Hello to everyone - is taking me ages to catch up with everyone again.

Living the good life really put a dent in that lump of metal I stand on every week. 5lb gain for a bit of fun, thought all the exercise would have chased some of it away. :joker:

This dieting thing is bigger than the scales, can't see where the 5lb is hiding on me and it is not getting time to make itself comfy. I want it gone. I want to be back nearer the 200lbs mark. Am determined to have a brillant, on program week.

Am even going to get up early and exercise. That's easy to say tonight - tomorrow morning it may not seem such a good plan.

Am going to go veg and watch some reality tv, heres to happy healthy living :)

Morning!

Happy Beated Birthday, Carol, and happy to hear that you had a very nice weekend! Perhaps some of those pounds are just water retention from lots of sodium over the weekend. Good for you for planning a brillant week and we'll hold you to it (if you don't mind!)!

And, after reading Cathy's posts, I am back in the game too as of today -- thanks for the motivation, girllfriend! I ate way too much this weekend too and hated that full feeling that I had while falling asleep last night. I had a good self talk and realized that I am getting no where with this "on-off" plan of mine. I needed that :) . I am very proud of you, Cathy!

I bought some nice 5 lb hand weights yesterday for only $5 each (hmm, a dollar a pound) -- I have been using 3 lb ones and wanted to bring it up a bit. I have also been doing my treadmill for a change and I have found that after doing WATP, I can jog so much longer on it.

My commitment this week is to work out everyday. There, in writing so now, no excuses!

My talking pedomoter's alarm just went off and scared the bejesus out of me -- forgot it was in my purse! :D

Morning Pam -- no more snow, I hope! We had torrential rains yesterday -- some places in the state had over 3". And, today's the only day that's suppossed to be rain-free this week too. But it's off to work I go. I bought some flowers for my deck planters Sunday and it's been too rainy to plant them -- that will most likely be tomorrow's job -- in the garage no doubt!

Morning Dahlia and everyone else!

OK, time to get the show on the road -- have a good one and let's all try our best this week!

Always, Terry

For the record, 2.25 mies on the treadmill alternating between power walk and jog .... and 10 minutes of hand weights. I did it! I'm pooped but I did it. One dead body signing off ................ :dizzy:

Happy Belated birthday Carol, hello Terry, Grandma, Pam and everyone else..

IT felt so good to have a day off yesterday, had been working steady since the 28th of April with no time off for good behavour.
Now its back to 6 days a week till we close... sometime at the end of the month, then I have a huge amount of office work to get done to finish off the summer. Then I start preparing for next season again... a vicious cycle...:).. anyway we are planning to drive out to Calif to see son and his family this fall, so I have something nice to look forward too...

I am still holding at 9.5 pounds gone.. even with eating steak and potato salad yesterday,, so feel good about that... :)

My first goal is so close to being reached,,, and I can't wait to start the next one...

Well have to start the day ,, so heading off to work.. oh Terry what did you buy for your planters.. we put gazanias in our 27' planter yesterday, with million bells.. looks neat.. am going to put some trailing verbena in 6 colors in my whiskey barrel with marqerite daisies ... trying to be different this year.. still have 4 beds to contend with... need to find some time to get them cleaned out first... little at a time...ok well gotta go.. have to sell more flowers so I can afford to go to Calif....

Hi Ladies,
Guess what i did last night? ( :nono: Terry..get your mind outta the gutter  ) i drank 6 beers :headache: while helping hubby pull some large broom bushes out from around his workshop so i have got double exercise duty to put in today to try and make ammends..i've just added up the 'damage' and my totals for yesterday were 1889 cals + 21g fat which surprises me really because i thought it would have been worse than that...hopefully it won't hinder my progress..i'll be an  today. I did'nt do the Pilates yesterday..i was going to but then the movie came on "message in a bottle" and i decided to watch that instead so i treadmilled and lifted weights like Terry.

Terry..well done with the exercise..i'm proud of you too ;) maybe its time for the challenges to start? :s:

Dahlia..27' planter? :faint: i thought it was Texas were everything was supposed to be bigger!

Carol..get plenty of water in you and flush those extra lbs away thats what i'm going to do today.

Hi Pam..great to hear from you..as usual :)

cat90 05-28-2003 01:12 AM

Ha-Ha..check out the new Av ;) its Olivia's passport photo  she has just been to Alicante,Spain and they are going to the Monaco Grand Prix..in fact they could be there now :?: then a couple of weeks after they get back they are going to Barbados  she is one well travelled young lady and she won't remember any of it  i could'nt believe it when i got the mail this afternoon because i wrote to Jacqui this morning asking her to write and send me some pics  I went for groceries
posted my letter and on the way home i checked the mailbox and i had 2 letters from her  so now i'll have to write again and explain what happened :dizzy:

cat90 05-28-2003 01:13 AM

Here's another..i can't wait to give her a cuddle :D

Cool Mom 05-28-2003 01:48 AM

Morning!

Believe me, posting this early in the morning is not intentional -- dang dog had to go out. All I can say is I had better fall back to sleep when I go back upstairs ... grrr!

Cathy, she is one beautiful little girl -- I think she's traveled farther in her little life than I have in my 51 years! She's growing by leaps and bounds -- and she's smiling too :) . So precious!

Hey, Dahlia, glad your season is coming to a close so you can post more often! Don't ask me the names of everything I bought for my planters -- not my expertise at all. I like different shades of green plants so I bought some light green traily stuff to hang over the planter edges, and some darker green spikey things for the middle for height. I do know I picked out pink begonias and some other two-tone pink flowers. Want some white and pink geraniums too, and then something with a bit more color. As you can see, I need another trip to flower place!

I hope it was a prosperous season for ya! A customer of ours owns a place and he said it's going to be a long season for him because of all the rain and cold temps that we have been having lately.

Good 'ol Mother Nature sure knows how to mess up things sometimes :dizzy: .

Cat, even with six beers  you did well yesterday! Moi??? Gutter mind???!!! Nah, I think you mean Pam!!!! Now, she'll get me for that! :smug:

I love both my WATP and the treadmill so I just do whatever I'm in the mood for -- I am really hoping it's just something everyday. I went over just two points with food today but I questimated on the high end so I may be OK afterall. I'm hungry right now but I am determined NOT to open that fridge.

Now to see if I can fall back to sleep -- see you all in a few hours.

ALways, Terry

Smiling Sal 05-28-2003 08:44 AM

Am drinking so much water my back teeth are floating :) :) :)

Am determined to have a god week, I am going to stick with it, have made it to Wednesday lunchtime, just got to get to Monday evening and then I'll have a half decent weigh in.

We'll make you stick to the exercise Terry, am trying to do something every day myself. i walked 3.4 miles yesterday but have been rained off so far today. Will need to look out one of my exercise tapes, have a great salsa one

till later

Cool Mom 05-28-2003 10:01 AM

 Carol, you're surrounded by water inside and out!

Excellent job on all those miles yesterday, too. I'm heading upstairs to the treadmill in a few minutes -- it's so much easier to get my activity in before work. There's no way I do it after I get home so no point in putting it off and kidding myself. And, I am very good at kidding myself! :dizzy:

Wake up everyone -- hump day!

Always, Terry

Cool Mom 05-28-2003 12:57 PM

Just checking in to record that I did 2.25 miles on the treadmill and some weights. Two days in a row -- that's good for me :)

Have a great afternoon .....

cat90 05-28-2003 01:53 PM

:cp: great job Terry :D i have mine to do yet..i've just finished writing another letter to Jacqui..2 pages :) lots of questions including send more pics  I attempted to do the accelerated Pilates yesterday ;) managed 20-30mins..hmmm, Mari will have to wait a while before i can do that so its back to basics for me..i treadmilled for 20 mins too and drank 3.5pts of water..not as much as Carol but good for me  not decided what to do today probably treadmill and weights..not had brekky yet so i'd better get happening..bbl

Cool Mom 05-28-2003 06:47 PM

I'm hungry, not good!!! :^: I brought home some cooked deli chickens as I worked late and some salad stuff. I also brought mashed potatoes and stuffing for the guys. Need to heat up those carbs with my eyes closed and a closepin on my nose so I don't smell them either :D . OK, here I go to face those food demons! Cathy, a little bit each day of the accelerated tape and you'll work yourself up to the whole thing in no time. I am so glad I did my workout this morning because I am pooped again tonight. See you guys later ........ T

cat90 05-28-2003 08:02 PM

Only did a mile and a quarter on the treadmill before i went out and i don't want to do anything now so i guess that will be it for me until tomorrow. I went to town to dispute my monster cable bill i did'nt understand all the extra charges that suddenly appeared this month..anyway, i begrudgeingly paid it after the girl did her best to explain to me what had happened but it went right over my head :dizzy: and she assures me that i won't have any surprises in next months bill..so i'm a bit P.O.'d about that but never mind  i'll be tackling the bank manager next we're thinking of re-mortgaging before the interest rates go sky high again..it will cost us a penalty but its worth thinking about.
It can't hurt to find out :)
Gosh its 5pm and i've only had a bowl of cornflakes and a coors light  how's that for a "diet"?

cat90 05-29-2003 10:10 AM

Morning Ladies,
:drill: right you lovely lot have you or are you going to do your exercise today? :s: if not..WHY NOT? no excuses now..summer is almost here..i know i won't have a bikini bod for it but i want a better one than i've got now
I've been playing "guess my weight" this morning..i've got 3 scales and none of them weigh the same  so i've been loading barbell weights on to them to see which is closest and it looks like the winner is the OLDEST one  the one i replaced with better? ones  OMG..i'm a sad so and so if i've nothing better to do than that at 6.30am  BBL
