Good evening my worldlie sistas....

What a day at work after being off for 5 days....don't relish tomorrow either. Oh well, I am working and it is a job.....get ready for the next phase of my job....re-organization AGAIN...my job is in jeopardy...I mean really if it were not for mishap..or mayhem...I would NOT know how to live....lol....it is all good.

Went by and saw the babe tonight...he was sleeping peacefully so I did not pick him up...gave him a few kisses and was on my way....it is amazing the love you have for your children...however the love for your grandchildren is even greater...

Also stopped by dad's. He got 5 lbs of shredded cheddar and 5 lbs of blue cheese and wanted to share with me....barely gave me a small sandwich bag with some of each....lol...God love him...that is a major step in the right direction as before he would of been very selfish and not shared.

Beaker food tonight (experiment in the lab, lol)...rice mixed with cheese, broccoli, water..then chicken place on top with cheese on it, covered with foil and baked. I am running out of ideas.

I am pretty sure Curtis loves me to no end. He cleaned out my garage this past weekend...what a guy...he is such a great friend, fun, um..and lover...and is very handy around the house...Think I might have to keep this one....if there is a wedding...very far off...how many of you worldlies would attend??

CHELLE...God love you, my sister friend. I certainly hope all you are doing will bring the final pain free life...I continue to pray for you and your health, you worry me. Glad you are enjoying DMIL and that DH will get that room emptied out for the Christmas directions.

SHADDIE....I know what you mean about PP. Management thinks if you put bullet points by it then it is all "shortened"...yeah, right...100 slides and a million bullet points...NOT....I feel your pain sister...it is a daily struggle. Glad you get a half day to enjoy at home "working"...

CEEJAY...Wow, snow in Arkansas...isn't that a bit unusual??? The day with the family went great...just wish we had more time, but grateful for what time we do have together....

MELLIE...um...I think your eyes fail you sweetness....I have not a soreness at any site and by golly....I DO NOT HAVE A DH...and not looking to have one any time soon...lol lol,

HAPPY...are you coming out from under the boxes?? My goodness, even with getting rid of stuff, I know I always wish I got rid of more...better you than me...I certainly do NOT want to go through the move hassles.

LAURA...I love lazy weekends...I think I am more than ready for one or even two....what book are you reading for club???

Oh, my oven is beeping, the beaker food is ready..

Much love and many hugs.

I WAS JUST TYPING A POST ABOUT YESTERDAY AND THEN I HAD A THOUGHT.
I AM NOT GOING TO LET THE PEOPLE FROM MONDAY SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF MY TUESDAY.
SO I DELETED IT AND I'M STARTING FRESH.................
THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT MONDAY WAS GETTING MY EXTRA CHECK.AND EVEN THAT CAME WITH A BIT OF DRAMA ATTACHED.

JEN IS COMING WITH ME TO TRADER JOE'S ON THURSDAY.
SHE WANTS TO SEE HOW THE STORE IS LAID OUT & WHERE THE THINGS I LIKE ARE LOCATED.
JUST IN CASE I CAN'T GET THERE IN THE WINTER.
I NEED A SHOWER AND MAYBE SOME JAMMIES.
NOT FEELING LIKE GETTING DRESSED TODAY.
IHOPE YOU ALL HAVE A HAPPY TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY.

SHAD.......I AM JUST THINKING TOO THAT MAYBE WE CAN SET A DATE TO CHAT LATER IN THE MONTH BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR NZ .
I CAN SEE WHERE IT WOULD BE BETTER TO HAVE ACTUAL PRINTED PAGES TO LAY OUT ON THE FLOOR.
LOOKING AT THE PC ALL DAY FOR STUFF MUST BE TIRING ON THE EYEBALLS.
I CAN SEE JANUARY GEARING UP FOR A GUNG HO PUSH.
BETTER REST UP IN NZ!!!

CEEJAY......SNOW?!?!?! IT ALWAYS SEEMS LIKE YOU AND WEST VIRGINIA GET YOUR WINTER'S STARTED BEFORE WE DO....
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF OUR FREAKY STORM THIS YEAR.
STAY WARM AND COZY!!
I'LL SEND YOU SOME OF OUR GOOD LOOKING MEN FROM HERE.
SOME OF THEM ARE ALMOST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

NICHELLE... I DON'T THINK YOU'RE NUTSA AT ALL ABOUT THE OTHER SIDE.
A GALS GOTTA DO WHAT A GALS GOTTA DO.
HOPE YOU WILL PASS THE 2 TESTS WITH FLYINGCOLORS AND WILL KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED. FEEL BETTER SOON

ANNIE....I MUST HAVE WRITTEN YOU NAME WHILE "TALKING" TO MiCHELLE
TOO FUNNY. ANYWAY....JUST CHALK IT UP TO OLD AGE.
YOU MADE ME LAUGH WITH DAD AND THE CHEESES. I SEE A LOT OF THAT HERE.
SOMETIMES I AM BEGINNING TO SEE THE SIGNS OF IT IN MYSELF TOO
GLAD YOU GOT TO SEE JAKE AND KISSES TOO.
HOPE THE JOB WON'T BE TOO BIG A MESS AND GOOD LUCK THERE.
VERY HAPPY FOR YOU AND CURTIS. I CANNOPT SAY THAT ENOUGH.
WARMS MY HEART TO SEE YOU THIS HAPPY

Good morning ladies -

We're supposed to be getting a rain/snow mix today, which is better than all snow. From the looks of the forecast, Indiana and Michigan are supposed to get a fair bit of snow...along with the southern states (go figure, huh?). I just hope the roads don't become really icy as can happen with a rain/snow mix. Weather and road conditions permitting, I'm hoping to go shopping after work...or if not today then tomorrow. There's a 50% off sale, and with the additional discounts (good today and tomorrow), I get 50% off the sale prices. Not bad, eh?

***************

Shad - I did go shopping on Black Friday, but I was too tired to head out at midnight (which was when most of the problems happened)...so DMIL and I went shopping at 6 am on Friday. The stores weren't crowded at that time. I guess all the crazies had moved on to other stores or gone home and to bed. You're right, PowerPoint should not be used for a manual.

Ceejay - Sorry to hear about all the snow you're getting. Drive safely. And I hope you don't have to shovel your driveway.

Annie - Another re-org? That sucks! Saying lots of prayers for you and your job to be safe. Your life is so full of happiness now...I just want it to stay that way because you deserve all the love, happiness and security in the world. So nice of dad to share with you...even if it is just a little bit. If there is a wedding in your future, I will definitely be there!! I appreciate the prayers, but please don't worry. It's all good with me.

Mel - I'm so glad you're starting fresh today. It's such a waste to carry over yesterday's problems/issues/annoyances to today...because then not only have they ruined one day, they're ruining two days. I'm so glad you got the extra check yesterday...even if it came with drama. So nice that Jen is going to TJ's with you. Stay warm and cozy in your jammies. Curl up with a blanket and watch movies, my dear sister.

Gotta get back to it.

Much love and many hugs,

Morning all. Train is late, so I'll just post a quickie before it arrives. It's very windy today & a power line fell across the tracks just after our first stop, hence the delay.

I did my cardio yesterday, and got the pillows & a load of throw rugs done at the laundromat. Then came lunch & a dogwalk. Did some Internet browsing, but only bought one thing- for myself! Margaret Richard's newest DVD, which was a preorder - still being edited. Most of my shopping is just gift cards anyway.

Okay, gonna get this posted. Happy Tues/ Wed to all!

Wow, more re-organization. At least you have a license now. That should account for something. I like the chicken broccoli recipe. Will try it this week end.

Mel
Life was going to well and then more drama. ugh. Stay upstairs and let them rant away in the office.

Michelle
The road conditions here were worse last night than this morning. We had huge flakes of snow yesterday and it was heavy. It fell so fast that it didn't have time to melt on the grass and roof's. I had to clean off my car before I could leave to go home.
Glad you are feeling better.

Laura
Don't you love piddle around day's.

Shad
Your half days are almost a full work day. Enjoy your vacation.

Happu
Where are you? Still unpacking boxes?

Good morning ladies,

We have to run to the Department of Motor Vehicles in the next town an hour away to change out our drivers licenses and car license plates. Don't want to wait until the first of the month on Thursday so it was a pretty hurry hurry decision. Barely had time to finish the coffee.

Will be back later to post...

Laura - Scary that the wind is taking down power lines! Good for you for getting so much accomplished yesterday! Well done! So nice that you bought yourself a Christmas gift. So far, I've only bought one thing for myself...a pair of slippers.

Ceejay - I'm glad you got home safe. I hope the roads are clear today.

Annie - Ceejay brought up a good point that now that you have your license, hopefully that will help keep your job safe.

Mel - I forgot to ask...How are the toes? Sending you healing hugs.

Safe travels to all those affected by the current wave of storms hitting the south and the midwest. And Mel, if any storms come your way (weather storms or ranting storms), just stay the heck outta their way!

Morning all,

Run out of work again - and it is only 8.00am. What am I going to do with the next 4 hours? Hang Christmas decorations? Yeah right!
By the way, while I think of it, there was a vicar on the radio yesterday who said that the 1st day of Advent has now passed so it is now okay for the radio jocks to play Christmas Carols and mention Christmas. So feel free.

Annie - 'Beaker food' I call it test kitchen cooking - slosh it in and wait for the miracle. Sometimes it is really good - problem is, I cant always remember what I put in it!
If there is a wedding into the future, send me an invite at least 9 months before the day so I can get saved up and buy you a present and an air ticket or two. Hope you intend to spend the honeymoon downunder???

Ceejay - snow in the south? Have fun with that.

Mel - Rest up in NZ - not bloody likely. I have places to go, people to see, things to do. Including no doubt some Christmas shopping. Glad to hear that you got the check - it will be put to good use I suspect.
I leave for NZ on 14th December - just two more weeks. Let me know which day you want to chat and I will be there.

Michelle - hope the shopping goes okay. Sounds like some good discounts. I've got too much stuff already so no shopping for me until some of it wends its way out of the door. Apart from clothes and food, nothing comes in without something going out. I have a whole spare room of things to chuck already, but they have to be sorted first.

Laura - must be very windy if the power lines are coming down. How annoying having to wait for the train for a length of time. Must admit, ours have been pretty good lately - touch wood.

Happy - you must have found the birth certificates and such since you are off to change things. Look forward to hearing from you later.

Right, best go patrol the office and see if anyone has something for me to do. Otherwise I might just go home early. Yikes, someone has just put up a Christmas tree. Now I really do think I will go home. Grinch, Scrooge, Bah humbug

Good Evening/Morning....this is still weird posting in the evening...but I suppose I shall get used to it....

I have to work my 4 hour shift, Thursday night at CVS...yuck...I just miss coming home, flopping on my sweats and slippers, making dinner then relaxing with Curtis...It is so strange, but I miss him, as he does me, during the day and the evening is so anticipated.....

MELLIE....wtg on not letting your day steal your joy and getting on and past the bullcheet...kudos to that.

Chelle...yeah our weather is sucking right now....so far it is snowing like crazy but NOT sticking..might be a different story by morning. Thanks for all the good wishes in my life..I trulty feel VERY blessed...

LAURA...good on you for exercising...much more than I can say for myself.

CEEJAY...I don't know how much my license will help me during the re-org...my boss that I previously reported to is no longer my boss...I now have an idiot that was military and more interested in arrival time, departure time. Blah

SHADDIE...yik...work done by 8 am....nothing like entertaining yourself for 6 hours....

HAPPY....lots of running for a newly being located...I think you have 6 mos to get the new license....at least in Indiana you do.....

Not much to report...pretty boring...taking dinner over to sissy's tomorrow night...I told her I would supply dinner once a week with one day notice...she suggested Wednesday's cause that is the day she HAS to make dinner...they have Ainsley (Chris's daughter) on Wednesdays....thanks for making me on the line with stuff a 6 year old likes....NOT, eat what I bring or starve!

I was seriously stressing about the rest of the week and finances...and low and behold...Curtis gave me some $$$$. So far, he has contributed EVERY week! He treats me like no one has ever treated me....I do love it.

Gotta work on getting dinner on the table...not that he EXPECTS it as he always says, "let me cook tonight". He will not be home till 7 pm tonight, but wants to cook...really? I think I will start it and let him help set the table when he gets home.

Gotta get busy on dinner

Love and hugs.

Shad
I fully understand the sentiments of decorating for Christmas. However, I did pull out my Christmas decorations Friday and am going to put out a few things.

Annie
Things will work out at work. Enjoy your time with Sissy tonight.

Absolutely nothing going on today. I'm glad.
My throat is getting sore but I'm bound and determined not to go to the doctor this week. I really don't want to go to Paragould this week end. But I need to take some more mulch to my uncle's and get rid of it. I'm going to just start going once a month. Would you believe that I have 7100 miles on my car already.

Morning all. Another quick hello. The train I usually take had mechanical problems, so another train picked us up. It arrived late and full. I had to stand all the way downtown. It sucked. I would much rather have had a repeat of yesterday - I was on the train sitting in a seat when it was stopped due to the downed power lines. Oh well, I'm here, so, self, stop complaining.

Nothing much else to report. Didn't do much of anything last night. Such a sloth, I swear. But it's a good sign that the clutter around the house is starting to drive me nuts. A cleanup is in the offing.

Tonight, however, is a hair appointment. Ugh. Sitting around with a wet head of color. Oh well, must be done.

Today's payday, so that's nice. Need to put aside $$ for the giganto homeowner's insurance bill that came in the mail the other day. Increase of 20+%!! Bf phoned the agent and he is going to swing by this week and "survey" our property and review our coverage and see what can be done. He better do something substantial - this increase is huge and I'm totally motivated to seek other quotes. The current policy expires at the end of January, so there's plenty of time.

Okay, back to work. Hopefully there's time for personals tomorrow if the bloody train isn't delayed.

Good morning ladies,

I swear I am more busy than I was when I was working. Of course I wasn't working so hard my last few weeks because no one would give me anything to do so I guess that explains it. I do confess to falling into my old habits of staying up until 1am and then sleeping until 9. Then by the time I have coffee and get ready, half the day is over. Gotta try and change that. Just not sleepy at 11 since I can sleep later.

Went and got my drivers license and license plates yesterday. Left $327 poorer. DH cannot find his birth certificate so he has to do more looking before he can swap his out. We have 60 days to change them but wanted to change the plates quickly as there are some spots in WI that attract police tickets - most particularly with out of state plates since they know it's an easy fine to collect. We found that out when we were vacationing up here years ago at a friend's cabin. So hence the rush to become a "local". Ugly close up picture for my license. Basically a head shot. Ugh. After that my cousin's wife came with us and we had lunch and did a little shopping - well she did, we just got some floor mats for the house, light bulbs and some Christmas cards. DH wants to decorate our tree outside - it's a perfect Christmas tree but in order to do that, got to find the box with the Christmas lights in it and I think even God would have a hard time with that

Other than that I have some grocery shopping to do and a load or two of laundry. Getting used to this country life. We have a septic system now so I have to be careful how much water I put into the tank - no Saturday marathon of laundry anymore - basically a load or two a day. Also I'm using the dishwasher more. I would like to start on my Christmas cards - mostly to let people know the new address. Just seems like the day fills up quickly.

Ceejay - the snow made for news all around although it looked like it left as quickly as it came. I can easily believe you have so many miles on your car - you do alot of driving, particularly to visit the uncles. Try drinking some hot tea with honey to soothe your throat - sometimes the dry air makes it irritated.

Laura - bummer having to stand on the train. Not sure what is worse - standing or having the aisle seat on a crowded train with everyone bumping and rubbing against you at least you have a layer of padding with the winter coat. Still it's a LONG ride in to be standing all the way. Might want to recheck the home insurance on how much you are insuring the house for - just like taxes - as home values have dropped a bit, you might be over insuring. 20 percent is a HUGE increase - I'd ask them to explain that one. My Mom was talking about the big wind gusts yesterday - as she was telling me I was singing "yo hoe blow the woman down... "

Annie - I'm sorry to hear that things are shaking up at work ... AGAIN. that seems to be the new normal. I hope you can fly under the radar and avoid the fuss. How nice that Curtis volunteers to help with the expenses. I agree that he sounds like a keeper - sometimes it takes a while to find your prince How is Sissy doing with 'Lil Monkey at home? Going to be hard to leave him and go back to work or is she thinking about full time Mommyhood?

Shad - I LOVED the flower pictures you posted the other day. Such pretty colors. I was meaning to ask - with all the flower do you have a lot of pollen and allergy issues like we did down south? I will miss the spring flower color season up here although the autumn colors will be breath taking once again. Sounds like you'll have a nice long visit back in NZ. At least enough time to spend visiting and travelling and not have to cram everything into a 3 day weekend. Are you looking forward to it? And sorry I never signed off on the FB chat the other night - Internet chose to die halfway through our conversation.

Michelle - hope you got some good shopping in 50 percent off of 50 percent off is pretty good! We stopped at Kohls yesterday. My cousin had coupons but I was trying to get into conservative spending mode. It was hard passing by all the Christmas decorations on sale Are you and DH feeling better by now? Sounds like those procedures are quite intense. I feel for you Hope you can get everything you need to done before the insurance changes. I am in a dilema too - we have Blue Cross until the end of the year - then it changes to Cigna for 4 months until we cut back to DH's insurance in May - Blue Cross again. Not sure if I should do anything with the doctors or wait it out. Especially with the insurance crossing over like that. The pains they put us through, eh? How is Doppler doing? Is DMIL all settled in? We're supposed to get a little snow tonight.

Mel - hope you got your mojo back and are not letting the people get to you? How are the toes doing? That's good that Jen learned your shopping routine - it will be helpful for you if conditions are the best for you to travel.

Better finish my coffee and get dressed if I want to get to the store. Have a good one chicks

We got about 3 inches of the white stuff this week but most of it has melted. The picture you posted reminded me of those huge wet flakes. It was fun to watch. Just don't like driving in the stuff.

You made me think about my birth certifcate. I may need to send for a copy as I have no earthly idea where it could be. Thanks for reminding me.
The sun is out today. Makes it feel a lot warmer.
Think my sore throat is a result of the cold snowy weather earlier this week.
