Congrats on the weightloss T :cp: it looks like you have found the plan for you :bravo: i received an email from Dietwatch yesterday and they too are talking about SBD although oddly enough she is not singing its praises but pointing out the pro's and con's..she compares it to Atkins and say's that it induces ketosis too..you may find it an interesting read :dizzy:

I'm multi-tasking today as well, just loaded up the old machine and i'm going to start on the top floor (our room) and work my way down..it'll be a bit of a slow process because i got up for a pee in the small hours and stubbed my toe on the old metal devil  no wonder i hate it! so i now have a very tender..swollen and black toe...don't think i can put my weight on it to treadmill today :( so i'll have to try something else. My first day OP was a success yesterday :cp: and so far so good today. It will be interesting to see if i show a loss this week just by making that small change..i guess the next step will be to try and drink water :p would much rather drink tea but i'll try and get a couple of pints down me.

Congrats on the weightloss Carol :)

The day is flying by..it always does when you're surfing the net from 9am

Good evening ladies,,

Just a note here Cathy,,, I have read and my doc also said, that tea is ok.. its a liquid without calories,, and as long as you don't load it with sugar etc. it counts as liquid... so it don't always have to be just water....I find I can get in my liquid that way and its still working.. I am down another pound and the scale is creeping down.... I am anxiously waiting till it goes under 200...so close... yet so far away...

Worked in the office all day today,, did get alot accomplished but didn't even put a dent in all I have to do.. having a house full on Friday... about 25 for our bbq...going out to breakfast tomorrow and then shopping. Getting lots of fresh veggies, so I can nibble at the bbq and stay on top of things.

Well, just wanted to get in my 2 cents worth..take care and will check in tomorrow.

Well, we have been playing non-stop for 4 days and it's been great! Had a 1st birthday party for my friend's son on Sat. night. Had a really good spinach salad that night...just spinach, sliced strawberries and banana, sugared pecans and a poppy seed dressing. *Almost* as good as banana split!
Sunday we had friends over for dinner and grilled.
Yesterday Jim took the day off and we went to some neighbors to play in the water and ordered pizza (a 22 inch, no less!)
Today is Canada Day and we went to our town's "party in the park"- all sorts of stuff for the kids and live music. Then we went to "Finding Nemo" Came home and grilled hot-dogs...
I'm wasted- don't think we'll be staying up for the fireworks since they don't even start until 11:15.

Jim is putting the boys to bed. Ian is being so great. Going down awake and falling asleep and more often than not is having a 8-9 stretch these days! I feel so spoiled! (But also had to wait for a 3rd baby to spoil me so maybe I deserve it!)

I've been revisiting some New Years Resolutions as it is the official half-way mark. Time to get serious about this weight thing. Especially if I get a wild hair to have another baby- which yes I am contemplating doing sooner than later to just have it done! Reserve the right to change my mind though! Have a lot of goals and tomorrow is the start day! Great quote : "A year from now you'll wish you had started today" So today (er, tomorrow rather, it is!! :) )

Well, have a great night and I'll be back tomorrow.
Great job Terry and Carol on your losses! You guys are doing great. And Cat, meant to tell you- you are a BABE! No worries there, hon :)

G'night!zzzz
Emily

Morning Ladies :)

Sounds like everyone is keeping out of trouble.

Emily, what a whirlwind of a social schedule you had. BTW, that salad sounds awesome -- did she make her own dressing?? I know Marie's has a bottled poppy seed version but don't know how good it is. And, how did she sugar the pecans?? Inquiring minds want to know!

So, another little one maybe in your plans - that's exciting to hear! Jim sounds like he gives you a lot of support with the children so I am sure that will make it so much easier with 4. And, if the 4th is as good as Ian ... you will have it made in the shade!

Morning Dahlia and Cathy and Carol :) .

Carol, I have never heard you so psyched about weight loss -- you are doing just great so keep it up! And, so close to breaking the 200 mark --- I'm almost there too so let's encourage each other as that's a biggie!

Dahlia, hosting 25 for a BBQ would send me into therapy -- God bless you! I can handle a few couples and that's about it. I remember a WW leader telling us that any decaffinated beverage can count as a "water." Enjoy all your prep work for the party!

Cathy -- I will definitely check out that article you mentioned on Dietwatch as Agatston addresses ketosis quite a bit on the SBD site. Everyone has different eating habits and lifestyles and they just have to find the right plan that fits into their own personal pattern. Right now I like the idea of not counting points and watching portion size. I am really a Weight Watcher at heart though and foresee myself back on their plan but this time around all my food choices won't be so carb-heavy.

Excellent job on staying OP yesterday -- you can do it, girlfriend!!

Well, time to vacumm and then get to my paperwork. I just heard the weather report and it looks like the Fourth of July will be hot and sunny -- the previous report said cloudy and rainy so I like this one better! No major plans as of yet . Saturday is Russ' birthday so we're going out to dinner with another couple to celebrate.

Happy Wednesday everyone :) :) :) .

Cathy -- just heard that Vancouver is getting the winter olympics in 2010 -- we all should be at goal by then!

Are you sure T?

Morning Ladies,
Terry, are you sure we'll be at goal by then? :s: how long have we been at it? 2.5yrs????

Day 2 was successful :cp: had another diet pop at "beer time" last night..hubby asked me if i was having a beer and i replied "no..none until friday" it makes us sound like we should be in A.A does'nt it? but we're not that bad..honestly.
Hubby is a Welder so you can imagine how thirsty he is after spending the day welding in the hot sun so he looks forward to an ice cold one after work..and i have some with him..just to be sociable..of course ;) it has'nt bothered me one bit having a diet pop..i'm glad i decided to do it because i find i don't have a problem sticking with my plan now..if i have a beer i will grab anything easy to eat..chips..peanuts..biscuits :dizzy: it really is true about it affecting your appetite not to mention your choices.

So there are 3 of you..Terry,Carol and Dahlia all ready to break through the 200lbs barrier..would'nt it be great if you all did it together :cp: i'm excited for you all.

I stepped on the scale this morning and it registered a gain  but i won't let HIM phase me because i know i've been really good so i'll let HIM stew until friday and then he can show me a loss.

Off for my third cuppa of the day (no milk or sugar) have a great day ladies!
