can't believe how fast time is flying by! DH and I worked at getting up the leaves in the yard yesterday--there was a ton! Very discouraging as what we cleaned wasn't even half of what is to come. We have MANY big oaks that haven't even begun to drop their load yet! Ah, fall...They do look pretty though!

I have never been to a creative memories party--but they look really fun. I am avoiding the whole scrapbooking scene, as I know if I get started--I will become an addict! Some of the pages people make are just beautiful! Hope you had a great party, Sharla!!

Well, I have got a 9 year old home with a very sore throat--and have a pediatrician appointment at 11:15 am--so I better get going. Have a great day all!!

Evening!

The leaves are almost gone here. Where does the time go to? Like it says at the begining of days like sand through the hourglass............... Well I know that everyone pretty much knows the rest of it. Just had to pop in and say hi. I have been really busy the last moth and it is finally catching up with me I feel like I could drop. Hope that everyone is doing well! I could go on but I am just about to fall asleep.

catch everyone later

Morning everyone!

Sharla, yes the time here does change and I honestly don't know when that is suppose to happen. I guess that I will figure it out when I actually take time to look at the calander and stuff.

Everyone is talking about how close halloween is and I haven't even got the first piece of candy. I know that I will have to work that night so there isn't any need in doin so, I have gotten Richard to take Corey out that night but now he says that he doesn't want to dress up and go out. I know that he is scared of coustumes so I am up against it. Any ideas? I have told him that he could wear last years basketball uniform over his long cloths and go as a ball player but who knows.

Girls, have you all stopped to realize that turkey time is near. That means that we all need some extra support(I know that I do). Time to kick it all in high gear for me.

Checkin in before work time to run.

here's to a blessed day

sandy

Good Morning!

Sandy, the time changes the 26th I think. You have a good point about turkey day coming. I hadn't thought much about it but now I wonder how hard it's going to be. I will miss chicken and dumplings and the sweet stuff. I will plan very well for the day and make a sugar free something!

Renee, hope your little one is feeling better. Gary and Jordan both had sore throats and a cold. How it missed me I will never know!

I'm redoing phase 1 of the SBD so my hubby can do it. He has diabetes and I really think it will help level out his blood sugar and make him feel better. We have made it through the first 2 days without him grumbling about wanting something good to eat so I guess we will see what happens.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning, girls!

Thanks for asking Sharla, yes, my little guy is better. No strep--but the doctor looked in his throat and couldn't believe the test was negative and prescribed him some antibiotics anyway. It is hard when the kids don't feel well. Don't feel bad, I am a nurse and often have not noticed things about the kids--and then I just feel like a bad mom. But being a mom is a tough job!

Yes, the time change is this weekend. Not really looking forward to it getting dark earlier. I don't really like driving in the dark, unless I have to.

I have thought about the holidays coming soon! I agree that we will need some extra support to get through them! I need to talk to my sister-in-law about who is doing which holiday this year. Last year, I did Thanksgiving and she did Christmas. I will let her choose which she wants to do and then do the other. I like doing Thansgiving better than Christmas--but it will be her choice. Since our family has grown so much, my mom doesn't do any holidays anymore--her place is very small.

Nicole is going to be a 50's girl for Halloween. I made her a poodle skirt last week. Aaron is going as Stitch. And my poor middle guy, can't decide. Dh and I are trying to talk him into being a CSI--but he is not buying it. I cautioned him that if he waits to long to decide, he won't have any cosutme. 9 is a weird age for boys--don't want to look to sissy. Got to be cool. Ah, peer pressure...

Sandy, as for Corey--hmmm, I don't know. Family Fun has a good website with lots of costume ideas--not too scary and usually pretty easy. I hope he doesn't miss out on trick-or-treat. The window of opportunity for such child's play is so short, I always try to encourage my kids to participate while they can. You can't turn back the hands of time.

Sharla, good for you in supporting dh in trying to get the blood sugar under better control. Diabetes runs in my family--my grandparents on both mom and dad sides, so it I have learned how important it is to try to control it before all those other problems occur as a result. It really does effect your whole body. I have been thinking about doing phase one again, myself.

Well, it's a gloomy, wet day out there. That's ok. I like it once in awhile. Take care all! Renee
