  • Hi all I am down two pounds this week! I attribute this to my work outs and giving up fast food. My first mini goal is to be a size 18 (currently a tight 20) by May 26 (my god daughter's graduation) so my plan daily workouts and removing negativity from my life. Heck that might be more rewarding than the smaller dress size. Peace.
  • Kay Lee - Congrats on the loss. Keep up the good work.
    Darling - ROLLER DERBY!!! I think I was 10 last time I saw a roller derby! That should be a serious workout.
    Brit - I think you are doing a great job. You look wonderful. I'm trying to keep up with you.
    Pretty - I was thinking the same thing this morning...WHERE IS CAKE??

    I've been doing really well. I started doing a "push" day on Saturday and man it's been good. I did Tae Bo, lifting, and abs my whole body was aching. I'm going to the gym today to do some lifting, incline walking and running. I'm going to meet my goal. I put my dress on that I worked so hard to get in by my husband's birthday and there is more room in it as of this morning. I was so hyped. It looks like I'm gonna have to go shopping before I planned.
  • Just wanted to say "hi" and that I am glad to be a part of this thread.

    I am down 11lbs since the start of my weightloss journey (again). I am trying to focus on eating healthier foods, and avoiding the lure of unhealthy food options.

    I am also subtley trying to help my friends as well with healthier eating. I am hoping to do it without it being so obvious (i.e, I will saute some greens w/o pork rather than boiling them for a long time with a hamhock), and maybe they will try it in the future.

    It is hard at times because I have some friends who are into eating healthier and even eating vegan (which i like), but another group of friends still kind of turn their noses up at it.
  • Hello ladies!!! I hope all is well. Im doing pretty good trying to get back in the groove of things. Im at 240 which isnt bad I gained three lbs. No harm done Ill get back op. Im going to start back going to the gym, its just be hectic at work.

  • so i found these pants i couldn't even get past my thighs months ago..now they come up and button nicely..next goal is to get them baggy at the waist!

    one thing i hate about being smaller is that when i go shopping..all the cute stuff is in the bigger sizes! never knew a 16 was so hard to find in plus size stores!

    still hovering the low 190's but this week is TOM so no weighing in for a couple days but i love the lil 2-3 pound drop in my weight it goes off.180's here i come!

    (still cant believe im actually typing "1's" in front of my weight!!)
  • Hey ya'll! Just checking in. TOM has been killing me this weekend. I'm still trying to kick the running up a notch. Friday I was supposed to run 25 min, but I could only crank out 21. I'm gonna go for it again in the gym tomorrow and I think I'll be alright. I haven't eaten well this weekend, but I do plan on working out hard and getting back on track today. I have one month until I go home again, and I hope I can get below 190 by then. I'm really trying to crank it up. Hope everything is good with ya'll!

    PrettyPearls: Thanks for the support! This running is hard, but I'm sticking with it and each day I try to do better than the last. I can't wait until I can say I can run a full 5K straight through!

  • Matilda - I was about to ask the same thing. How has everything been going?

    I'm doing good on my workout and eating but my left shoulder is hurting. It started hurting yesterday after I finished lifting. I was going to do a epsom salt soak last night but wasn't sure if I would be able to pull my self out of the tub.
  • I got up early today. I got some breakfast bars and I have been drinking a lot of water. I'm about to get to the gym soon and I feel like conquering things today....so thats good.

  • Hello ladies I have been op for sometime I have to get back into gear. Im really making a pack with myself and for the next three months Im going to commit to counting calories and working out regularly. Id love it if you gals would join me. From May 1st until the end of July. Post your workouts and everything lets motivate each other. I need you guys to push me and we can push each other. I really need to get back on plan!!

  • Matilda - I'm in. Are we going to do daily or weekly posts of our workouts. I think it's a great idea. How is your workout going so far.

    Brit - I was worried but so far things look like they are going to be ok. Since you are so young your skin should snap back just give it some time. I do a lot of toning exercises. You look good in your profile pic girl.

    Energie - What type of workouts do you do?

    I'm really excited. I looked at my measurements from today compared them to what I was when I first started measuring and have lost 6 inches in my breast, 6 in my waist, 6 in my belly (YAY) and 6 in my hips. I was so excited. I'm trying to get to a size 16 by my daughter's birthday (May 16, 2010)!! I'm feeling really good though.
  • Hello. I just subscribed to this thread today after noticing it for the first time. I had to restart my weightloss plan on March 20 and have lost 16.2 pounds so far. For exercise, I have been using Chalean Extreme with added cardio. My goal is to be 150 and in a size 10 or less by the end of this summer and 125 by the end of this year. I love exercise; my problem is usually with food. It's funny that my mother would tell me I was fat in high school and so I tried every fad diet in existence and ended up gaining weight. Sadly, I don't know why I was convinced by a 350 pound woman that I was fat at 126. By the time I left high school, I was about 150 and added another 30 my freshman year of college. I exited college at 165 but have since gained 25 pounds since starting medical school. I'm so close to being my pre-medical school weight, and I know I'm going to be thrilled when I make it and plan on celebrating by going to the beach.

    Matilda- I'm in. I really need to be held accountable to reach my summer goal.

    Jiggle- I think we could figure it out. I dont mind posting daily or weekly. I just need the extra push. Starting monday Im back at the gym

    Brit- Skin really depends on each person. Im not really worried especially since my goal weight is not that low. I dont really want to go below 180 I actually love being a thick chick I just dont want to be in the 200's. Add strenght training in and swimming is also good for overall toning. Increase protein in your meals as well.

    Lets do this girls!!!!!!!! Im sick of just being stuck and not getting anywhere. I really feel that I should be below 200 at this point but I havent been dedicated. Im not giving up though.
