Laura...I agree......Um it is so beautiful outside, I think I am feeling ill and need to go home....hehe....not. Walked over to Starbucks and got my decaf skinny vanilla latte' with one equal. It doesn't help me stay awake but tastes YUM.

With the layoffs here and the nice weather, everyone is having a hard time concentrating. Or even wanting to work, but feel guilty for those who have lost their jobs and still around for the time being.

I really need to get busy but having a real hard time of it. Plus I have to work at CVS tonight. Hope there is some fun excitement tonight at CVS. I haven't been asked out in a while. Maybe prince charming will come through the line tonight. lol

Gotta get....

Good morning ladies,

No time to post this morning had some other stuff this morning.

Feeling a bit better today - I am all medicined up!

Laura - the town must be so happy with it's new American Idol

Mel - don't overstep things today

Annie - I can imagine how hard it is to focus on work. I still think that somehow they bent the rules on severance pay for those exiting and made them think they are getting more than they are Hope CVS is a fun night tonight with entertaining customers so you don't mind working.

Michelle - thanks for all you do

Shad - I liked you post on FB

Ceejay

Ok girls, gotta hustle here but not too fast or I'll cough. Nudge me at 10am in case this cough medicine with codeine knocks me out

Good Thursday Morning My Chickies....

Last night at CVS was entertaining to say the least. I followed 3 guys around the store for about 15 minutes before they left, they were looking to steal but not with eye spy Annie on the seen. Little B*st*ards. You know that was what they were up to as they purchased nothing and left. How can a person live with themselves?

Printer probs today here at work. Thank God we have about 7 other printers. Everyone seems to think when the printer goes down, it is my personal problem to take care of. NOT

MELLIE...Feeling so so is better than feeling sh*t sh*t. Hmmm, the AC dude, maybe you will get some eye candy today, altho you won't be able to see him with your eyes being messed up. LOL

Happy....maybe if you cough enough at work they will send you home. Get to feeling better my dear sista!

Hello's to everyone....

Love and hugs,

Annie - I can see how it would be hard for all of you to focus on work with all the layoffs going on, and then the nice weather to boot. Hope you get some nice customers at CVS tonight, not those intent on shoplifting. Be careful when you're spying! Would they give up quicker if you smiled and asked if they needed help? Maybe all the CVSers on duty need to do that tag-team style and it might discourage future visits. Hey, let other people deal w/ IT about those printer probs.

Mel - Hope the AC guy gets the program fixed and able to keep up w/ the heat. Have a quiet day so that you rest and feel good-good instead of so-so.

Happy - Glad the meds are making you feel better. Hope the coughing keeps to a minimum. Yeh, our town is definitely happy to have its own "Idol". Big crowd yesterday at the village green viewing party. Just hope Lee can live his dream for a long time.

Hi Shad, Ceejay & Michelle!! Who might be the sneaker-inner?

Last night went to the AI viewing party hosted by the village, but bf & I decided it was too crowded to stay the whole 2 hours, so we went to dinner and watched on their tvs and then headed back to the green for the last 15 min. It was a happy night. And bf bought a like-new lawn edger from a guy on craigslist, so he's happy too.

Tonight I'll finally get some exercise. I really should have been getting up in the AM to exercise instead of missing it...

Foot's still hurting, but I hate trying to stay off my feet. Yesterday at lunch I took a short walk, today I'll walk over to the Store Formerly Known as Marshall Field's because they have a sale on LeSportSac bags and I love their cosmetic bags! There's also the farmer's market - should pick up something to have w/ dinner. Not sure what they have there so early in the season??

Back to work. Almost Friday - hooray!!

Happy Thursday -

Just 4 more hours 'till the long weekend. I'm so glad I have a 4 day weekend!! What a crazy day it has been! I was just notified that I had to modify several reports by end of day, and then take them to get upper mgmt approval. Good times. But at least the weekend is nearly here. And I'm not gonna complain too much about my job....it's MUCH better than the alternative.

I don't know if I'll get to stay for the WW meeting today, but I plan to go weigh in. I'd be happy with any loss this week, but I'm not sure it'll happen.

Mel - Yes, my DMIL will be staying here with my DH while I'm gone. But she may visit her sister who lives near us during some of that time. I hope your hall A/C is fixed by now.

Happy - I hope you get over your cold quickly. I'm glad the meds are helping you feel better.

Annie - That sucks about the little sh*ts who tried to swipe stuff. Good for you for keeping an eye on 'em.

Laura - Congrats on your home town Idol. That's how Milwaukee felt with Danny Gokey...and he didn't even win. Don't overdo it with the walking today.

A big to everyone! I gotta get back to the report and prepping for this afternoon's meeting.

Love and hugs to all,
Michelle

My cough medicine is Cotton Candy Flavored and it comes with a syringe so that you can measure out the EXACT dosage. This may be the way of medicines to come.

I Spy Annie - I absolutely LOVE it !!!!!!! I say we need more people like you to teach the imbeciles who were not properly educated by their litter mamas. Yesterday there was a person sitting in the doctor's waiting room who just pulled up one of the chairs and stuck her dirty shoes on it. I thought - aren't you rude and wanted to shuffle my shoes on HER chair but I was too wiped out to react. I mean if you have some issue that requires you to put your feet up, at least put your scummy old shoe on a magazine or something. Then another lady came out of the doctor's office and her son I guess was waiting for her. She told him to pick up the stack of magazines she was reading and took them with her. Since he grabbed them from 3 different places, I doubt they were ones she brought with her. Rules and genuine courtesy seem to be so passe. So Annie girl - you just give them punks the stink eye! I you!!!!

Michelle - you seem so overly swamped at work lately I hope you can get everything done today so you can really REALLY enjoy a well deserved long weekend. Good luck with weigh in later.

Ohhh Laura - downtown farmers market. Geez how I miss that. We have one locally but no where near as good at downtown. I noticed that the biggest vendors seem to buy produce from a regular store and try to sell it at a mark up. Like duh, you think we don't NOTICE the store labels with the codes for ringing them up? We have a nice one down in the city but we have to get up really early to get to that one. They have farm fresh eggs too which sell out in like 1 hour. Had to laugh - "formerly known as Marshall Fields". Will always be that way to me too. As well as the Sears Tower which once had the honor of having the front sign changed to Bears Tower in 1985 when they won the superbowl. What's going on with the foot. I might suggest a warm footbath with epsom salts and some gentle stretching. However if the bottom of the foot is bruised from that orthotic "bump" that just unfortunately takes a very long time to heal.

Mel - are you resting? :sss:

Shad - roll over and go back to sleep

I'm about to head outside for 10 minutes to clear my head - all the dust in this place is stuffing me up and I'm breathing through my mouth which is drying me too.

Chelle - Good luck at WI today. Have a great weekend!

Happy - I also see people on the train w/ their feet up, both with and w/o shoes. Ewww. I used that dept store title for your benefit - you commented once on how you feel about MF's successor owners. I myself was a Carson's fan because I worked at the State Street store during my college years... Part of the building is now offices, we'll see what they do w/ the ground floor. At least they've retained the historic Louis Sullivan facade.

Anyway, after my shopping trip I ate lunch and skipped the farmer's market because my foot didn't need anymore browsing today. Annie & Happy, thanks for the suggestion to soak it. Good excuse to pull out my foot spa and enjoy a good relaxing soak. Ahhh.

Back to work now!

Hi everyone -

Super quick post. Weigh in update. Exactly the same...maintained. No gain/no loss. I'll take it.

As for being busy at work...I finished up the HUGE project, and it's going "live" next week. Today's emergency was a project that fell to the back burner and then off the stove and out of (my) mind due to the HUGE project. Not a big deal. A co-worker and I worked on it together. We got the changes made and tested. And now just have to begin the approval process (today and Tuesday).

Tick tock....can't wait for the weekend!

Tomorrow is crazy busy. I'm taking doggy to the vet for teeth cleaning, meeting with an existing web client, and a new client, a time management seminar that I may not have time for (how ironic), hopefully Zumba, then a trip back to the vet to pick up my doggy. Saturday or Sunday we're going to an Air Show, which should be fun. Gotta get some yard work in this weekend, and hopefully some nice relaxing time reading while kicking back on my chaise lounge in the backyard. Ahhhhhh.

I'll try and find time to check in over the long weekend. I might need to purchase something at Kohl's...but I can always make time for that.

Love to all,

Michelle
not gaining this week is a good thing. i'm believeing that stress is a key role to weight loss.

Happy
Sorry to hear that you are sick. Feel better soon.

Annie
Woo hoo in playing I Spy on the would be thieves while at work. you rock.

Mel
Hope the ac guy can fix the problems. and that you can rest over the long week end.

hi Laura and Shad.

My day was good considering my head spent 45 minutes in a MRI machine. I'll get the results next week. A friend went with me and afterwards went shopping. We got caught in a heavy down pour which lasted about 15 minutes. We were trying to find her friend's house.

Hiya,
I'll get this quick post done while I have a coffee before my lunch 15 mins is gone.
DS2 - the unemployed bum - got a days work with the promise of more to come. He went in and they asked him to blend and rebag some chemicals from 50kg & 25kg bags to 20kg bags. He did the maths, worked out how many bags he would require and got them from the store. Then he blended as per instructions and stacked the new bags on a pallet or two. Mind numbing stuff so he says. Anyway about 2/3 of the way through the job, the supervisor came out to take a look. Looked at his watch, counted the bags, looked at his watch again and went away. Came back a while later with a colleague, counted the bags, looked at his watch, introduced the DS2 to the colleague and went away again. DS2 went looking for him when he finished the job and asked if he could start the next job today instead of tomorrow and they laughed. They figured the job was going to take 3 days. They were somewhat surprised that it only took 3/4 day and the area was all cleaned, dusted and hosed down.
They rang him at 6.00am today to ask if he could drive a truck for them for today. I told him that he should set himself up as everything.com and be a general handyman.

Happy - hope you get to feel better soon. Don't want to have to send flowers over there. Candy Floss flavoured cough stuff - yukkkkk. Bet you don't like that for long.

Ceejay - hope the results come soon and clean. At least it was only your head. Could have been worse.

Michelle - no gain is a win. Gotta get with the program again. How long before the next challenge steps up???

Annie - good to hear the bones are knitting. Hope the PT works well for you.

Laura - Take care of the foot. Hope this new thingy for it works well.

Okay gotta go. Just got time to sneak in a look at the news on line and then back to scheduling butts on seats again. Roll on death - old age pension is too far away.

THE 2 MEETINGS WENT ON FOREVER LAST NIGHT. ALL THE MEN WERE WEARING THEIR MACHO EGOS PROUDLY ALL AT ONCE. SEEMED LIKE WE GOT ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE. THEY TRIED TO ENGAGE ME IN CONVERSATION AND I HELD MY OWN. ONCE THEY GOT TIRED OF SMART ANSWERS, THEY CALMED DOWN. GEEZ. THIS IS A QUICK POST. THERE IS A LOT THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE THE 3 DAY WEEKEND.....AND NEXT WEEK WE GET OUR DRIVEWAY TORN UP. IN THE MEANTIME THE BOSS LADY IS STILL OFF AND WON'T BE BACK TILL TUES/WEDS.
I THINK THE KIDS WILL LEAVE TODAY IF JEN IS OK. SO FAR SO GOOD FOR HER. NOT NEAR 100% BUT SHE'S ON THE GOOD SIDE. I AM STILL GOING UP AND DOWN. I NEED ANOTHER DR'S OPINION ON WTF IS GOING ON WITH ME. IN THE MEANTIME...NO SUN, NO CAFFEINE, NO SALT, LOW SUGAR AND NO STRESS...LIKE THAT'S GONNA HAPPEN
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND. STAY SAFE AND ENJOY YOURSELVES.

GOOD MORNING WORLDLIES......

Hope all are doing well. Sunshiny 90 degree day. I have been up since 3 AM with a migraine headache. Lights, computers, and the drive into work have just about done me in. We are closing the office early today, thank God as I am now nausus (sp) from this head of mine.

Have a marvelous memorial weekend. God Bless all those fallen and all those serving.

Love and Hugs.
