Cheercoach0101- It's so great to have you! you're doing great so far. Maybe you ccan try some Workout DVDs. I'm a fan of the ones by Jillian Michaels- especially the 30 Day Shred. Or, if you have cable, there are usually some workout videos in the on demand section.
Matilda- Thanks so much!!! It's crazy how you just wake up one day and it really hits you how much you've changed!
kay lee- if you've lost 25 lbs, you can definitely keep doing it and reach your goal!
I hope you ladies enjoy your day. I do miss being with my fam, but I'm looking forward to seeing them soon.
I've been staying active this weekend, but I've also been eating some good food too. We went to an Ethiopian restaurant last night, and the fish was SO good. They broil it and it's seasoned well and crispy on the outside. I also got a tattoo on my inner wrist. It's an infinity sympol with possibilities written in it. AND I ran into an old friend on the street, and she said, "I thought that was you, but I wsan't sure. You lost so much weight! You look so good." Just another thing that added to the greatness of my weekend.
Hey, ladies! I would love to join you all for MUCH needed support!
Admittedly, I have not read all the posts but it's almost midnight and I'm trying to convince myself to get up at 4:00 AM to get to the gym for at least an hour and a half before work. So I will have to come back and read them all over the next couple days. I hope you don't mind.
Had a GREAT day yesterday!! Today...not so much!! Had a tire blowout on me and my baby at 6am and no cell phone in the car. Had dropped my hubby off for work and had to wait TWO HOURS before help came. But I'm better now.
Welcome Kay Lee, Blutiful, Nieceyeff!! Jump in and join the party.
I've been MIA because of the Crescent City Classic last weekend (Easter weekend). I finished it and am now ready to train for my 1/2 marathon. Can you believe I have never done a 5K? Me neither, so I'm doing one on
April 25th. I'm going to start doing those whenever I can and trying to improve my time!! the CCC was such a fun race! a little disorganized and the city issued some tickets (scandal) but I'm planning on doing the race again next year.
Be: call me crazy but I'm doing the 30DS every morning (today is day 2 for me) and I plan to run 3 times a week. I actually burn more calories running than I do with 30DS but I need that strength training so it's going to work out great. Tonight will be my first time running since Saturday. I just finished day 2 of the shred and I'm only going to do a 30 minute jog tonight when I get off from work. I have to train for that 1/2 marathon in Oct or Feb. I'm going to be working with a coach for the marathon. If any of you girls want to join me, the marathon just started last year and I heard it was lots of fun. It's in New Orleans, LA. I'll keep you posted as I know more details.
Oh, BTW... girl, you look GREAT in that outfit... I'm going to have to post a picture of myself soon. Not a full body shot but at least something so you guys can see who you are talking to.
Brit: Awesome job on that 10 pound loss. You are doing such a good job honey.
Cheercoach! Have you tried any workout DVD's? I don't belong to a gym so most of my workouts are done in my home. I'm currently doing the 30DS that Bea mentioned and when I finish that I'll be starting a Biggest Loser DVD and then moving on to the P90X in June. When the weather is nice and I get off work early I do try to jog outside. If not, I have to use my treadmill.
Kaylee.... glad to have you. You have done an awesome job losing 25 pounds. What's your plan to do your mini goals? The support here is awesome. I may not log on everyday but I do try to keep up with what's going on and you can get some really good advice and support in this forum.
Blutiful we all have to start somewhere, just jump on in. You're here!
Nieceye..... welcome
Jiggles... sorry about your car.. that sucked!
Oh well girls... off to work... Hope everyone has a great week!
Hi everyone, I'm Tamm and this is the start to a new journey for me. I am overweight and ready to take this trip head on. I am petite and my 212 lb looks like a lot more. I feel okay for the most part, but I like many others tend to deny little warning signs... for instance, out of breath after one flight of stairs. I was in Macy's with my oldest daughter just the other day trying to convince myself that I need some new clothing. All I wanted to do was purchase perfume. I HATE SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES. I hate walking past the more attractive regular women sized racks to sashay over to the PLUS SIZE. Is it just me or do most PLUS SIZE clothes look like 65 & up prints. I'm not to far from 50 but good lord I never want to look it. Everything looked like giant land to me. Okay I need that 2X, but I'm short, why is the print so huge and god do I need to start buying blouses with applique gardenias on them. I want to feel more feminine and yeah (pray for me) dainty, but stuck in a rut. Okay, got that out of my system (ranting). I look forward to giving when I can and getting as much support as I need to succeed. I want to start off by thanking all of you who share your struggles with weight, this dang thing is so personal and I know it. Let's help each other become just as beautiful outside as I know we are inside. I'm a down home cooking maniac, so if I ever start talking recipes, somebody send me a virtual slap.
Hi ladies!!! This has been a bad month for me, as most of you know I work for an accounting firm and tax season has me in a rut!! Thank god next week its over and I can get back on plan. My goal is to stay op for a entire month.....eating right and working out. I need all the support I can get!!
I'm feeling good today. I was wearing a skirt that I have had for 7 years and was just able to get in it. I looked good. The skirt is fitted and I can really see how much weight I've lost. I got lots of compliments and was in a meeting and was actually able to cross my legs without struggling to keep them crossed. It motivated me to up my game.
Matilda - Another week and we will be here to encourage and support you to your goal and afterwards.
Heeeeey everybody!!! In my mind, I though I had posted earlier, but I guess I didn't.
to all of the new people! You'll definitely find support here!
I got back on it today. I jumped in on C25K at week 5, day 2. I can't believe how close the race is!!! Less than a month! I tried to eat pretty well today too.
Matilda- my mom does taxes, so I know how you feel. Maybe getting in some short walks can help bring down the stress?
Briiiiiiittttt!!!! - You are giving me hope to keep going. You look fabulous!!
Beaka - All this racing going on may motivate me to hop on the race band wagon...maybe not!!
I've been having a great week. I have on a pair of pants that were comfy a couple weeks ago but are real loose now. I won't put them in the give away pile until I can replace them. Slim pickings in the closet. I need to replace a bunch of stuff but waiting to get to a small 16, almost 14. By then everything will be falling off me.
Bea, girl, the race will be here before you know it... I'll be cheering you on from here!!!! You can do it girl!!!!
Jiggles, Running is such a great way to burn cals and rev up those endorphins.. it's such a natural high!! I'm really missing it this week. I'm going to try and go for a run in the morning. I've been doing the 30 day shred this week and not able to get any runs in...
I'm so excited for you girl.. getting into clothes that you have not been able to wear in years is soooo fun!
Brit, you look HOT!!!! ... I've been told by several people that I'm inspiring them, BUT you are inspiring me!!!
How's INSANITY going??? I saw the infomercial today and I'm SOLD
I want it!!! I was kinda waiting until I lost some more wait but I'm not sure. What do you think? Since you're on week 2, you can give me some really good advice. Is it INSANE?? Are you noticing a change in your body?? We can see a change, but I want your take on this...
Matilda: you know we will be here when you need us .. that's what I love about this forum. We stick together and motivate each other. speaking of...

Chunkhoney- welcome! I'm new too and I couldn't believe how much weight I lost my counting calories in the first few weeks. It's amazing how things change just by watching what we put in our mouth!
Brit-Grats! 10 lbs in one month?! that's awesome. I've been looking into the insanity program. who knows if i'll actually do it!
And welcome to Kay Lee, cheercoach, blutifulscorpion, nieceyeffbaby, and tammb!
I am down to 184.5. woot woot. That's about a 3 lb weight loss in 2 weeks. I am surprised I didn't gain any! in the last week I've has 2 binge days and I've been slacking on the workouts. Not to worry, I realize this is counterproductive to my diet and am back on the right track! My roller derby team is adding another day of practice to the week, so I'll definitely be getting 6-7 hours of skating in. Well, time for a new week! My goal is to eat under my advised caloric intake all week, and exercise 3 times. Anyone else have any goals for this week?
