Hi everyone !

Sorry I haven't posted - we have just had a super busy weekend! At least I am keeping up my challenges - I gues I am forming habits - that's the whole point, right red?

Hmmmm - the scale will not be my friend tomorrow I'm afraid. Some - ok many -of my food choices haven't been great this weekend, so I am hoping for a no gain week. We'll see what tomorrow brings! Sunday agaon, which is my built in "skip day" on the exercise - good thing too 'cause I am exhausted!

As for my challenges:

Water Challenge
Drink 80 oz of water per day - 0 passes 14/21

and
Exercise Challenge - starting slow!
At least 10 minutes of exercise 6 days a week - 0 passes 12/21

Woohoo! 7/21 days of my at-least-20-minutes-a-day exercise challenge complete! I did only yoga today, but 3 times this week my workout was 1 hour long (minimal breaks/no breaks). I worked out to "30 day shred" 2 times, 2 times "Banish fat boost metabolism", 1 time "No more trouble zones", and "Goddess Booty" (Yoga) 3 times. I hope next week I can keep up or even exceed this. The downfall is that I have gained a few pounds, but I do notice inches coming off/ toning/ more stamina and endurance.

Jolly, Grats on your weight loss!!

Caela, Good luck using the work out dvds, and I totally will take a look at those yoga ones you mentioned because I think I need a yoga dvd that is a little more serious than what I am using.

Thanks Mikan. And congrats to you too on your 7 days down. Tex - glad you are forming habits, even through the busy times.

I don't know what to post this morning, just know I needed to post. I did do 2 miles of 3 blocks walk/3 blocks jog this morning. Feel good.

But don't feel good because it is my Mom's birthday, but she is going to a follow up appointment for my step dad - results of prostate biopsy. Got a call late last night that a friend of mine had fallen ddown the stairs, and sprained both ankles and broke one foot. Then, another friend's stepdad past. I could use all the positive energy and prayers I can get.

thanks for listening, and hope everyone else has a better day

Jollygirl - Wow! Long time! Great to see you back at 3FC!! Congrats on the weight loss!!! Did you move back to the Metro Milwaukee area? I still live in Washington County, and I'm a member at the Y up here.

Red - Sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I hope things get better for you soon. You can move successfully through this.

I just got back from vacay yesterday...and between a red eye flight and a busy, but way fun vacation, I was exhausted and slept for several hours yesterday. So I haven't had much time to catch up. I woke up today to realize that I was out of most of my healthy foods....so I'm doing the best I can today and will grocery shop tonight. All the walking and lugging bags througn the airports has done a number on my back....so I'm not sure about Zumba tonight. But I'll go tomorrow. I'm also going to figure out what challenges I want to pursue for the next three weeks.

Sorry, I've run out of time for chatting...lots of work to catch up on. I've missed you all a lot!

Hugs,

Welcome back Michelle. Nope, still out in the sticks

Everyone, I can use all the positive energy and good wishes - my stepdad was diagnosed with early stage cancer.

On a plus note, I was biggest loser tonight at TOPS. Of course, having weighed in AFTER drinking a bottle of water last week did help a bit.

Everyone, have a good night. Make the most of each moment.

Later

Jolly - Sorry to hear about your step-dad. Sending lots of positive energy and : to you and your family. I've lost so many loved ones to cancer, but I also know a lot of survivors... at least for your step-dad it's still in the early stage. Is it prostate cancer? Because my dad lived for many, many full, active and very happy years after his initial prostate cancer diagnosis.

Last night, we had BIG storms - not as bad as around Milwaukee and the area to the south though - but bad enough to snap 1/2 of our next door neighbor's huge tree and bring it to the ground. At least it didn't land on either of our houses. DH and I were up late comforting the doggies, who do not like thunderstorms. I think it's time to go get

Yesterday was crazy busy, but I managed my challenges.

Today, I wiped out the water in record time, but I did not want to exercise. I sat there procrastinating about those 10 measly minues - I just didn't want to do it ..... BUT THEN I remembered you all, so I lifted my bootie off the couch and hit the exercise - Thanks red for making me accountable!

Water Challenge
Drink 80 oz of water per day - 0 passes 16/21

and
Exercise Challenge - starting slow!
At least 10 minutes of exercise 6 days a week - 0 passes 14/21

Hi all Thanks for the well wishes. Day 5 of the no soda/no frappe challenges met. All pauses left.

Way to go Tex on getting your exercise in. I know that can be tough. I didn't work out this morning - I was kind of fried from the late night storm and basement dwelling. Had everything packed to go after work, but I never want to work out at the end of the day. Called my sis to have her kick me in thebutt. Which she did, and I got mine in too. GOOD JOB TEX!

Everyone else, hope you are having a good one. Red, hope to hear from you soon

Hi folks! Hope everyone is doing okay. Just checking in while watching the longest ever tennis match at Wimbledon. It's 45-44 in the 5th set right now. Hope it ends soon so I can go do stuff.

Doing my challenges every day except for my "career challenge" to write. My mind won't cooperate with me. Will decide on a new one and restart on Sunday.

Sending positive energy and vibes for good/better health for your step dad, Jolly! And all of you guys, too.

Will check in tomorrow after catching up on posts, etc.

Thanks Caela. Yeah, I have to check in on Wimbledon.

Day 6 - no frappe and no soda. All pauses left.

I need to get some sleep. 2 nights of storms (and stressed pup) have taken a toll. Night all

Fake it til you make it Red. Pick something you can succeed at, and celebrate all the success - big and little. You can do this. You know what to do, you just have to remind yourself.

Mojo is right there waiting for you to come get it

Everyone else, have a great day.

Red - Listen to Jolly...your mojo is right there...you just gotta grab it. Fake it 'till you make it. You know what to do...and you know you can do this (we all know you can).

I'm going to start with new challenges in the next day or two. What I thought was jet lag is now a stomach bug. I'm trying to find healthy food that I can keep down. (sorry about TMI). I haven't exercised in days. I dang well better get over this by tomorrow cuz summer in Wisconsin is way too short to be sick on the weekends.

to all of you for doing so great on your challenges!!

Fake it to you make it Red. Great saying and so true, Jolly. The tennis match ended 70-68 in the 5th set. Crazy. They gave the players and ump awards on the court afterwards!

Mikan - Been doing the shred since Monday. Not a Jillian fan, but love interval & circuit training workouts like this. It's a very effective way to improve your fitness if you stick with it. Doing a themed core strength and flexibility week starting Monday. I'll let you know which yoga vids I like the best.

Diyana - Yikes. Sorry. You might want to take pedialyte (or sports drinks) to rehydrate. I keep hearing about this Zumba and saw a clip online. Looked like so much fun!

Tex - You are totally doing awesome on your challenges. Wow! Nice job!

Hope everyone is doing okay and keep up the good work!
