Mel - ANYONE who either laughed or said to you it's just an effing bird is a complete and total insensitive arsehole! And you can tell 'em the Zumba queen said so! Ooooooh, that p*sses me off so bad!

Shad - Hope the new job goes well, and that you figure out a smoother and more efficient commute.

Ceejay - the weight will come back off before you know it...just get back on track.

Happy - I always feel like no matter how much I get done around the house, there's always so much more to do. That's why I'm kinda glad DH will be gone for 10 days before he brings his mom back from CA (for a visit). At least I'll be able to clean the house and it'll mostly stay clean (except for the doggies messing it up).

Annie - I hope the arm pain is getting better.

Laura - How are you doing? Hope you're having a good day at work.

Last night, I talked to my Aunt who lives in San Diego. I'm so excited about my trip to So. Cal!! I'd love to be at Onederland by June 9 (when I leave), but that may be a bit tough. Today is prelim weigh in. I hope, hope, hope I have reached my 10% goal, and that it'll carry thru 'till tomorrow's official WW weigh in. I still feel big and bloated....but I've been staying OP with eating and exercising. Hopefully Aunt Flo isn't showing up to mess everything up. After work, I'll be helping DH in the yard.

I'd like some advice from y'all if you don't mind. I'm flying into San Diego and spending a few days with my aunt and uncle before going to my sister's. So here are a couple choices....For $100 less but an extra 2-3 hour drive, I could fly back to Milwaukee out of San Diego; or I could fly out of the airport near my sister's house. It's more expensive, but at least I wouldn't have a 2-3 hour drive to the airport. What do you chicks think? Spend the money and save the time/drive? Or save the money and do the drive?

Thanks, chicas!

Luvya,

I'd fly if I could afford it. I remember the traffic in CA.

Hi everyone -

I made my flight arrangements! I got a great deal! I'm flying into San Diego and home from the airport near my sister's house for just $300...so it turned out to be about $30 more than if I drove 2-3 hours back to San Diego to fly home from there. I'm SOOOOO excited! I can't wait to see all my relatives!

Hi everyone. Did not have computer access from about 9:00 - 3:30 today because of this:

(Cut and pasted from an internet news story)
Computers in companies, hospitals and schools around the world got stuck repeatedly rebooting themselves Wednesday after an antivirus program identified a normal Windows file as a virus.

Antivirus vendor McAfee Inc. confirmed that a software update caused its antivirus program for corporate customers to misidentify a harmless file. It has posted a replacement update for download.

Online posts indicated that thousands of computers running Windows XP with Service Pack 3 were affected.

So that made my day quite unproductive. Leaving shortly. I will exercise tonight since I didn't exercise last night. May or may not take doggy for a walk - took a walk last night. I think I strained my right knee cycling to the train yesterday AM and it's been twingey ever since. Bf dropped me off this morning, and I will walk home tonight as bf has a work thingy to attend. I'll avoid squats and lunges. Been controlling the snacks the past few days, but not noticing any results yet as TOM is here this week. I'll keep at it.

Shad - Sorry your first day's commute was so horrible. Hope Thursday's goes more smoothly.

Michelle - How exciting to have a trip to look forward to! Good deal on the airfare.

Mel - Hope you're hanging in there. That's horrible that some people laughed about your loss - jerks!

Hellos to Annie, Ceejay & Happy.

Cheers!

hey everyone -

Prelim weigh in yesterday showed that I haven't gain or lost...no closer to my 10% goal. I know you're all gonna get out your I am trying really, really hard. I'm staying OP, exercising lots. I asked a nurse at our Wellness Center how I can lose a lb overnight short of flushing myself out with laxatives. She suggested I drink lots of water and cut way, way back on sodium - not easy for me as I eat lots of processed foods. But I did last night. And this morning, instead of a WW breakfast...I got my veggie omelet with Egg Beaters and a little salsa. I'm also going to have a Fiber One Bar to make sure things are moving through. Judging from my moodiness, I'd say it's a safe bet that Auntie Flo will be here soon. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a : today.

Love and hugs,

Good morning ladies,

It's off to the dentist for me this morning. I hope he gets this tooth finished before I go on vacation. I always get nervous if we're in the middle of a procedure and I'm far, far away if anything happens - like the temp crown falls off Foot is doing fine too - I am done with the doc - he said no heels (like that's gonna happen) for 3 more months. The swelling will still be there for at least 2 months but it is healing nicely and the bonework looks good. Toes are still knobby but I guess that's another gift of old age.

Mel - hope that the last of the appliance installs goes well and you have have some quiet time to yourself. Nice graphic today.

Michelle - sorry to hear the scale wasn't cooperating yesterday. You really have upped your exercise recently. When my co-worker did that - in an effort to get to her next goal - she got stuck too. The harder she worked, the more that scale stuck. Her leader told her to up her protein because of the extra exercise. So she ate eggs in the morning instead of a mini bagel & yogurt and added an extra half of chicken breast to her evening meal. And that scale moved! I know you will make you goal, you are working so hard for it. I'm so glad to hear you are getting out to see your family on the coast. What a great thing to look forward to!

Laura - I'm sort of surprised we didn't have that antivirus bug at work - guess being really backleveled helps sometimes Actually I think that was McAffee which we don't use. I can see where that would really screw up your day. I hope your aches have eased up and you're feeling better.

Ceejay - I didn't like being a PASSENGER on the roads in CA, much less a driver Good for you if you were brave enough to drive out there.

Shad - sounds like you don't like taking the train AT ALL. You and my DH are very much alike. Once I got the train schedules down pat, I enjoyed those 2 hours of me time I had to myself. I haven't really read books for enjoyment since I stopped taking the train. How's the new job otherwise?

Miss Annie - how is the arm coming along? I can't imagine your busy schedule in one armed mode. Hope you are doing ok and there is minimal drama with the relatives. Sending you some peace and calm...

Gotta get ready to jump on a conference call. Have a good one chicks.

Morning worldies

It's nice to have some days off after a busy work week. I had the pleasure of filling one of the elevated tanks after it was taken off line for inspection. It took almost 18 hours to fill the 500,000 gallon tank.

It rained over night but the sun is shining again.

Once again I've started the process of declutterinig the spare bedroom.

And for some unkown reason I'm smelling fresh strawberries. Yum.

Happy
I couldn't of driven in california if i had wanted to because of the traffic. Driving in Lousiville, Ky was enough to set off a panic attack. My first time to drive on 5 lanes of traffic going one way. I will not drive in Dallas either. My neices husband drove. The sights were beautiful and wold love to go back.

Michelle
I'm glad that you are flying. Just sit back and enjoy the trip. Sodium plays a big roll in me gaining weight. My ankles are swollen now from fluid retention.
I like the fiber one bars.

Annie
How are things going with you?

Laura
Since I've taken the anti virus programs off my computer it runs a lot better.
i do have window's defender on the laptop. You are doing great with the exercise. Wish it would motivate me to do more.

Mel
How are things in you corner of the world? Will you be getting another bird? I like my stuffed Ty animals. you can pet them hold them but never worry about feeding them or taking them to the vet.

Sorry, Shad. The WW scale matched my prelim weigh in yesterday. I'm up 0.4 lbs. I'm not sure why...I'm staying within my points and exercising my arse off (or very nearly). I've got 1 lb to lose to get to 10%, and come h*ll or high water, that sucker will be gone by next Thursday.

Tis ok Chelle..you will giterdone next week. My faith remains in you, sista.

I have been walking around the pond down the road from work the last few days. It is 1.3 miles. It is helping to clear my mind a bit. No tears in the last 3 days either. That is my goal, as sad as it is, no tears and one day at a time.

Thank you ladies for all your support, I loves yuins.

Happy Friday!

Not much time today, as I've got to get a report finished before I leave...and it's not even close. I did 1/2 hour of Zumba last night, plus 1/2 hour of strength training, including abs and planks. Tonight is an hour of Zumba, followed by another hour tomorrow morning. Sunday...I'll either do a Zumba DVD or Wii Fit for 30-60 minutes. It's going to be a rainy weekend here, which is good considering I have website work to get done.

Happy - Thanks for the suggestion about eating more lean protein. I will try that. I never used to mind driving in CA...I guess that's because it was where I learned to drive and I was used to the traffic. Well, I still got frustrated with bumper to bumper...but at least I was used to watching out for crazy drivers. Now, after being gone 10 years, I hope I do okay with the So. Cal. freeway systems. Of course, Chicago traffic is just about as bad. I've never driven in Chicago...nor do I ever want to. Chicago can have bumper to bumper traffic even late at night, and I just think...why aren't you people home??

Ceejay - Smelling fresh strawberries? Yummy. I could definitely go for a piece of angel food cake with strawberries and FF/SF cool whip on top.

Annie - I'm glad to hear the walks are helping you clear your head. I hope things improve for you and the family soon so that you no longer have tears you're holding back.

Lots to get done...I'll try to check in later.

to everyone!!

Glad things are improving for you. Good job on walking around the pond. that would be a nice place to walk--away from every thing.

Michelle
Enjoy your trip to CA.

I'll be back later. I came on line to check out the weather.
Today is my uncles birthday. I can't go to Paragould until tomorrow, but I'm going to call him this morning to wish him a happy birthday.

Good morning chickies,

Supposed to get a good rain coming in later today into tomorrow. That's ok, we need it and I need to continue focusing on getting the house in order. Vacation is around the corner, I can smell the beach.

Annie - did you say you had to cancel your vacation? Bummer - I'm sure you could have used some sun and sand and a(lot) of alchohol about now. Just take 'er easy and get your feelings back in a good place again.

Happy Birthday Ceejay's Uncle. have some cake on us

Michelle - people like me who have lived their all their lives are getting more paranoid about driving in Chicago. I actually closed my eyes when we came in last time off 55 until 94. Good thing I wasn't driving I noticed a long, long time ago that no matter what time of day or night, it's always heavy traffic. I too wondered where is everyone going at 3am? Not like it's the night shift getting off. Sending you some magic melt away dust to get that last pound off and get to your 10% mark

Shoot - I lost track of time. Gotta run. Be back later for the rest of you...
