Ok, Yesterday was a flop with sugar. I don't know why I can't stay away from it. My skin was better and yet I started eating sugar. The minute I see an improvement I'm back on the stuff. Ok, maybe it's not the sugar, but then, why does my skin seem worse today? No, I have to stay away from it. So, here it is, a hardcore, NO sugar challenge with NO pauses allowed. If I trip up, the challenge falls!

NO SUGAR Challenge -- Day 0 completed, NO pauses allowed
Return to Health Challenge (fresh vegetables, no cheese/peanuts/processed grains) -- Day 5 completed
No Smoking/Drinking Challenge -- Day 6 completed
Write It Down Challenge -- Day 2 completed

**************

Shad -- Yeah, it's still good but worse than yesterday. Nothing like it was though, but yesterday I had sugar and I think that is affecting it. Of course, one day isn't going to make a huge difference but I have to get things in check again. Until I am totally healed and strong again, I just have to stay off it. Every time I go off it, my skin gets better and then I'm right back on it again. Same with eveything. Well, it does suck, not being able to eat so many things I am constantly tempted by. Anyhow, I WILL do this... for ME!
Don't forget the crunches today!

inthemidst -- Ah, too bad about the party blowout. But, you had your fun and can now get serious again! Up and at 'em!!

No Smoking/Drinking Challenge -- Day 7 completed
Write It Down Challenge -- Day 3 completed

Had to take a couple of pauses because of flights etc yesterday. I may have to drop a couple of the challenges or start again maybe since everything has changed with new job and travelling etc. We will see.
Today in Melbourne is cool and wet. Yesterday it was quite warm. It is certainly living up to the four seasons in one day reputation. I just hope it warms up a bit as I have to go out shortly to shop for (yet another) phone charger. If there is one thing I always forget - its that. And I did it again.

Back later or maybe tomorrow - although I start work tomorrow so if you don't hear from me then maybe I am busy or can't get to the internet.

Shad - Glad you made it to Melbourne okay. 4 seasons in 1 day. Sounds like early Spring or Late Fall in Wisconsin. I hope your first day on the new job goes well.

Red - Are you in Hong Kong yet? Hope you're doing well.

to Inthemidst and everyone else!

We're supposed to have a big snow storm moving in this afternoon. Hopefully DH and I will be home before it gets really bad. If it's as bad as they say it's gonna be, then DH and I will likely be working from home tomorrow after we tend to snowblowing and shoveling the driveway.

Off to Hong Kong tomorrow morning early. Will try to write from there.
Thanks for asking, diyana.
Later all.

Cut out the after dinner snacking--day 6. I had to take a pause because I mindlessly snacked on some crackers as I was helping clean up after a church dinner. I just forgot I wasn't supposed to. That is what this challenge is all about right? 1 pause left--will have to pay attention.

One thing at a time seems to work best for me.

hi all -

I'm sore from my head to my toes, especially my hands, wrists, arms, back, chest, legs, you get the picture. We got about 16" of snow last night, and it was the very wet, very heavy snow. I helped DH clear the snow - I did a bit of shoveling and raking the snow off the eaves of the roof. It took us about 4 hours to get it all clear off the driveway, roof and walkway. We're both exhausted.

Journal and stay within WW points - 1 pause taken - 2 pauses left - Day 7 completed
Drink 64 ounces of water - 3 pauses - Day 8 completed
5 servings of fruits and veg - 1 pause taken - 2 pauses left - Day 7 completed
1/2 hour of cardio - 3 pauses - Day 8 completed
50 crunches - 2 pauses taken - 1 pauses left - Day 6 completed

Yes, Inthemidst, we got snow. Lots of it. And it was heavy. I ate more than usual yesterday, but given all the calories I burned clearing the snow (exercise points), I stayed within my points. My back and arms and legs are still a bit sore/stiff.

This morning it was COLD . 5 degrees (F) when I left for work with a -18 wind chill. Supposed to warm up to 9. But by Saturday they say we may "warm up" to the freezing mark.

Journal and stay within WW points - 1 pause taken - 2 pauses left - Day 8 completed
Drink 64 ounces of water - 3 pauses - Day 9 completed
5 servings of fruits and veg - 1 pause taken - 2 pauses left - Day 8 completed
1/2 hour of cardio - 3 pauses - Day 9 completed
50 crunches - 2 pauses taken - 1 pauses left - Day 7 completed
