I did pretty good on my last one--no foraging after dinner, but it was such a problem wiht me that I think I need to be mindful about it again,

So: no grazing after dinner 2 pauses, 2 days completed
hands out of co-workers' candy dishes 2 pauses 2 days completed.

My problem is mindless eating, can't you tell?

Zumba is a lot of fun, isn't it? As long as I am in the middle and can't see myself in the mirror, that is.

Nada - Those are really good challenges! Zumba is fun...but I like being in the front row so I can see the instructor clearly. I rarely if ever look at myself in the mirror....mostly I watch the instructor.

Welcome Djo!

I hope everyone is doing well on their challenges.

Red - I know you're going through a rough time...just want you to know I'm thinking of you and sending you and :

I had a great day on my challenges yesterday. I notched another day on all of them. After work, I went grocery shopping and was pretty tired by the time I got home and put it all away...but I told myself I still needed to do 30 minutes of cardio on the Wii Fit (along with my crunches). I started by choosing the fairly low intensity cardio...and then decided that if I did the Free Run option, I could run in place while watching another TV show. So that's what I did. The time passed quickly. Tonight is Zumba and strength training at the gym.

Journal everything AND count WW points - 0 pauses allowed - Day 2 completed
64 ounces of water - 0 pauses allowed - Day 2 completed
Stay within WW points - 3 pauses allowed - Day 2 completed
5 servings of fruits and veg - 3 pauses allowed - Day 2 completed
1/2 hour cardio - 3 pauses allowed - Day 2 completed
50 crunches - 3 pauses allowed - Day 2 completed

Hi people, I'm still here...but not. I am keeping up with the Good Things Log even though it's hard to think what is actually good. I think I am going to try to not judge things but just write down what made me feel good, though my perceptions may be twisted. I am trying to keep smiling despite a lot of anxiety, uncertainty and that usual fun lot.
I'll be writing more soon, I hope.

Haven't kept up with most of my challenges, so I think I might just take the weekend off and start again.
It's hard because I am tired and my brain is fried. I just go to the canteen and do the best I can with the food. They do have some good stuff there.

So I'll catch you all on Monday.

Marcia - Congrats on being halfway through your challenges! You can totally do this...because, well, you ARE doing it!

Red - I know you're going through an extremely rough time. I wish there was something I could say or do other than offer up friendship, support and

Shad - As busy as you are, it's no wonder some of the challenges have fallen by the wayside. Do the best you can for now and then start anew. I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead.

DJO - How is your challenge going so far?

***********
Last night, I did strength training, along with abs, and Zumba. Tonight, I'll do my Wii Fit. I'm doing really good at tracking and staying within points. The weekends are hardest for me...but I'm promising myself that I will stay OP during the weekend.

Journal everything AND count WW points - 0 pauses allowed - Day 3 completed
64 ounces of water - 0 pauses allowed - Day 3 completed
Stay within WW points - 3 pauses allowed - Day 3 completed
5 servings of fruits and veg - 3 pauses allowed - Day 3 completed
1/2 hour cardio - 3 pauses allowed - Day 3 completed
50 crunches - 3 pauses allowed - Day 3 completed

I did a new Wii fitness game last night (Jenny McCarthy's Your Shape). It's really good! And today, I went to a Step class that incorporated weight training. I'm definitely feeling the workout. I still have to do my crunches for the day, but I'll do that while watching all the wonderful football games!!

Here's where I'm at as of the end of day Friday's ...
Journal everything AND count WW points - 0 pauses allowed - Day 4 completed
64 ounces of water - 0 pauses allowed - Day 4 completed
Stay within WW points - 3 pauses allowed - Day 4 completed
5 servings of fruits and veg - 3 pauses allowed - Day 4 completed
1/2 hour cardio - 3 pauses allowed - Day 4 completed
50 crunches - 3 pauses allowed - Day 4 completed

Hi, people. Thanks for the kind words. I am in a very bad way and things look NO better. I have kept doing the Good Things Log and will have to figure out the day I'm on with that, but it's not doing much for me. Well, maybe it is, but the good things I wrote down are so small and don't seem to have any relevance whatsoever to the big picture. Maybe that's OK. I don't know. I really need something bigger and better to happen to get me out of this mess.
My eating has been horrible the past few days and I am feeling the effects in many ways, all negative. I need to pull myself together and draw on whatever reserves I have but with the outlook so bad I haven't been able to manage it. Please wish me strength.

*********

OK, I figured it out.

Good Things Log Day 11 completed 0 pauses taken

Shad - I hope things quiet down for you a bit, at least long enough for you to catch your breath.

Red - Sending you lots of and :

My left calf is SO sore today, and I don't know why. I hope it calms down before Zumba class tonight. I sit near the stairwell, so I'll probably take some breaks throughout the day and do some calf stretches on the stairs. I'm really finding that, as much as I dislike journaling and counting my points, it really is helping me make better decisions and stay within my points. Of course, it also helps to not be entertaining out of town guests.

Journal everything AND count WW points - 0 pauses allowed - Day 7 completed
64 ounces of water - 0 pauses allowed - Day 7 completed
Stay within WW points - 3 pauses allowed - Day 7 completed
