  • Oh My Goodness is it ever beautiful outside. High today 87. whew who...I ran to Pet Supply Plus to get Hella's doggie food and had a real hard time of it coming back in the office. I am hoping it stays nice so when I get home I can walk Hella. Last night when I left work it was sunshiny on the northside but by the time I drove home to the Southeast side of Indy it was storming. Go figure! I would love to take the afternoon off to enjoy the weather, heck I would even caddy for someone if they wanted to golf. I can hardly wait to start my garden, it is so therapeutic to work in the yard. Enough babble...
  • Annie - I'm jealous of the beautiful weather you're having. It's cloudy, dreary and rainy here. I've got at least another month before I can plant anything...never know when we'll have a frost around here. I did a little yard cleanup on Friday, and can't wait to do actual planting and mowing!
  • Hey everyone. Busy as heck today. Maybe I'll get back here tonight to catch up on your posts. I'm skipping the movie tonight. I didn't vote because nothing appealed to me very strongly, and the final choice was "She's Out of Your League". More of a guy thing, not sure why they picked it. If I'd voted, I would have gone w/ "Greenberg" (w/ Ben Stiller, except he made such a jack$$ of himself on the Oscars show, I'm not in the mood to see him even though the movie got good reviews). I admit I'm sort of curious about "Hot Tub Time Machine". But not curious enough to have voted for it!

    Okay, back to work.
  • Laura - My DH had a chance to get free tickets to Hot Tub Time Machine a couple weeks ago, but I told him I wasn't interested. Instead I went to Zumba and we watched TV, probably much more enjoyable.

  • HAPPY WEDNESDAY CHICKS. THE WEEK IS MOVING ALONG AT A RAPID PACE FOR ME. MUST BE BECAUSE WE'RE BUSY. WE'VE BEEN CLOUDY ON AND OFF BUT NO TORRENTIAL RAINS YET. NOT MUCH NEW HERE. S.O.S
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY.

ANNIE....I KNEW YOU KNEW SORRY ALL MY RAIN WAS STUCK OUT YOUR WAY. TORNADO WARNINGS?? STAY UNDER THE COVERS 87 DEGREES NOW! WOW...YOU GUYS ARE HEATING UP FAST. WE'RE IN THE LOW 70'S STILL BUT HUMID.

MICHELLE~ GLAD YOU'RE FEELING BETTER. SPRING IS THAT TRICKY TIME OF THE YEAR. ALSO GOOD NEWS THAT THE HOUSE IS MOVING ALONG AND THE REPAIRS ARE COVERED.

CEEJAY~ I LOVE THAT FONT YOU ARE USING! REALLY STANDS OUT. I HAD MY A/C ON YESTERDAY AND GALD YOU WERE COOL TOO. GAS IS GOING UP FOR THE SUMMER ALREADY?? I THOUGHT I HEARD SOMETHING ON THE NEWS LAST NIGHT. YIKES!! HOPE YOU ENJOY THE WEEKEND FOR YOURSELF

GOING TO THE NEXT PAGE NOW TO SEE WHO'S THERE............

LAURA...HOT TUB TIME MACHINE??? SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER GUY THING HOPE NEXT MONTH HAS BETTER CHOICES. LOL
  • Hump Day...Yeah...we are scheduled for a wonderful weekend here, 70s and sunny. I am banking on it as I have the weekend OFF at CVS....Now what to do? Probably start hoeing my garden, maybe even plant some stuff. Seeds anyway.

Got the backyard grass cut last evening. If only Bella could fertilize evenly. Certain areas of the yard are thick, green and soft. Maybe I should spread her poo in the areas where she does not go. lol Was going to plant flowers in the front flower bed, but ran out of energy. Once I have a 'rita, I lose interest. hmmmm, maybe not have that 'rita?

Laura...I have a cute picture of DD and I at the movie theather. They had a big cardboard display of the hot tub from that movie with the cast in the tub and their faces cut out that we put our faces in the head parts and took pictures. Shu that was a long sentence, did it make sense? We did not go see that movie but took the pix anyway.

MELLIE....cloudy with rain moving in today, but out for the weekend. I will take the rain today. I have to work at CVS tonight anyway. I thought you were retired? What is all this too busy working stuff? I am confused, Ms. Mellie...

Hidee Ho to all...gotta get busy. I am having a hard time focusing on work, all I want to do is eat. I think I am losing my mind.

    Loves and hugs,
  • ANNIE...PLEASE DON'T LOSE YOUR MIND OR I WILL HAVE TO GO OUT AND FIND IT..AND I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT THIS WEEK...MAYBE NEXT WEEK
PS....HAVE THE RITA AND FORGET THE LAWN!!!!
  • Happy MidWeek ladies -

I did 1/2 hour of Zumba last night, plus some weights and abs. I'm not up for the hour long advanced Zumba tonight, so I'll either get my cardio by taking a Step class or doing some seriously cleaning/tidying/organizing. I just found out there's a free document shredding event in a couple weeks....so all our backlog of stuff that needs to be shredded that has gotten too massive for our little home shredder will be bagged up and taken there. Also, our county is holding a "dump off just about any of your junk" event for old electronics, hazardous chemicals, and expired medications on the same day. Gotta get it all cleared out these next two weeks! Yay!!

Annie - While you're enjoying the 87 degree weather, we had big boomers last night, with more rain today...changing to SNOW! Yes, that's right! SNOW! After 80 degree weather last week. It's just some cruel joke that Mom Nature is playing on us...teasing us with beautiful weather only to backhand us with the cold and snow. At least it should only be 1"-2", and should melt quickly...so no shoveling should be necessary. Enjoy your weekend off and your warm weather! We're supposed to have 60's and sunny this weekend. I'm also having an all I want to do is eat day, so I'm trying to stay away from the cafeteria...except to get water...and I go up there with no money on me...not until lunch time.

Ceejay - Can't believe you're already using A/C? We've finally turned our heat off...but may need it on again tonight.

Mel - I hope you're not overdoing it with all that work. Take care, girlfriend. Thanks for the "arse" cartoon! Too funny!

Shad - You're enjoying wine after working hard, and Annie's enjoying 'ritas. I can't decide whose house to go to, but probably Annie's since she's in driving distance.

    A big and to all.

    Love ya' worldly sistas,
  • MELLIE...I think that is my problem lately...too many 'ritas.
  • Annie - Our lawn needs mowing now too, after all the rain, but the ground was really wet yesterday. And all the wind left a lot of twigs and branches in the yard (we have two giant trees). Bf will have to do a twig and poop pickup before he mows. Better him than me!

Michelle - Nice that you'll be able to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff And deadlines are good motivators! I'm okay w/ this cooler weather we're getting right now - as long as it's nice this weekend.

Mel - Yeh, Hot Tub Time Machine does sound like another guy movie, but the time travel part interests me. I hope it's just the language that people need help w/ on the census forms, because I have serious concerns about the future of this country if people need help answering the questions!

Ceejay - Glad your a/c is working, and a new water heater - hot dog! Stay cool.

Shad - I'm just glad my clock radio doesn't just change the time anytime it wants...

Happy - Any decision on the car yet? Is this the car you'll be driving? Your vote should have more weight, no?

Nothing much to report. Yesterday morning I walked to the train and it was pouring. On the way home it was warm and humid. This morning rain was threatening again, so I walked again. Boo. Once I get spoiled w/ a 3 minute bike ride, the 8 minute walk seems long, lol.

I did a 30 min BE workout after work. I can now do 3-4 men's pushups! I'm so excited because it seems like I could never do more than one (barely). Looking forward to working up to one full set of 10-12, and then more. Until then, I'll be working up to multiple sets of the knee version. I missed DWTS on Monday, but saw last night that Buzz was voted off. Too bad - I heard that Kate G. hasn't improved much at all... Watched American Idol (recorded earlier in the evening) and enjoyed it. I enjoy watching the shows once they get to the top 10 competitors, and I'm especially interested this season because one of them is a guy from where I live - Lee DeWyze from Mt. Prospect.

Okay, better get this posted and back to work. Have a great day everyone!
  • Hey - just a quick check in. Lotsa crap going on in my life right now. I don't feel much like posting. At least I have DH to lean on. I'll be back eventually. Sorry.
  • Laura...good for you on the guy push ups. I can get the down part of the first push up, it is the up part I struggle with and it doesn't happen.lol Good job on exercising too!!
  • Happy....HUGE HUGS to you my sista friend.
  • Annie
You are not losing you mind. Just over worked. You need a me day.

    Mel
Loved the "poem". I'm still laughing but it's all true. Don't work to hard this week.

    Happy
Hugs, things will get better. Think about the week end.

    Michelle
Do you take a day or tow off from exercising?

    Laura,
You are going to town on that organization. Hope I'm still in the mood to do some more of it over the week end.

Not much else is going on today at work so I've been passing the time cleaning. Pollen is every where.
