Ceejay - Happy Birthday to your Uncle!! I'm not going to CA until mid-June...so not leaving yet.

Happy - Thanks for the magic melt away dust. I really could use some. I'm just hoping for a whoosh week. I know sometimes it happens that even when I'm doing everything right and it doesn't show up on the scale for a week or two...but then a whoosh week happens and several pounds come off. That's gonna happen this week. Sounds like we'll have the same weather this weekend, but I'll be getting my house in order next weekend when DH is out of town.

Happy Friday everyone!

Happy - Hope the tooth is done and giving you no problems!

Michelle - Hoping this week will be a woosh week for you. Maybe some extra protein will do the trick.

Annie - Your walks around the pond sound nice. Before our office moved to a busier part of downtown, I liked getting out at lunch for walks. But where we are now, the sidewalks are much more crowded and it's not as nice. That's the city for ya.

Ceejay - Hope you're enjoying your days off. Lately I've been coming home from work and changing into workout clothes right away and that helps me get my exercise in. If I start doing something else, I never seem to get around to it.

Mel - The walk sounded nice, hope the rest of the day is good too.

to Shad! Hope your commute has improved!

Last night I did a 30 min. BE show. Bf tried to play a dvd and discovered the audio on our player is out, ONE MONTH OUT OF WARRANTY. After listening to him moan and groan and try to figure out the problem and then call the electronics store's service dept about it, I decided to eat my dinner and then get out for a dog walk. He was phoning the manufacturer when doggy and I left the house and he was still on hold when we got back 20 min. later. He has another call to make today since he didn"t get them to give us a free replacement or repair> ugh> oh< my computer is going wacko on me again. It will start to hightlight everything and the caps button doesn't work properly, etc. Ongoing issue never fully diagnosed, explained or resolved by the help desk. Okay, seems to be okay now. Surprised I didn't have to boot up.

Glad it's Friday. One of my bigger projects is finishing up, and I have a meeting in 10 min. to hand off the docs. Then back to the other stuff that took a back seat in the meantime. Nothing planned for tonight. Tomorrow I have a hair appointment, and Sat. night we're going to a friend's house for a birthday celebration. Nothing else going on. Hope it's not too rainy to take a couple dogwalks.

Okay, better get ready for my meetig.

Morning all,
Sorry - missed yesterday. Was just too tired when I got home. Eyes hurt, feet hurt, head hurt, body hurt. Been a tiring week or rather three days. The job is going well even if I haven't yet got a handle on the program. I'll be busy getting the doco straight for a while. The previous trainer has done some really good work but uses too many words. It's good but not professional.

Happy - I don't dislike trains at all. Rather them than a bus, however what does bug me is the 'connecting timetable' or rather lack of it. Yes I like to read and work on the train too.
Glad to read that the foot is doing rather better. What are you doing to the extremities - top and bottom - that you have problems with both at the same time?
Oh and I have a confession to make. Your birthday card which I carefully selected, paid for and wrote in, put in an envelope and ever so carefully addressed and stamped, IS STILL IN THE BOTTOM OF MY BAG! I will be posting it today, but I doubt it will get to you before Tuesday. I am so sorry!

Annie - hope that arm is feeling better now. Takes a few days for healing to begin with bones. Probably longer as we get older. But no doubt the bone cells are reaching out to each other as they should. It's just the pain of it.
Speaking of reaching out, have you done so yet with your father? Heal this before it goes too far. You don't have to agree, apologise or anything else, just start talking again. Life is far too short to cut the lines of communication any further.

Ceejay - fresh strawberries? Well there's a pleasant aroma. Our strawberries are nearly done. We will continue to get them in the stores, but they will be the hydroponic or hothouse varieties and they don't have much flavour.
Happy birthday to the uncle.

Michelle - I'll give you to next Thursday - your time to get the weight off. Whether it does or doesn't, I will then disclose the surprise but it won't be specifically for you then. It probably isn't anyway but I know you will enjoy this one.

Laura - sounds like an interesting time for you and the computers this week. The things that happen in the cyber world! Good going on the exercise stuff. We'll have to get Annie to sort out a challenge for you - who knows, maybe a surprise at the end.

Mel - good for you getting in a walk around the block. You need to down tools once in a while and just go smell the roses. No stoves??? Aren't they getting enough from the production line or is the normal problem of a shortage of materials?
Anyone who sneers at a person grieving for the loss of a loved one - be it animal, vegetable or mineral - has no finer feelings whatsoever. I hope one day they can find a way to actually become human. Learning to love someone is a big deal. Saying goodbye that love - and the love of any animal is unconditional - is the hardest thing anyone has to do.

Okay - I have another mountain of clothes in the laundry. I have a floor covered in white fur (what did I say about unconditional love) and the beds need changing, the kitchen cleaning and the junk is piling up. I will have to sort out a better more organised method of housework.

so happy Friday.

My usually comfy panties felt a bit odd today. I went to the restroom and was both horrified AND amused to see that I not only had put them on backwards, but INSIDE OUT as well Who da heck dressed me this morning? This takes loosing my mind to a whole new level. And yes, they were once again nice and comfy when I got them on right.

Shad
Enjoy your day.

mel
You deserve some down time so I say take it. We all need some rest and relaxation.

We are under a tornado and flash flood watch until 1 p.m. I'm not sure about going to my uncles today. i'm not driving under these circumstances. It's thundering and lightening at the moment but not bad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAD!!

Sounds like your first (partial) week on the job was a busy one. Glad you have some decent docs as a starting point.

Hi Mel! I might watch a movie on dvd this afternoon too. (BTW, bf got samsung to get us a free repair, including free shipping, but guess what - the dvd player's audio was working fine last night!! but we'll still send it in for repair.)

Today bf is out, doggy and I just got back from a walk, and it's too wet out to do any gardening. It's sort of gloomy, so it's a good time to be a couch potato. Or I could get out and shop. I don't seem to have enough spring tops - somewhere between long-sleeved sweaters and short sleeved summery tops. Maybe I'll hop over to Kohl's to check them out.

Okay, I'm off. Hellos to everyone!!

Did you survive the storms Ceejay? Hopefully you stayed in because the worst of the weather drifted up your way.

Laura - it's the perfect time to look for clothes - lots of sales going on all over. Happy shopping!

Mel - I think they should put the pocket in the front where we can get at it easier any way! Great minds think alike

I have blown away most of the day today in front of the computer. I'm not sure how or why but I did. It was a terribly stormy day up until now so not able to do much but I guess I'd better get busy and move my butt tonight and catch up. I don't have time to lazy about.

Hellos and love to the rest of the chicks - hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Morning all,
Couldn't get into the threads yesterday. Only as far as the Support groups. Don't know what was wrong, but something sure happened down here. Maybe it was the storms over the south of the good ol' USA.

Thank you all for the birtday wishes. Happy, sorry I missed you on facebook. I was probably laid out digesting a big breakfast. DB2 and DS2 + nephew took me out to a local cafe for breakfast and then the SIL arrived complete with the niecelet. Apparently the niece and partner had gone out with friends on Saturday night and something disagreed with her and she had to be brought home. Buses and cabs wouldn't take her (because she was being sick) so the parents had to gallop to the rescue, bring her home and have the niecelet overnight. However the niecelet was not being very friendly yesterday. Later I had an email from the DB1 and rung him to say hello, then the DS1 rung for a long chat, and then my sister rang as well. Finally Chris from Japan rang and DS2 and I headed out for dinner. I had quite a few emails from friends as well. I am a spoilt person.

Happy - your card is now on its way. Should be there in about 10 days. I could get it there quicker by delivering it myself, but hey not this week. Loved the panties story. Good one. I thought I was the only stupid one here.

Mel, thank you too for the e-card. Enjoyed the cake!

Since we have a public holiday around here, it is a chance for me to get on with some bits and pieces in the house before having to go back to work tomorrow. I'll be back to check up on you later.

I did go to my uncles but I really debated on it. Just as I was putting things in the car the weather man shouted out a tornado warning in the path which I would be traveling. I'm thinking his information was delayed somewhat. There was sunshine over my house. We did get some rain and heavy lightning but lucky for me the power stayed on.

happy

When I checked the radar before took the road trip to my uncles it looked as thought the storms had combined over your area. Was there any damage?

Shad
Sounds like you had a very good day. It's so sad that a little one get sick. Hope she is feeling bettter.

My week end has been productive despite the storms. I was wrong on the age of my uncle. He turned 79 years old instead of 78. You can not tell it in his face nor build but his last back surgery just about has done him in. He's itching to get outside. And get this after he's been taking forteo to help build his bones, he's getting a head full of hair.

Good morning to you ladies,

Another Monday rolls around. I could use a week off to catch up but they tell me I have to go to work so off I go.

The weekend storms pounded a good deal of the azalea blossoms off the bushes. Now it's just looking messy out there. DH has a never ending job.

And so do I it seems. I'll come back at lunch time and check in with you. Keep the coffee on warm for me
