Got a dentist appointment this morning. Forgot all about it until I got home last night and DH said there was a reminder call on the telephone. Part 2 of the root canal or crown - I can't remember which. In either case, I hope it's done quickly. They are switching our email programs at work. Not looking forward to that as they never test quite enough. Some people have gone smoothly, others suffer immensely. I am sure my name is at the top of the sufferers pile

So off I go to earn my 50 cents proper. Have a good one chicks.

Not too much going on here. Thank God. May run to the store at lunch with a friend. I don't need anything, but it beats sitting in here all day. The weather has sucked the past two days. Rain rain rain and, you guessed it, more rain. Haven't been able to walk yet this week and my turtles miss me. lol I did grill out in the rain Sunday evening some beef chuck mixed with onion, worchestershire sauce and jalapeno pepper burgers. Made 5, sent 1 home with my brother and have been bringing them to work for lunch each day. Oh and slapped a slice of velveeta on them. Quite tasty.

Hi ladies -

Not much time to post right now...hopefully later. Still crazy busy at work, but at least it doesn't look like I'll need to put in any 11 hour days this week. I'm over my flu or exhaustion from the weekend. In fact, I did an hour of Zumba last night and 1/2 hour of strength training. And I feel MUCH, MUCH better for it! Another hour of Zumba is on the agenda for tonight, but not to worry...I'm taking tomorrow off of Zumba (maybe).

I'll try and catch up with all your posts at lunchtime (after my walk - it's gorgeous outside). I hope you're all doing well.

Mel – I think my card’s good til Wed. And I have some Kohl’s cash and supposedly another $5 coupon for giving the clerk my e-mail address - need to check that e-mail account. I’ll have to get back to shop more! Hope your man problems are no more!!

Michelle – Glad you’re feeling better. Make sure you get enough rest. With all that work, something’s gotta give, and we don’t want it to be your health!!

Happy – I’d prefer all electric/battery powered yard equipment, but they apparently don’t have the power that the gas-fueled ones do. He’d never go for an electric edger. Sigh. And the gas motors are so much louder too! Have a good (painless) dentist appointment, and hopefully a smooth transition to the new e-mail program.

Annie – The burgers sound tasty – I like them w/ Worcestershire sauce. Poor lonely turtles! Hope you can walk tomorrow and visit them.

Hey Ceejay, what’re you up to??

Nothing much going on here. Yesterday crawled by at work. As a co-worker asked me this morning – why can’t I be rich? My left foot was also hurting. I made an appointment w/ the foot doc for Monday next week. I think those orthotics are causing more problems than they’re solving!

At home last night I did one BE workout. Need to get out for walks at lunchtime - weather permitting - so I can get my cardio. We got our blue ray dvd player back from Samsung – they replaced the entire mother board. Dinner was salad, for a change. I’m going to lunch w/ a friend today, so that’ll be nice. No movie group tonight – our leader has to attend her daughter’s band concert tonight and the rest of us decided to skip it. That’s for the best - I’d voted for Iron Man 2, but I’d rather bf and I went to see it together because I know he wants to see it. Maybe this weekend. Tonight I’ll do some more paper sorting & purging – the document destruction event is this Saturday!!

I have not been typing as much because of a swollen left hand. Not sure what it is, but I'm making an appointment this afternoon for a doctor's visit. It looks like I've slugged some one except there is no bruising. Me thinks it is probably an arthritis flare up as it is in the joints area of my hand.

Morning all,

Not so much the little tyke Happy, more like the rotten little b*stard*. His mother is a school friend of the DS2. Nice lady, but this kid - who by the way is 9 years old - has taken to running away from home. This time as well as calling in the friends and family, she also called the cops. I think she wanted them to try and make him see sense (as if). Anyway he was spotting entering a property and the cops went in because we would be trespassing if we all rocked up and started searching. The house which used to be owned by the parents of another school friend is now in the hands of an Aboriginal family. It's a big block surrounded by tall trees and scrub and very private. To cut a long story short, the cops went in and searched the yard and then asked to have a look in the house. In they went and found under a bed, not the kid but a rifle and a stash of drugs. Meantime the kid had found his way out of the property and was found heading for home. Hopefully he will have learned a lesson this time.
For those of you not in the know. Unless you have a permit for a firearm and it is safely locked away in a specific gun locker and the ammunition is someplace else - also safely locked away - then you don't have a firearm in Australia. We don't allow the population - many and varied as they are and some pretty stupid into the bargain to bear arms. Only the military and police are allowed them and the police must follow normal civilian process when they are off duty. The military don't bring them home. Of course there are exceptions - how many murders do we have etc., but by and large it works. In NZ the police in general do not bear arms either.
Anyway, the kid is home - for the moment - and may stay there for a while although don't hold your breath.

Now I had better get back into this @#$%@#$ slideslow for Work Execution. I hate to say this, but I am bored.

Good morning ladies -

I'm finally, hopefully, beginning to dig out from under this project. I was also supposed to have a meeting with a website client tonight, but that's not happening because I've got to take DH to the doctor. He has a very bad, very painful ear infection and is way too dizzy to drive himself. Hopefully, everything will be ok, and the doc will just give him something to help clear it up.

The house painting is nearly done. I think they'll finish up the window and door trim today. Yay! It really looks nice. I'll take a photo once it's all done.

I think tonight, after I get back with DH from the doctor, I'm gonna try out a Zumba DVD that I checked out of the library to see if it would be good enough to keep me from going into Zumba withdrawals when I'm in CA. Just 3 weeks from today!!

Happy - I did get your card last week! Thank you SO much!

Not much to report. Bf let the lawn get too long again and had to bag the clippings instead of mulching them yesterday. And he complained about it. Duh. If it were me I'd be mowing twice a week to avoid having to bag... I did a BE workout last night and took doggy for a walk. I didn't sort papers last night, but I did some while eating my breakfast and took a file on the train. It's a nice day today, but I won't be walking much at lunch - my foot's still hurting. Tonight will be a trip to Kohl's for a blanket and who knows what else.

Back to work. Have a nice Wed/Thurs.

Evening all,
Home again after another day of busy work. Had to schedule lessons today for a place called Talinga, otherwise known as Walloons, aka Peat. Don't know the distances but it is out the back of Roma somewhere in a big paddock!!!

Michelle - hope the DH gets better fast. Ear infections are not fun. Maybe he got that having too much fun on his break!! Looking forward to the house photos. Do you have a before and after so we can see how much it has improved.

Laura - often wonder why the 'boys' whinge when they have to go over the lawn twice! After all, if they had done the lawn earlier then it wouldn't have happened. Hah!!!

Annie - why is it that IT never seem to get it right first time round. Don't they have a list to work from. They are quick enough to have an SOE and tell us what we can't have, but heck - we can't get what we need on a new build.

Mel - what???? Grandad is going to the trailer too???? Bet he is going to look it over with a view to selling it because he is running out of money. Can't get his regular supply of viagra any more.

Well those of the associates that have till July 12 can actually exit on May 28 if all is transitioned and still get paid through July 12, then severance kicks in. SOOOOooo...we are having pizza, salad and cake tomorrow at lunch cause I cannot imagine anyone being here much after that. I think I am done crying about all that now. Granted I gave myself more than the one day standard cry-whoa is me day. I am sick of working for companies that put me through this sh*t. I just want to work at a job that I love, is fun, and make lots of money. Is that asking too much from life....I think not. Ok...rant over.

MEL...hey on your Kohl's gift card, you can go on-line and use it. Also search for free shipping codes before you order. If you cannot remember to use it/spend it, ship it to me, I will use it as Kohl's is the only place I buy my over the shoulder boulder holders.

SHAD...No sh*t about the IT dudes. This is Thursday, this all started this past Monday when I arrived at work and it is still not resolved. The dang IT dude that was helping me called in sick yesterday, so a different dude is helping me, which is good as he seems to know more about the probs. It is just frustrating cause they ask you what the probs are like 50 times, so I now say..."ok listen...as I said before blah blah blah" WRITE IT DOWN for crap sake. We need to start an all women IT, website, fix it probs for idiots company. I think we chickies could do it.
