Default hi ladies....

Well, I had a big post the other day and for some odd reason the computer was having a tempertantrum, so it didn't get through. Anyway, here I am again. I have a little time since Josiah is taking morning nap--he has been such a crab lately. Then Josiah and I are off to the hospital to visit a church member and her son. Her son, first grade, has second degree burns on his chest and back. He was playing at home with his younger brother while daddy was boiling water in an electric hot pot thing. Well, kid tripped over cord and now he is in the burn unit. Pray for him and his family if you all remember.

I am ready for Luke to get home. I really admire single parents now. I have had Josiah and Pauline (our 14 yr old fosterdaughter who is playing little games with me ) since Friday. I am ready for a break. Don't know what or IF Luke has anything planned for my bday on Wed. we'll see.

Ok, great news--------------- I weighed myself today and I am back down to 188lbs Lost 2lbs this week. Not sure how as I haven't stuck to the meal plan from ediets, and had some chocolate and what nots. Anyway, I am excited now. I feel like I'll be able to get down some more. My goals for this week:
1. everyday drink 70oz of water
2. circuit toning 4 days/ cardio 2 (we'll slowly work on increasing that)
3. try to stick to my meal plan as much as possible.

Pretty easy isn't it? well, let's hope so.

MikiG---that is great being able to wear your dh's jeans-too funny. I'd never be able to wear Luke's, length would be the problem as I am 2in taller than him He is currently at what my ideal weight should be. You are doing great, quite the encouragement and role model of will power. I don't think I could've been as good as you. Hey, how'd your bday go?
Cyan--you do so great on the calories and all, that is so hard for me, not disciplined enough I guess. Exercising every other day sounds good.

Well, ladies, I need to get off and get somethings done befor the baby wakes up. Have a great day.

Hi everybody!

How is everyone? I hope you're all having a good weekend. Mine was very nice. Spent the day with family yesterday as my now 2 yr old niece and I both have b/days within days of each other. After spending the day at the park with her, friends, and family on a beautiful sunny spring-like day, hubby and I went to a movie, then to a nice motel. ( Courtyard Mariott ) We just ate in the mall....he had Subway and I had bourbon chicken and rice from the ChinaExpress. Didnt overeat but we did have b/day cake at the party earlier.

Today we slept in til 9:00. Checked out of the motel at 11 and headed to Red Lobster where I had the shrimp linguini with alfredo sauce. It was Delicious!! I only ate about half of it as it was a Huge portion. Also had cheese garlic biscuits and Ceasar Salad. I actually wish I had the other half of the pasta now but since we were going shopping before heading home, I couldnt get a take-out. That is probably a good thing tho..I didnt need it for sure!

We shopped the rest of the day and got home around 5. I got a blouse, skirt and a pair of khaki pants with money from my mom. Got home and had more money in a card from my sis so tomorrow I'm going to try to find one more outfit. Phil also told me that he wanted me to buy something for myself from him. I wanted the weekend trip to just be my gift, but he insists so I have to, huh? lol

For the past several months, I have worn Size 20 in pants except for that one pair of 18 jeans I could fit into. Today I bought Khakis exactly like the pair I already had and the 18 fits perfectly. Also fit into the 18 blouse which hasnt happened since the fall of 2001. I normally get 20 or 22 in those. Phil even commented that I'm really starting to slim up. I'm really psyched up about keeping on track!

At work, we each get a bday cake of our choice on whatever day we want it. I never have said yet what kind I wanted because I honestly wish they just wouldnt do it this time since I'm trying so hard not to overdo it. I think what I'm going to do tomorrow is ask if instead of a cake, if I could just have a fruit tray.

Ok, I dont have to be at work until 10 am tomorrow so I promise to get up and get on the AirWalker as soon as the kids get on the school bus. Ya'll hold me to that ok??

Hope you all start the week out right with a healthy- eating, exercising Monday!

Hi ladies,

I had a wonderful weekend!

On saturday I went with my girlfriend to the Degas exhibit at the philly museum and then we went to tea at the Four Seasons. The tea was great, little sandwiches with the crusts off, chocolate dipped strawberries, fine china and great converstion ...we plan on doing a "girlfriend outing" once a month from now on...next month is lunch at a trendy resturant and a pedicure at a spa.

Tonight I got a babysitter and my husband and I went out to dinner at a great Italian place (I had carrot soup and only half of my angel hair veggie pasta dish..took the rest home. I realized that as long as I control portion size I can eat anything I want.. I even skipped the bread basket tonight. Then after dinner we went to a wine bar and had coffee and dessert. I had one forkful of chocolate mousse...I really didn't need more...it felt great to be able to control myself. We ended the evening by going to Borders and reading magazines ..one of our favorite"date" night activities.

Taiwan, Happy Birthday. What are your plans for Wednesday?

Cyan, it sounds like you are really controling your fat grams...good for you!

Miki, that jean story was a hoot. Good for you for fitting in them.

Reina, Lady, Lisa, please post soon and let us know how you are doing.

Looking forward to a very motivated week ahead!

Cyan, it was really nice chatting with you tonite. I always feel like anytime I chat with you ladies, I know you a little better. Be sure and post about how your mom's dr visit goes tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you.

Debee, sounds like you had a really fun weekend. That is a good idea to make it a monthly affair. My sister and I have talked about doing that very thing. Its great to get out with no kids or men occasionally..

Taiwan, my prayers go out for that little boy. I hope he has a speedy recovery. I've always heard that burns are probably the most painful type of accident. I feel for the dad too..Im sure he feels like he's partly to blame. Good for you on the 2lb weightloss!! Way to go! Sorry to hear you're having some problems with the 14 yr old girl...I so admire you for what you do and I'll be praying for that situation also.

Reina, Lady, Cjunk, Lisa...Miss you ladies!!!!

Anyone heard from Betty?? I hope things are ok with her also!!

Heading to bed now....Nite all..

Seems like everyone is so busy lately. Only a few posts per day. I miss all of you who arent able to get in here as much as before. Just want you all to know you're in my thoughts each day even when you havent been able to leave a message here. It was great hearing from you again, LadyRider.

I managed to do 10 measly minutes on the AirWalker this morning. I could barely force myself past 5. I am going to try to do more tonite tho. Foodwise I did ok.

I bought another pair of pants today and 3 blouses with b/day money again. That's going to be it for awhile. Just wanted a few things to start out the warmer weather. Hoping next time I buy, it will be for an even smaller size. Oh, by the way, everything I got was on a bargain rack...I paid $54.00 for all 4 pieces. I love a good deal! lol

Hope to hear from the rest of you soon. Cyan, let us know how the dr appt went.

Angry Good Morning

My Mom's appt went well. The surgeon wants to operate and remove her thyroid and 2 out of 4 parathyroid glands. He feels there is no other option because she has a goiter on her throid gland that could grow and choke her. Also, her parathyroid glands are not working well and causing her to have too much calcium levels in her blood. Since she has alzheimers they will make a rush on her surgery and hopefully have it done in two months time...which in quebec is good...we can wait up to a year to get this operation done! So, I will get a call in about two weeks from the hospital to set up pre surgery exams and bloodwork...and then, we get the surgery date. I hope she is strong enough for the surgery. Apparently they go in through the neck ..so she will have stitches on her neck....so ladies, if you pray...think of my Mom...thanks.

Miki 10 measly minutes is better than no measly minutes! Keep at it...slow but sure...thats the best way to go.

Ok Ladies..back to work

Later

Hello Ladies,
I have missed you all soooooo much
Well, good news is Alex is doing much better and running around the house like a crazy 4 year old.
Bad new is
Flav and I both are really sick now. I came down with the bug on Thursday and by Saturday, I was crawling into my dr's office for some meds.
I can't really say that I am back in the saddle yet with my eating, I just haven't had the energy to think about what is going into my mouth, but I can say, everything edible has made it's way in there!

Ok, it has been a while and I have lots to tell you all,
But I did weigh in Thursday morning, and I didn't lose anything,
BUT I didn't gain anything either. I am steady at 191.8... I don't think there will be much of a loss this week either, but my shopping day is Thursday night, and I am starting fresh after I weigh in on Thursday again.

After a long discussion with my husband, after the past 2 weeks, I told him that I have lost focus on my goal, For the past 6 months, I could get up in the morning and visualize myself much smaller! That was my incentive every day, well, I started to lose that after these past 2 weeks, and I was getting scared. He told me that he refuses to let me give up on something that I have strived so hard for, and you know what, I won't ever repeat this, but, HE IS RIGHT!!!!

I am 5lbs behind on my weekly tracking goals, and I plan on catching up! I will start exercising again, as soon as I feel better, and I plan on getting to 185 or below by my Birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday Miki and Taiwan, what days were they again?? Mine is on the 30th of this month.

From the sound of it, sounds like everyone wasn't feeling too good last week, so I hope you are all doing good.

Lady, I love the new picture, what a dramatic change. YOU SO ROCK! You give me such inspiration!!!

MIki, you are doing so well, you keep up the good work and the jean thing was awesome, wasn't it?

Debee, what willpower you have with Pasta, if that were me, I would have eaten the whole thing. I love pasta, You keep up the good work! Hey, Have you had TastyKake fudge bars. I saw them on the food channel and they are only sold in Philly? They looked sooooo good, and I just have to know how many points they are?

Taiwan, Congrats on the weightloss, how inspiring! You keep up the good work, sounds like E-diets is working for you. I wanted to join but couldn't. Pass on any good recipes that you get.

Cyan, I hope all goes well with your mom and surgery! I am sure things will get better. It is so nice chatting with you daily! I missed that last week. Keep up the good work..

Lisa, I hope you are feeling better, and I hope school isn't killing you there. I admire your determination and pray I can be as determined as you one day.

Ok, I hope I didn't miss anyone, my head is stuffy and my ears keep popping, so I am going to go out and get some air.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi ladies,

Just a quick post before the bus stop...

Lady, you must be so proud of yourself! Your new picture makes you look ten years younger!

Cyan, I will pray for your mom. Remember to take care of yourself during this time and not let the stress get to you.

Reina, please stay motivated I know it is hard but just remember you are working toward a goal that you will reach. hope you feel better soon.

Miki, new clothes for a new woman! It is nice to treat yourself. Next time you go shopping you'll be buying size 8's!

taiwan, I hope you had a nice birthday.

For me this week has been going great so far...ok it's only tuesday but I am still motivated and really trying to be good about what goes into my mouth. Reina, tastykakes and cheesesteaks, yes they are Philly favorites and loaded with calories. I have only lived in the Philly area for about 10 years (I lived in Connecticut most of my life before getting married) and Philly is filled with great junk food. Oh by the way, at the museum Saturday I ran up all the steps just like Rocky did in the movie. Maybe that is why I lost a pound LOL.

This week I want to try a new low fat chicken recipe. Any suggestions?

I'll try to post later.

Deb

Hi all

Well, I had Chinese buffet tonite so needless to say, I'm sure I'm over in calories. No way I can figure out the exact amount. That's all I had today tho. Still havent gotten on that AirWalker today.

LadyRider, they're all right about your pic...the weightloss took off years too..lol I had to put a new pic on also since yours. I hadnt even thought about updating. The new one of me was taken on Feb.6. Wasnt quite 40 yet then..LOL

Taiwan, hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow!!!

Reina, I was so glad to see a post from you...I"ve missed you bunches!

Cyan, it's good to hear they are going to get in a hurry for your mom's surgery. I'll be praying for her for sure. ( and for you and your dad! )

Debee, I'm impressed you made it up all those stairs. I doubt I could have made it..

Well ladies, it was great hearing from all of you. Have a great day tomorrow!!

Angry Good Morning Ladies

Miki you look so good too....looks like your weight loss is showing too....you look much thinner from the last head shot you had up.

Its so great...truly is to see the differences showing up..its keeps me motivated to stay on program...thanks ladies for your support...I firmly believe that actions speak louder than words...and your before and after pics are sure speaking loudly of your successful efforts...kudos on all who lost weight. Simply amazing

Once again I stayed withing my calorie limits and fat grams. I am stoked about that...I may finally be getting the hang of eating less and making better choices.

Also, my cheese eating is way under control and I nolonger have it on a regular basis....this is great for me cause it helps me cut down a lot on my calories and fat grams.

Debee glad to hear that you are keeping motivated..so important. Thanks for sharing with us your stories.

Reina..keep going..you can do it...remember how good it felt when you were on program and losing...felt great.

Ok ladies...I'm at work so I better get to it...talk to you later

Bye

Hi,

Miki, you look great! You are going to love being in your 40's...so much better than being in your 20's.

Cyan, glad to hear the cheese monster is under control! It sounds like you are becoming more motivated every day.

Lady, I always look forward to your posts.

Renia, the more you post the more we can support you...so next time you want to eat...post instead.

Taiwan, hope to hear from you soon.

Lisa, you must be very busy...but please take a few minutes to let us now how you are.

Today has been a pretty good day but I am so tired. I caught a bit of Oprah yesterday and she was talking how important it was to eat breakfast...I am really forcing myself since I'm not hungry in the morning. This afternoon the weather is going up to about 60 and I plan to take a walk with the kids once Jimmy gets off the bus...but I need a cat nap first. I'll try to post later.
