Happy Easter Monday ladies -
I am SO ready to abolish all ailments. I worked on tidying up the yard on Friday since it was so gorgeous outside. I Zumba'ed my butt off on Friday night and Saturday morning. Ran errands most of the day Saturday, despite feeling a little feverish and dizzy. Spent yesterday morning doing website work, and then took a loooong nap yesterday afternoon. In other words, I completely hit the wall and was down for the count after dinner at around 5:30. I woke up briefly at 10, but then back to sleep. I apologized to DH for being such poor company on Easter. He didn't mind cuz he napped on and off too. I guess we both needed the rest. I'm feeling better today, though I've still got a little chest congestion...oooops, I know I'll get the

as we're not supposed to have any ailments this month. The verdict is still out on whether I'm gonna Zumba tonight...part of me wants to, and part of me just wants to sleep.
I did get to Kohl's on Saturday and got some great deals: a pair of slacks, a pair of jeans, two tops, undies and socks for $70 (and that was before my employee discount)!
Also, another bit of good news. We've been going back and forth on which painter to select...the inexpensive one that has no testimonials and no references...or the expensive guy ($1,000 more) who comes HIGHLY recommended by a coworker whose opinion I trust. All the other bids were fairly close to the expensive guy, and if we had to choose between almost expensive and expensive...we'd defer to the one my coworker recommended. The question was always...how do we justify $1,000 more when even the cheap guy would take more than our tax return and it would mean taking on lots of website projects. So yesterday, my DH is going through Saturday's mail. I was upstairs doing website stuff. He tells me to come down right away. He was holding a check from our escrow...apparently our property taxes and homeowners insurance (both of which are included in our mortgage payment) had gone down. Anyway, the escrow check more than covers the difference in the painting estimates....so we're going with the highly recommended, albeit expensive, guy! I talked with my coworker this morning, and explained the situation to her...and she confirmed that the guy she recommended is definitely worth an extra $1,000. She's used him twice for painting and he's done an excellent job both times. Phew, that windfall check is a big relief. Now we can put the website work money toward paying down credit cards.
Shad - Did your DS2 go away for holiday? Where did he go? I travel vicariously through others, dontcha know. Good for you for standing up straight and engaging your core to support your back. My back sometimes yells reminders at me to do the same. Thanks for posting the photos of the gorgeous flowers! Absolutely lovely! Are crocuses have bloomed, as have a couple daffodils. And the robins are back. Yay, spring! So Sunday likes to "help" you clean, huh? My doggies love to help too...that is until I pull out the vacuum cleaner, then they run and hide. It's been very windy here all weekend...have you and Mel started talking about me already?
Laura - I was able to check the organization book out of the library, though I haven't started it yet. I'd like to finish reading Twilight first. But since DMIL will be coming here for her summer visit in just 5 short weeks, I'd better get started on the cleaning/organization. How cool that you have a document shredding day coming up. I hope to find one around here soon. That will alleviate a lot of the clutter. Good for you for tackling closet clutter and itemizing it for taxes! You rock! And now that you're done with your closets, can you do mine after you do Ceejay's that is? We had some wicked wind most of the weekend...along with some rain on Saturday, but the bigger storms are predicted for tonight and tomorrow.
Annie - Sorry you had to work so hard on the weekend. I hope you were compensated well for working on the holiday. And I hope your boss' mood (and your day) improves.
Happy - I totally understand what you mean about holidays losing their meaning when you live away from family. Even though DH's aunt and uncle live fairly close, they don't celebrate very many holidays. Glad you enjoyed a delicious brunch. I love my Corolla and DH loves his 4Runner, but he says the new 4Runner is too big for his needs and a Rav 4 is too small. He's been thinking about a Highlander, but worries it may have more of a passenger car/van chassis, rather than a truck chassis. I do like sitting up higher in the 4Runner. I might get a Rav4 for my next car. We'll see. Hopefully, we don't have to get new cars anytime soon.
Mel - I tried doing FlyLady...but just never got in the groove. I am trying to break the big job of cleaning for DMIL's visit into smaller bits that I can do each day and on the weekends. When you're done with the bulldozer and cleaning crew, can you please send the to my home? That is so sweet that you do Easter treats for Jen and Richie. That is awful about Richie's locker being broken into! Glad he was able to get tools on Easter Sunday and get to work today.
Ceejay - Glad the landlord is getting your work orders addressed. I hope it doesn't result in a rent increase.

Like you, Ceejay, I hate to live in clutter...but it seems I'm always too busy or too ill or having pains to clean little by little...so then when I do clean, it's a much bigger job.
Ruth - Sounds like you had a lovely and fun Easter with your friends, farm animals, dogs and 14 cats! Never a dull moment for Ruthie!
I should probably get some work done, though I'd rather be at the Milwaukee Brewers Opening Day of the baseball season.
