Hi everyone, I just joined 3FC this week I am loving it so far. I am following the 30-Day Meal Plan by Dr. Ian Smith on 50MillionPoundChallenge, just started it Wed. I am feeling so good about this journey and determined to get the weight OFF. Well, I did a WI today and I am down 3 lbs! I will try to only weigh on Friday....but I don’t know if I can be in suspense for 7 days I have not even made it to the gym yet but the weight loss has me excited about going b/c if I did 3 lbs w/o the gym I can only imagine what will happen when I kick butt at the gym.

Default Inspiring People

Hello Everyone,
I’m new and I really would like some advice, first how and which forum to you post in for food questions? Like how many calories does a glass of wine have? How can you set up a meal plan for your journey? I deicide the forty something forum was appropriate and I post there, however I did not receive any feedback.
After reading over the threads I notice the women of color thread and read some of the post. I would like to hear more on how you guy’s have progressed it is very inspiring. I’m a woman of color, and I notice that, although exercise and dieting is how weight lost is accomplished women of colors body types are different. I have trouble spots the same exercise routine that may work for someone else doesn’t work for me.
I have a busy schedule like I am sure most of you do. Experts say stress and the lack of sleep hinders weight lose. Can any one else attest to that fact? I work from ten pm until ten am my husband had been out of work for a while so everything was left up to me. To make life more complicated I went back to school a year ago to obtain a degree. So with work, school, and insuring my only daughter went to college this year I lack time and motivation for myself.
I’m not complaining in today’s economy just do have a job is a blessing, but I would like to see my grandchildren one day. Things are getting better my husband found work my baby is in school and my time management skills are better. Therefore, I want to focus on me I need to lose 50lbs, I have before in my early 30’s I’m in my early 40’s now. I know it will be a little more difficult this time but I know I can do this if I can just stay focused …… Going for a walk this morning Day 2

Things are going ok from me other than trying to figure out how much cardio I should do. I am currently doing 60min but I'm not seeing the scale go down...maybe 0.5 or 1 lb a week or maybe even a +. I am eating right, trying to follow the 30Day Meal Plan. The weird thing is when I first started I was only following the plan(5meals & 2snacks a day) with no exercise and I lost 7 lbs in 9days, but once I added in the cardio it just about came to a STOP! Am I doing something wrong???

Sometimes it just takes time. People do lose weight without exercising... When I was unable to exercise due to a car accident I still lost weight... It all depends on the amount of cardio and intensity. Also what time you weigh yourself. If you are retaining water.... What type of foods you are eating in the meals... You don't have to rush! I was doing I think 3.5 hours of exercise per week when I first started and losing weight....
