Hi chicks,
Aw Shad - are you feeling sad over finally getting away from this bloody frustrating account? I'm sorry you are feeling down. Can kind of understand how you feel. Please don't feel bad because it is too hard to say Sad Shad particularly 3 times fast without sounding drunk. Of course you know I am trying to get a smile out of you

Try to think of 3 things - non work related of course - that you are happy about in your life. Let me suggest - 1) you have friends all over the world. Some of them move periodically so that when you come to the states to visit, you can see different cities

2) Despite a bit of glumness, you have good health. And that means alot. Particularly if you don't have a date with a colonoscopy hose or an orthoscopic surgical tool too soon in your life

So come on, give us a wink and a smile please???
Ok, about Mel's poncho. It was a silly moment on my part. I don't know why but when she posted about going down to the office to show off her poncho, it came out sounding as if she was wearing nothing BUT the poncho and I made a joke. I'm sure it's a lovely garment. And Mel would never be flashing the maintenance guys - even if they did show up in fireman's uniforms - right Mel? Forgive me if I offended anyone.
And as for the tiles, there are some rather thick, 1970's terra cotta type tiles on the floor right now with some heavy grout. The tile girl "thinks" they might pop up but not sure what's on the floor underneath or if they will have to smooth it out with backer board/underlayment. DH does not seem to be too concerned about pulling it up. Said it would not be nearly as hard as when we pulled the linoleum off the kitchen floor in Chicago which had a black spongy backing stuck to the previous layer of linoleum they laid it on top of. THAT was a nasty job getting it off. I daresay my wrist could not handle that again. I guess we will see when he starts pulling the first tiles up. I just made him PROMISE me that it won't get started and then lay idle for 5 years or so.
Madcat - that was quite the workout you got on the stairs today. And heaving around 12 pound dumbbells. I'm impressed. I'll bet you feel the burn. Remember to stretch alot and drink extra water to get that lactic acid out of the muscles.
Shaker, you bring alot of international character with your posts. I had forgotten the Kiwi habit of only using half of the words

Sounds so cute. That's exciting that you'll be coming across the pond here next year. Keep plugging at the savings, will be here before you know it.
You bet it's cold Ceejay. I put the fleece jacket on today and I'm thinking of pulling out the winter coat by the time the weekend rolls in. Hard to believe it was 70 degrees when we got home last week. I thought spring was here and DH said I cursed it. Sounds like you had a great workout routine today!
Annie - the best thing about moving down south was getting away from the long, cold midwest winters. It might be 39 here but not for long and we don't allow those "teener" temperatures down this way

Hope you find some good movies for the weekend. Glad to hear you love your job too. Not so many people can say that anymore.
Still giggling over the cheese withdrawal Holly. Hope you head gets better
Rose - that's horrid about losing the carport! Hope it's repairable/replaceable.
Miss Mel - take 'er easy and get back to the clean eating again, lest we send Miss Carla over to clean out your cabinets. Very true what you say about sinitis. They even have it out in the desert. Shows how the world had changed. How far have you gotten on the pedals yet? Let me know when you're just around the corner from me and I'll pull out the smoothie maker. Guaranteed to make you say yum but no bad after effects.
Hellos to Rennie, Painter and Ruth
I'm very tired so it's off to bed for me. Goodnight ladies.
