MORNING CHICKS.

ANOTHER QUIET NIGHT SO IT SHOULD BE A SHORT MORNING.
JUST HAVE A FEW JOBS TO HAND OUT AND I WILL BE DONE.
AFTER OUR STORM, I WENT OUTSIDE BUT THE HUMIDITY IS JUST TOO MUCH.
I'VE NEVER SPENT SO MUCH TIME INDOORS DURINGA SUMMER.
EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING
I WAS THINKING LAST NIGHT ABOUT TRADER JOE'S ON THURSDAY.
NOT SURE WHY I AM GOING. THERE AREN'T A LOT OF SOFT "ALREADY PREPARED" FOODS THERE.
I'LL THINK ABOUT IT.
HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE

MICHELLE.....DON'T YOU LOVE EARLY MORNING WHEN OTHERS ARE ASLEEP.
I LIKE "SNEAKING" AROUND AND BEING SILENT DOING WHAT I WANT TO DO. LOL
HOPE THE FAIR WAS NICE AND YOU GOT THE DOWNTIME YOU NEED.
AND I WAS VERY HAPPY TO HEAR YOU HAVE WORK SUPPORT.
TODAY: I SEE IT WAS A GOOD WEEKEND EXCEPT FOR THE SORENESS.
FEEL BETTER TODAY.

ELLEN.....WAVING TO YOU AS YOU SPEED THRU
HAVE A GOOD WEEK.

HAPPY....I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THE SUN WON'T SHINE HERE TILL OCTOBER
I WAS THINKING OF FALL YESTERDAY BECAUSE THERE WAS A SMELL AFTER THE RAIN.
NOT FALLEN LEAVES BUT A STRONG ION SCENT. MORE THAN USUAL.
I NEVER KEW THAT ABOUT LEMON BALM.
BUT I HAVE BEEN CAREFUL NOT TO USE ANYTHING "NEW".
SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING INTERFERES WITH THESE NEW DRUGS TOO?!?!
TOO BAD ABOUT THE LUMBERJACKS...I WAS ANTICIPATING A GOOD REVIEW
GUESS I BETTER HOLD ON TO MY FIREMEN THEN

LAURA....HOPE YOU HAD SWEET DREAMS TOO.
THE WEEKEND SOUNDED VERY NICE.
HOPE ITHE TUSH FEELS OK TODAY! HAVE A GREAT WEEK.

CEEJAY....SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE UTI & THAT IT WAS A MIGRAINE.
FEEL BETTER AND HOPE THE DR CAN HELP OUT

Morning all.

Mel - Sounds like the weekend ended better than it started. Too bad the weather won't cooperate. Tush still sore but that's ok because it was expected anyway.

Shad- Did you get a satisfactory amount done this weekend? Id be playning the couch potato if it were me. Weeds...hope you don't let them irk you too much.

Happy - Sorry you're having computer problems, and expensive ones at that. And it's a big disappointment tending to a garden only to have something wreck it like those bugs are doing to your tomatoes. Hope the spray helps. Ouch on the med bills.

Michelle- sounds like a nice weekend (except for the soreness). Bet you can't wait for your insurance to kick in.

Ceejay- So sorry to hear the headache sent you to the ER! I sure hope you don't have that happen again.

Annie- hope the brickyard didn't cause any fires this weekend! It would have been super to meet up with you but we didn't go very far south at all. didn't stop me & bf from complaining about the drive though....

Ellen- hope work picked up for you. Do you just sit there and think of all the stuff you could be doing at home, LOL.??!!

Hellos to Patty & Java.

On the train, have to put on some makeup now. . Toodles

Is it Friday yet? SHeesh......

Yesterday was spent outside. The couple of little rains was just enough to make the grass turn slightly green and grow enough to aggreviate me. So I cut the lawn yesterday. Also painted the cover over the fire pit. Laid in my lil pool for about an hour. Fixed teriyaki chicken and rostissed a zucchini in my little rotisserie oven. Oh how funny, sitting here eating cherry tomatos from Amy's garden and it just squirted out all over my hand and keyboard. That was real fun to clean up. Curtis painted the trim around the garage and post on porch.

Man I tell you when I do sleep I have been having the strangest dreams. I dreamed I was starring in a porn film with my exhusband, no that was more like a nightmare. I never did take my clothes off cause I kept saying my body was just too gross for that. lol

LAURA...I keep having the song go through my mind when you say something about the train....My baby takes the morning train, he works from 9 to 5 then comes back again....We should meet halfway somewhere between here and Chicago.

MELLIE...you are getting drenched with rain and we are begging for it. Just doesn't seem fair. It is hard to think of soft foods when we like so many other foods. Blah! I thought about you this morning too as I was in the loo 3 times before I came to work...hmmmm, we have a connection???? lol

CHELLE...glad the new job is going well and you like it so far. AMEN. Our state fair start this coming Friday. I haven't been to the state fair in 27 years. I just do not have the desire. It is way too expensive IMO, that is the main reason I don't go. Pluse the heat. Glad you all had a good time and your back is feeling better today...

CEEG...glad you had your headache checked out. When a headache goes for more than a few days with no relief, it is definitely something to have checked out. How are you feeling today? Any better? Hugs sista.

HAPPY...every time I see you avatar I want some melon. Some I don't have to clean, it doesn't have to be balled, it can just be squares or chunks. lol Sounds like the stinkin worms are taking over your tomatos. Tomato worms are just plain gross looking and ugly. Sorta scary looking.

SHADDIE...glad you made it home and received the package for the wee one. Next week you get to meet lil Sophie. How exciting for you. Don't work to hard in the yard.

ELLEN...I always said that about running around doing things all the time, I should be skinny. But NOOOOO.

Hi to Patty.

Have a great day/night all.

Loves and hugs.

Good morning chicks,

I have some outside stuff to do so of course it's going to rain. Or at least it looks like it's just waiting for me to step out the door and get just down the road! Hummingbirds are swooping and swarming all over the place. Last night there were clouds of dragonflies all over the yard and we haven't seen them in a while. L.B. has "left the nest" and decided to run with the big bunnies. That's good, I never wanted it to get dependent on us.

I am enjoying the berries I picked. The ones I froze turned out good - glad my cousin said to freeze them in a single layer - I'm thinking maybe I might go up one more time in a few weeks because 9 pounds didn't last all that much actually. I will make sure I get up in time for strawberry season next year. With the overcast sky and slightly cool temps it's reminding me of autumn already. Since we haven't even hit August - I'm saying that's too SOON. It looks like my problem with the tomatoes is due to over watering. DH and I have disagreed about the amount of watering needed - he says every day, I say every few days. Turns out over watering is causing blossom end rot and today I finally got evidence that it's slugs that are eating the tomatoes, not worms. Good news is both problems can be treated organically.

Annie - I'm liking the grape tomatoes over the cherries because they are meatier and less prone to exploding when you bite them. Now I have Sheena Easton on the brain - thanks for that! As for the porno films - I can't say because I don't watch them but I have to believe it's like stripper clubs - most of the people in them don't have perfect bodies, I guess the people watching are more interested in the actions over the person themselves. Still kind of disconcerting that the dream was about your ex instead of C which would have gone from nightmare to "oooh I don't want to wake up yet"

Laura - I don't blame you for complaining about driving - with all the nuts on the road I was starting to do everything I could to avoid being on the expressways too. Here we have to go farther to get to places but it's so much nicer with the open roads and the few people we have in a rush we can easily just let them pass us by.

Mel - I love your new avatar! You have such cute stuff - I meant to say I liked the pool party one also. Funny you complain about being cooped up in the house. In your case it's the rain keeping you in, out in the midwest everyone is complaining about the heat making them hide. As for the hot bodies, I don't think you can beat NY Fireman so stick with the best kid

Michelle - is the state fair down your way? We have our county fair in a couple of weeks - might check that out. Glad the job is going well and that you were able to get out and actually have a little you time this weekend.

Ceejay - I'd agree with Annie that a migraine for several days needs to be looked at. Sorry to hear you are getting hit at "both ends". Hope you can get some relief.

Shad - hope you had some time to relax on the weekend. Guess you are getting ready for your trip to see the new baby. Guess I am once again woefully behind in getting a gift not sure I can get something to you in a week. When are you leaving?

Hellos to Patty, Java and Ellen. There's an equal mix of sun and clouds so I think I'll actually make an attempt to get out and into town.

See yahs

Love the kitten graphic. There's nothing wrong in going for a ride to get out of a rut.

Happy
You keep talking about autumn and we're still in the throws of summer. I called my supervisor to tell him that I'd be back at work tomorrow and asked if I'd washed my vehicle. Told him know but I was seriously considering doing a rain dance. It's a mere 102 today.

Annie
I have a rotisserie oven but haven't tried that part of it yet. My doctor this morning gave me some stronger antibiotics and stronger analgesics for the headache. I'm still having them just not as bad. I can function.

Michelle
Glad that you enjoyed the fair.

Laura,
Glad you enjoyed the brief visit.

----------
My visit to the doctor this morning was good. Explained about the E.R. visit and showed him the diagnosis sheet. He then wanted to see the med's that the E.R. doctor gave me. Told me those were not strong enough for a UTI. So he wrote out a rx for leaviquin, asked for a got a b12 injection, also gave me a script for the migraines. I'm still not sure where the migraines were coming from. It was time for a blood draw also.

Last day of work. Yeehaa. The guys are taking me out to dinner tonight, we are going to Cha Cha Char which is a top range steakhouse on the river. They asked me to pick the venue and while they were there, I went looking for things like Japanese (small and delicate an oh so not mining blokes) and then I started to look at French - delicacies such as snails (so not mining blokes) I could see them looking at each other, so I then went for the top of the range - michelin stars and chefs hats - small meals, high prices - so not mining blokes. My little joke. They will find out when we get there. I bet they are shaking in their shoes. The BigT would have trouble trying to figure out which fork to use. And after a Japanese, I could see the BigT and the BigD going to McD for a good feed!

Anyway better go see what needs to be done before dinner time and maybe I will be back to fill in the personals.

Mel - chat would be fun. Any day from tomorrow to my Saturday will be fine.

Morning all. Just a quick howdy-do today. I had to go to the sec. of state office before work to get our license plate renewal sticker today. Of course I left it til the last day when I could have renewed it online. Duh. Nice that the office is only a few blocks from work. And no waiting at that time of day!

Okay, back to work. Everyone have a great day/evening.

Morning all
First day of freedom and I am dealing with morons and idiots. I had to ring my energy provider to give and get some information about my account but find that it is transferred to my sons name and they won't discuss it with me.

So I wrote them a complaint letter on the website. Went something like this:

The electricity bill arrived in my box this week along with a letter (in a separate envelope) telling me that you can't get access to read my meter.

I rang the number on the letter 13 24 61 and got hold of one of your operators who tells me he cannot discuss my bill with me because the account is in my sons name.

Now quite when this change of householder came about I can't say, but up until now I have had no problems discussing MY bill with electricity providers. I work away from home a lot and my son looks after the house and takes care of maintenance and lets me know about due bills etc. while I am away. I suspect that someone has taken the liberty of changing the name of the householder somewhere along the line. I shall check this out with my son because he should not have been able to change this without my permission.

I see from the blurb that came with my bill that you feel quite free discussing my information with contractors such as mail houses, data processing analysts, debt collection agencies and other energy retailers and you have no problem bombarding me with advertising and offers, but you can't discuss my bill with me.

I would like to have my details added back onto the householder information since this is my house and my bill theoretically. I pay it, if you check back you will note that although I am not the householder according to Origin, it is my name and my money that pays this bill, on time and usually without complaint.

As for the no access, we have a problem here with people who think they are entitled to help themselves to our goods and chattels, therefore we have a fence with a remote controlled gate. Now if only the meter reader would use the communicator when he sees a car in the drive, life would be a whole lot easier. Barring that, I would ask that we set a date for the meter reader to come to the house, preferably a Monday and within a given period of time and there will be someone here to meet with him.

But then again you might just disregard this letter since I am apparently not the householder.

Grrr

Anyway, I am now onto the next item on my list. Hope I have better luck with this one. Then I am off down the garden to eat worms or something.

I'll be back later when I get over bureaucracy and officialdom.

Hi Ladies -

Quick check in....my co-worker on the Information Technology (IT)/web side is coming to set up my computer today. After being in a Catch 22 for two weeks because I was given Windows 7 due to some applications I need to run; however, the desktop support team doesn't support Windows 7, so they can't/won't install the applications I need. I would install them myself if I had admin rights, but those are NOT granted without a great deal of hoop jumping and time. So there it is. Since I am part of two teams: Marketing and IT, the IT gang is helping me get everything installed; however, desktop support will not support me after that - I have to maintain my own computer, which shouldn't be too much of a problem as I have some experience doing that, plus my DH and other friends can help me out. Pretty cool that I might actually be able to get started on my projects!!!

===========
Annie - Glad you had fun with lil man and your DD.

Laura - I had to go to the DMV to renew my drivers license a couple weeks ago (I did it early since I had the time off from work). Luckily, the line wasn't too long.

Shad - I loved the letter you wrote to the electric company! Well done!! I hope they sort things out soon.

Ceejay - I hope you're doing better and headache-free.

Mel - Sounds like you've got headaches of your own with the alarm issues. Hope they get fixed soon.

Happy - Sounds like life up there is going well. Good that LB is running with the big bunnies. State Fair starts tomorrow and runs for about 10 or 11 days. We plan to go twice, and then my friend/website client wants to go with me too...but DH does NOT want to go with her, so I may go an extra time. It's about a 1/2 hour or 45 minute drive from us, but they have busses you can ride there to save the hassle of parking.

Gotta finish getting ready for work. I hope we all have a wonderful day/evening!

Much love,

Good Morning all....

CHELLE....strange desktop support will not support you because of newer software. I thought desktop support was just that. Support. THey need to get educated on the newer software.

HAPPY....have you heard anything on the job interview? Still have my fingers crossed. Makes it hard to type, but you are well worth it.

SHADLET...OMG, I about spit my coffee out reading your complaint letter. I know exactly how you feel. Kind of when I tried to add my son to my bank account. My DD was already on it, I had to get HER signature to allow me to add my son to my account. Now how ridiculous is that?

MELLIE...givem H on the alarms. I should have your job as I don't sleep much at night anyway. haha

CEEG...hope you are feeling better!

ELLEN...kids keepin ya busy?

LAURA...I did the on-line thing for my driver's license this year. Piece of cake.

Heard this morning that Snoop Dogg changed his name to Snoop Lion while visiting Jamaca. Also switched to whatever religion it is down there. My guess is because that religion promotes pot smoking. Rastafarian is the religion, I believe.

Tomorrow is C and I's anniversary of our first date. We are going to dinner tonight as we are babysitting lil man tomorrow nite.

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday...hugs

Annie - Rastafarian is the religion in Jamaica. And its followers typically smoke pot, but I don't know if its required. LOL. I like some of snoop doggs raps...the nonviolent stuff, and am intrigued that he's switching to reggae. I like reggae, as I like most music. Happy anniversary Annie!
