Good Morning Everyone.

Dreemsz - Welcome. 30 Day Shred ain't for sissies. It's a great workout though. I love it but I switch it up sometimes.

Cake - I haven't worked out til this morning. I did the 30DS. Plan to go to the gym and get some running in but we will see.

Matilda - It's great that you were able to jump start your progress with those six pounds. I probably need to do a detox.

Brit - Digging that profile picture. Go Go Get it Get it!!

mrsemery - every ounce adds to the total loss.

Well I'm back on my Monday grind. After the bed, I took yesterday off from working out. I stayed on plan for eating though. Can't let that get out of control.

Good morning everyone! The snow is coming down like crazy here in Michigan, but it's a beautiful day and I'm loving it!

Today was my first weigh in since starting again on Monday and I'm down 9.25 pounds! Yeaaaah! I know much of it is water weight which I expected but it's weight off my body, so I'm happy.

Matilda - hmmm...maybe I've been doing my "detox" wrong this whole time because I've been eating meat. Only very lean meat though with no skin or surface fat, but I guess it's not really a detox if you're eating meat eh? I guess I need to do more research on that.

Brit & CakeBatter - thanks for the welcome! Brit, the HAG is on her way for me too and I usually get UNBELIEVABLE cravings so I'm trying to have talks with myself to "keep it under control, Angie" LOL

anajjana - I'm trying something called The Every Other Day Diet. Its principles are based on calorie cycling. You eat low calories for 1-3 days (depending on which plan you are using in the program), then you have a day of high calories/high carbs. Then you go back to low calories. The eating plan is pretty specific (protein shakes [that contain vegetables and fruit], nuts, apples, lean meat and as many veggies as you like throughout th day...preferably raw). I eat low cal for 3 days, then have a high cal/carb day, then another 3 days of low cal, then high, etc. I've been on the plan for a full 7 days and have lost 9.25 pounds (but a lot of that is water I'm sure). Today was my second high cal day in an 8 day cycle. I try to keep the first high cal day very clean (only healthy carbs), but I let loose a bit on the 2nd high carb day. That pita with fries was sooooo good and guilt free!! This plan is definitely not for everyone, but a plan that lets me have a favorite meal and I still lose weight? That's my kind of plan! I also still have plenty of energy on my low cal days to do heavy workouts. So far so good.

Brit - I AM LOVING THAT PIC O-KAAAAY you are doing awesome and yes those compliments really mean a lot.

Matilda - You did great. I am curious though...Do you think you could have had meat that one time and continued on? Sort of like weightloss in general when you crash and have a donut or something and then you just go right back to it. Anyway just a thought. keep up the freat work you broke the 40's. YAY

Beaka - Zumaba Jogging Dang girl you getting in. You always make me feel great BTW thanks. Beaka you have come so far and you are just awesome. We have been going thru this thang a long time!

Angie - Welcome!!!!! the more the merrier I always say. I can totally relate to be being fit at some point and then look back and be like "hey, what happene. and then you want it all back RIGHT NOW". But you wil back in NO TIME. thanks for the props

Pearl - C25K and Fat Smash are great programs . Glad to hear you shook up your routine a bit with the extra workout, You will definitely reap the benefits

Jiggle - WOW that is workout. Goes to show how much being fit helps in daily life though. Good thing you have been working as much as you have, you were prepared!

Mytime - Whoa 3lbs. That is awesome. Congrats
cake-it would have been hard but the good thing is after the detox you tend to want more fruits and veggies.

Calorie counting is pretty easy if you ask me, and I personally cant stand cooking so I hardly cook!

anajjana - The 30 Day Shred is a dvd workout by Jillian Michaels. I actually tried it today and will do so probably every other day.

I use to do the Body for Life program that basically promotes cardio on alternate days then switching between lower body and upper body weight training. The plan calls for working out 6 days a week. On the 7th day you can have a cheat day. U can eat anything you want and no workout is required. I normally don't go over board b/c I want to keep what I lost off. Trying to get hubby to do the plan with me. Nothing like having a workout partner. Still not holding my breathe on that. LOL

Hands are full and gotta cook dinner. EVeryone have have a great evening!

BTW, what detox programs do you guys use. I tried a pill detox but it was way too many pills. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Mrsemery I'm doing the Fast Smash Detox over 9 days by Dr. Ian Smith (Celebrity Fit Club). It's not too bad. I usually crash and burn on diets that don't allow carbs or cokes but I'm actually doing pretty good on this one. It's loaded with fruits and veggies and lots of other healthy foods. I'm on day 8 of 9 and can't wait until tomorrow (last day). On Wednesday my husband will be be baking some turkey wings (without skin) and I will probably do red or white beans in the crock pot while I'm working. That along with brown rice and a salad and it's a wrap!! The first 9 days are the hardest but starting Wednesday I can also add things like Special K or Cheerios and I'm looking forward to the addition.

Cake: I'm like so in awe of you. I really want to be a jogger or runner. I'd like to run a marathon next year. That is going to be my goal for 2011! I wish I would have thought of it sooner because that could have been my gift to myself for my 40th birthday this year. I'm working my way there slowly. I'm doing a 5k in April (walking more than jogging) but it's a start. How long did it take you to build yourself up to those 10 miles?

Matilda: All you have to do is jump back on the Detox or start Phase II. Sounds like this plan is very forgiving and will take you back with open arms.
I like counting calories too. I use the body bugg and it keeps track of my calories in and calories out. With the Detox I'm getting in like 1000 calories or less a day!! I have to up that real soon because I'm burning almost 2500 calories a day with exercise and regular household and work activities.

Brit: OMG.. 71 pounds lost. I'm impressed!!! You have lost a whole little person!! Do you have starting and current pics?? I'm working on putting up a real picture. I started really exercising after I spent a weekend with some sorority sisters and we took pictures. I did not know who the girl was in my spot! To make matters worse, I had to take a photo for my passport. I won't even go there about that picture. Let's just say, that was my JUMP START!

Dreemsz: I want to do the 30 DS but don't plan to start until April 1st. Keep me posted on your progress!! I've heard it's really good and your earn every inch and pound that you lose.

beaka you are doing an awesome job!! I agree with the advice that Brit gave to Matilda. If you fall off one day, just start over the next. I'm sure you already know that because of your progress to this point.

Angie: 9.2 pounds gone, I'm doing the happy dance for you!! I agree, no matter how they left, they are gone.. you are that much closer to a healthier you!!

Default A new day!

Good morning ladies!!

I had a great morning. I started my day with C25K and then had a protein shake (with lots of fruits and veggies). I had to make sure there'd be nothing left of that big ole pita wrap I ate yesterday!

How's everyone this beautiful morning?

Hey ladies,

I had a fight with 6 Thin Mints and 12 doritos. I know I binged but I still counted them out for some reason. Of course i felt terrible after but I have been totally on track today and i will be hitting the gym this afternoon.

Pearls- I have been running for a year. I think I reached ten miles somewhere around August 09 and I ran my first Half Marathon in Nov 09. Sooo the farthest I have ever run is 13.1 miles and I getting ready for a Marathon here soon. 5K's are awesome! One of my fav distances. You will do great. Keep up posted. ANd keep us posted on your Marathon for next year

matilda - More power to ya! I can't do step to save my life. I am like a fish outta water

anajjana - I personally do WW's. I love it. I never feel like I CAN"T have someting.i jUst keep variety and if I am running low on time or energy i can always have one of those frozen dinners with the points on the front. JMO though. I am biased since I lost 50 pounds on it

anybody I missed

I have a little now, but I want to use something to prevent more. Any suggestions? Other than cocobutter
