Good morning all,

Yvette, welcome to Ten Pounds at a Time. These are a fantastic bunch of ladies who really helped me get motivated to take the weight off when I was ready to stop making excuses for myself. That was in November 2001 and by November 2002 I was down 50+ pounds and am now at my goal weight for a total of 57 pounds down. Like Terry mentioned we all kind of follow different things; for myself it Weight Watchers and counting Points. Please post often and never by shy to ask questions as we're all ready, willing and able to help.

Terry, I'm so happy to hear you made it through the surgery with flying colours and can see so well now. What a transformation in sight by the sounds of it eh? That's just such wonderful news. I'm happy that your new employee was such a Godsend and was able to help you guys out. Sounds like a win/win situation for all of you.

Cat, I can so see you in bib overalls and rubber boots at 4 in the morning ready to start your day. You're such an adorable nut :dizzy: I hope you're able to get some rest this weekend.

Em, great job on the no fast food. It's a hard one to give up and one I fight with now and again too. Thanks for answering all my baby questions and I'm so happy to read that Ian is a good sleeper.

Dahlia, congratulations on your losess thus far. Hope work slows down for you soon. Your hard work in all areas is sure paying off. Great job.

Well things here are going alright. I'm getting more caught up work now and have started my second accounting class. It's tough but I had a breakthrough on Thursday night so some of it's starting to make sense now.

It's been a stressful time with my best friend and her upcoming divorce. They're reached an agreement as far as maintenance and the house but as with all things, until the papers are signed at the lawyers I will not breathe a sigh of relief just yet. We went out for dinner last night with her and Makenzie and it was just a hoot. She played shy with Erwin for a little while but then warmed up to him. She's such a beautiful little girl and so active! We had a good play of peek a boo and tickle the baby while she was in her high chair at the restaurant. Auntie Pam ate far too much but the Old Spaghetti Factory is too much temptation for me :)

Well speaking of homework and stuff I suppose I better get a roll on here. House work, home work, shopping and laundry are the name of this weekend. My heavens if life got any more exciting I'd have to call the police on myself ( and yes my dears that was dripping with sarcasm  )

Have a wonderful Saturday and I'll check in more often. Hi to all I've missed and warm thoughts to you all.

Hugs,

Pam

Hi Ladies

Nice to see that you all popped by to say "hello" :)

Em..i can't really help with the pic's..i play around for hours trying to get them the right size  sometimes saving them as low quality saves on space and resizing them of course, but its a case of trial and error for me until i get it to work

I've not accomplished much this morning..the Lord of the Rings is on again..and again i've not taken much notice so i don't know what the heck is going on..its such a long film  and i've such a short attention span :dizzy: the weather is gorgeous so it looks like a couple of hours on the deck is called for to top up my tan :)

As you can see i've had a busy day on the farm  but all them good eats are packing on the pounds

Cool Mom 06-15-2003 08:49 AM

Pam, did you say the Vancouver Farmer was an adorable nut??! Methinks she is too, and she is having way too much fun with her new camera! Cathy -- only you! Emily, need to check out your new pics -- next stop! In a hurry -- need to take a shower -- I look like the critter at our farmer's side :).

Cool Mom 06-15-2003 08:53 AM

Emily -- Ian is getting so big, and you can tell the boys just love their little bro! He looks like he's going to be a tall one too! Thanks for sharing -- now I am off to showerville! T

Good morning gals,

Just popping in to say hi. Kind of another busy day ahead. Yesterday was fun...after we got the chores done we went out for dinner and then rented a movie which is something we haven't done in ages. Even the lady at Blockbuster commented on that fact while she smiled at us.

Emily the pics of the boys are fantastic. My heavens Brendan and Connor have grown so much and Ian is catching up right along with them. They're beautiful boys Em but then again coming from you and Jim how could they not be eh?

Terry, enjoy your shower and your Sunday and Cathy, wake up :) Just kidding I know it's only 7:30 in B.C.

Have a great day all and hi to all who've not checked in yet.

Pam

Good Morning Ladies

Em..the pics are great :D how do you keep the boys so clean? were the pics taken by a professional photographer? because they are sooooo goooood :) and the setting is lovely.

T..you're right i am having fun with my camera  and i could'nt resist doing that after all that talk of farmers  how is SBD going btw? are you still getting used to your new sight? hope this does'nt mean you'll have to re-decorate  i'm just visualising you walking around the house saying "hmmm, i don't like the colour of that!" I'm thinking of selling a car on Ebay and i'm trying to figure out all the fees..they seem to have one for everything!
Deck time..have a Nice relaxing Sunday Everyone.

jelynn 06-15-2003 08:52 PM

Happy Sunday everyone-
We had enjoyable Father's Day. I made JIm lasagna and pecan pie- both favorites of his (and the pecan pie is safe for me 'cuz I know I won't eat the whole thing, whereas the lime cheesecake I wanted to make would have been much more dangerous- lol)

Anyway...thanks for looking at the pics. No Cat, the girl who took them is far from professional- just likes doing it and has a *really* nice camera. And about the boys being clean...LOL- I put them in those clothes *right* before we left the house.

Pam- I'm jealous of your Spaghetti Factory dinner!! I love it (good thing we don't have one!) I always get the spaghetti with half meat sauce and half mithizra and butter. YUM. May have to come visit you this summer!!

Terry- I'm curious about SBD too- have you weighed again?? All the cravings for carbs gone?

I'm going to try to post a pic...if it doesn't work I'll play more with the sizing when I have more time.

cat90 06-16-2003 02:33 PM

Hi Ladies,
Theres one in Victoria too Emily :T although i've never been..i'm a steak and potato kinda girl not spaghetti and stuff :p go on tell me what i'm missing now  if i had a dollar for everytime someone has said that to me. I take it the boys did'nt look like that an hour after the pic was taken

Well, time is marching on and i promised myself that i would do some exercise today so i'll catch ya later

Cool Mom 06-17-2003 08:54 AM

Good Morning Ladies!

Hope today finds everyone well -- someone stole my sunshine again! :dizzy: Overcast but the afternoon should be better.

Chris had friends over yesterday (half day of school) and I couldn't pry them off the computer to post. Some were on the computer, some playing basketball in the driveway, some playing video games -- wait until your boys grow up, Em! Actually, I am glad this such a hang out zone then I know what he's upto and with whom. Just need to have a lot of food and Gator Ade on hand!

Well, my first two weeks of SBD are over -- Phase One -- and I lost 9 lbs as of this morning's weigh-in. I was so shocked because I really blew it Father's Day. During Phase Two you start to add good carbs back in, and like I was telling someone else, there's a glass of wine and a bowl of oatmeal with my name on it! :D

Emily, happy to hear that Jim had a great Father's Day -- perfect meal in my book -- I'll eat Cathy's share! And, I love pecan pie -- orgasmic!

OK, ladies, time to get a move on. Russ is going crazy buying bird feeders and bird houses (2 of each last night) so it's my job to tell him where I want them today. Can't wait to get back to work -- can't drive with my contact yet as the perscription is so off and my perception is not good (as in crash!:yikes: ).

Have a great Tuesday and I'll check back in later .... :)

Cool Mom 06-17-2003 01:14 PM

Where is you guys today??!! The sun is shining and I want to play :).

cat90 06-17-2003 01:15 PM

Wow :yikes: Terry..i'm totally IMPRESSED with your weightloss :bravo: :cp: that is fantastic..WELL DONE!!
I think i stole your sunshine  cos its here for the foreseeable future ;)

I got my butt into gear yesterday and walked/jogged 1 mile..did 10 mins of weights and 20 mins of Pilates :D about time is'nt it?
I'm going to get up there this morning BEFORE noon and get it over with i just don't like doing it in the afternoon  for some reason i lose my ooomph  I still have to do better with eating so i think i may have to think about SBD..BBL

cat90 06-17-2003 01:17 PM

I'm Here..I'm Here..I just posted :hyper:

Cool Mom 06-17-2003 01:19 PM

Cool Mom 06-17-2003 01:20 PM

Be still, my evil mind!

cat90 06-17-2003 01:56 PM

I can read you like a book Terry! i was going to be more precise about WHAT i was going up to do but i thought you'll know what i mean :s:  it seems i DO need to be more precise.
