  • Quote: thanks you too! I have a question about hair. What do you do to deter sweating out a hairstyle? I'm natural and I do my own twists but I really don't want to redo them every few days because they are frizzing up.
I wear mine natural too and just have to resort to living with the frizz as giving up exercise is not an option. I get mine done every week as a result. When I want a change, I get my hair braided and that lasts me for a month and gets rid of the frizz problem.

I am thinking of relaxing it because of the sweating issue. I really dont like going to the hairdresser every week. Hopefully I wont regret it.
  • GOOD MORNING LADIES!

uGH Im still struggling to get to onderland sigh I cant seem to shake the 220s and 2teens!

  • Hi Cake...thanks! Its good to 'see' you too. Yup - I am still here. This thread is not as active as it once was but I still lurk and read daily
  • I don't rinse mine everyday and I don't really put products in my hair either to sturdy the twists (to avoid acne).... I will try making them smaller or do half cornrow half twists and see if that works too...
  • hey ladies. Happy Monday. I am dead dog tired at work today and trying to not snack out of sleepiness or boredom. I had a an awesome weekend weight wise.....i managed to LEAVE the weekend the SAME weight I entered it! **** YEAZ
  • Happy monday ladies!! Hey cake *waves back* hope all is well with u guys. I wi at 226.2 today really trying to see two teens and eventually onederland *sigh* onederland seems to take forever
  • This page is rather dead these days....Where is everyone???
  • Hey! I'm still around. Not doing too good though. I've been traveling a lot and now I have my niece here visiting. My weight is about 203. The lowest I've ever been is 190 and I want to get back there. I'm trying not to let myself get too far out of control. I'm thinking about getting back on my beck diet solution plan.
  • Just checking in again. I decided I wanted to start with a detox. I'm kind of doing Phase 1 of the Fat Smash diet. Sticking to it for the most part, but I'm still using seasonings and adding in a little bit of dairy (just cottage cheese) to keep my protein up. It went well and I'm not hungry. I had oatmeal and egg whites for breakfast, a big bowl of fruit for a snack, salad for lunch, and black beans with peppers and brown rice for dinner. I teach tonight, so I had to eat dinner early and am taking fruit for a snack. Hope everyone else is healthy and well!
  • hey everyone I'm new here I'm Krista an I'm 17 just starting this weight loss thing to feel better about myself. I started at 244 and now at 232 but I've been here for two days and I really want to be in the 220's!! But I'm not giving up I'm just going to keep going
  • Hey, Krista!!! You're off to a great start! I think it's awesome that you're starting at 17. I wish I had your motivation when I was that age! Your height and starting weight are close to mine. Just keep at it, and you'll get to your goal!
  • Yet another black twentysomething:
Stuck in the 280's forever over here. ^^; Hoping not to be. Also a new to the natural hair game and just now phasing out of TWA land. (Y'all should know what that stands for, right!?)
  • Nebuchadnezzar > You're here doing something about it, so I know you won't be stuck! This forum used to be a lot more active, so hopefully some of the other ladies will make a comeback! I've gone through the natural process too. My avi is kinda old, but I've been natural for almost 3 years this go round. I have one post about it on my blog and will be including more posts on how I take care of my hair.
  • hey everyone! I just finished exercising but only for 15mins I will do the other 15mins later. but I was just wondering do you guys think exercising everyday really makes the difference? I exercise twice a week but I think that maybe if I do it everyday it would really help more with my weight loss and the way my body looks in general, even though my family says they can see changes in my body I really don't see any difference. Do you think exercising everyday would help?
