jealous - yep yep - julia that sounds awesome, day on the reef, forest dinner hope you have an awesome time

i know my prob.... it so stupid - IF there is bad food in the house i figure i need to eat it so it is not in house anymore as then i can be good without temptation - PROB - there is always bad food in the house
solution - dont buy anymore bad food and stop blaming lack of kitchen - get off butt and get all the kitchen stuff out from under bed and put in kitchen - there is one more cupboard guy is yet to put in kitchen which i have been waiting for - he said tomorrow.... PLEASE let it be tomorrow

apart from the M&Ms i have not blown it again today.... so putting it behind me (where it will end up on my behind!) and from NOW not tomorrow eating what the list says and re think everything when i run out of shakes.....

question - why do we buy the bad stuff when we are at the shops?? benji said he buys me the big choc blocks coz they are cheaper than the small ones but why is he buying me choc at all???

i am going to ban chocolate from the house.... what i am going to do with the choc currently here i am not sure..... maybe i take to mothers group and feed to the other mums hehehehehehe

Maybe you need to explain to Benji that buying you chocolate is not doing you any favours. I'm sure he loves you as you are and thinks he is being nice, so maybe you have to explain that you're not happy with yourself and chocolate isn't helping.

4040KJ is about 1000 cals. (KJ / 4.2)

Julia, sounds awesome! I've never been to any of those places, I'm jealous!

yep gen - 980calories not cool
i will take the choc to mothers group tomorrow to prevent another blowout
i guess as long as i KNOW i have no will power with choc in house then i can work with it rather than fight it
benji didnt buy the last lot it was me - it was on special - i also cant help but want to try anything mint flavoured and kitkat has new block of choc that is mint flavoured..... and i HAD to buy the new retro lollie mix..... i love the teeth lollies..... i think i need to have a party and get rid of it all and have a fridge that is full of fresh yummy food - i saw a watermelon in there today - i wonder if it is still good

gen - how is your house going??? did you buy it? or was that a rental that you showed us the photo of??

Yep I bought it - I just signed the mortgage documents and sent them off today. Settlement in about 4 weeks' time. I'm actually off tomorrow to meet the curtain/blind company rep for a free measure and quote, as there are no window furnishings in there as of now. I'd like to get them made now, installed the day after settlement so I can get a tenant in there ASAP.

Kel, that sounds very familiar. Once I open a packet of something I eat and eat and eat until it's all gone. As you say, you think that once it's gone there is no temptation but you're right, that's not the way to do it! Sounds like your kitchen is finally almost up and running so enjoy it!

Congrats Gen on buying that house It looked lovely.

I followed my plan yesterday, finished work at 5pm, went to the gym and did weights and a super quick cardio session. Had a shower, came back to the office and had dinner then went to the new job and worked there from 7-12pm. Tonight I will go for a walk between the two jobs.

It is actually really nice to be doing a job that's quite active - I'm walking around, going up and down ladders and carrying stuff around all night. I'm not snacking all night like I usually do so I think it'll be great for my diet.

The only bad thing is that I don't get home until around 12:15am and by the time my brain winds down for the day, I don't get to sleep until after 1am! Will have to get used to having a bit less sleep than usual for a while.

Weighed in last night and am down 500g which I'm thrilled with

Have a great day ladies

no kitchen dude this morning.... ho hum..... at least he rang......
guess what even with blow out on calorie king i was still under the calories for the day! whats with that! but i dont know how accurate the calorie burn is for body pump seemed a bit dramatic but i put in my shakes and m&ms and had calories to spare for dinner i was good and for snack i had nectarine

today NO SHAKES had toast and jam and mango and peach for brekky and planning sushi for lunch and spag bog for dinner all in good portion sizes, so will see how that goes

the m&ms are staying but i am going to put them in choc chip coookies when kitchen is done, benji loves cookies and it is a way better form of portion control

gen congrats big time on house it looks awesome, must be weird buying house not to live in though?

julia 500grams woo hooo woooooo hooo carrot carrot carrot!!! does that mean 4.5kg to go!?? you mustnt know yourself.... perfect timing summer here you come!

Kel - you go girl! I think that finding a sensible way to eat and exercise will get you to 80kg quicker than those shakes.

I manage to have chocolate or some other kind of treat just about every day. I buy those 'fun-size' packs of Kit Kats (or whatever happens to be on special), and allow myself one or two every day. It fits in with my calorie allowance, and I never feel deprived.

I rarely eat takeaway at all. I've convinced myself that I can make yummier, cheaper, healthier alternatives - even though I'm a terrible cook. Last night I wanted hot chips - so instead I chopped up a heap of vegetables, put heaps of herbs on them, and roasted them. YUM! And I've got enough left over for lunch today.

I really want to lose a pound this week, and I'm going to try hard to reach that goal.

Julia I'm jealous that you're going to Cairns. It sounds lovely up there. I have two sisters who live in Townsville, and I've only ever visited them twice in my life.

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday. Big 2 years (been together for 12 though)! My mum had the kids all weekend so we had a lovely quiet one together. Lots of coffee and walking!

Diet’s on track. Haven’t really gone out of my way to be good but have made the right choices anyway. It might finally be becoming habit!

I’ve managed to log another 88k’s onto my walk to Mackay, I’m now at Oodla Wirra 2185km’s to go.

It’s TOM for me this week (might explain the gain from last week). I feel blurk! Bloated, grumpy and fat, fat, fat! And I’m craving chocolate. Lucky there isn’t any here or else I would be devouring it right now!

Julia. Who wouldn’t want a job like yours! Lucky girl!

Gen. Why don’t you buy a nice house here and I’ll be your tenant!

Ani. You always write insightful stuff. Makes me jealous of the way you can put your feelings into words so well. I enjoy reading your posts.

Lindor. Are you doing ok? Didn’t really sound like it over the weekend.

Vonni. Egyptian goddess milk bath, sounds fattening!

Kel. Are you doing this for the right reasons? Maybe you could write down the reasons you want to lose weight and put them somewhere to remind yourself why you’re doing this. Look at me. Preaching to you when I can’t keep myself on track!

Better go, not that I really feel like doing anything. Have a great day.

XX

Its great to read up on how all of you are doing and what you aren't doing. It helps me realise that I'm not the only one having problems. As I said a little while back, I've cleaned out the pantry. Do you know there was food in there since 2001! OMG!

Now there is very little junk in there, and this afternoon dh looked in the pantry and the fridge and said "There's no food in here". There is, its just food that we have to put effort into making, and in this heat who wants to do that!

I've made a weeks worth of menues, breakfast lunch and dinners, and a shopping list. The markets are open tomorrow, so I'm hoping that I'll have time to get down there and get some veges. No fruit on low carb. For the moment anyway, got to get the glucose out of my system and fruit makes me binge.

I had a beautiful pair of swimmers come in the post today that I had purchased of ebay, and they are too big whaaaa! So if anyone wants a pair of size 26 togs (I know you are all so much smaller than that) I've got them for sale $35 including postage. I just want my money back. I'll have to go try on last years and hope they fit. I have actually put on weight, even tho the scales say I've only put on like 4 kgs, my tummy says a lot more.

Craft tomorrow, get the car serviced, a bit of shopping and home again. Luckily for me the car gets serviced here at the house, its a good thing when you know the mechanic.

Keep up the good work girls.

Ah - another housemate bites the dust! I should give up my day job and write a soap opera. But I don't have any tolerance for someone standing in my kitchen, saying: "if oi see that bloke oim gonna smack im in the mouf"… and meaning it. No room for violence (not even implied) in my home - so notice has been given. There's more to it than that, of course, but straws break camel's backs.

Barb - happy anniversary!

How the **** do I manage to ever lose weight when I feel like I am living in a constant b!oody soap opera?

Before rents became ridiculous and I was able to afford to live alone, my life was so much more calm, and I was preoccupied with things that mattered. I tried to look at the bright side of sharing my home: shared housework, interesting conversations, cheaper living…

Pfft!

The first HM was an outpatient at a psych unit, the 2nd is wanted by police, the 3rd was pretty good, and the most recent is an Aboriginal woman with a chip on her shoulder the size of Mt Everest (sorry Lindor - but even you couldn't scale that mountain of issues ). It isn't me who cares about her race either - it's her who constantly makes it an issue.

Wonder who I'll pick next? Probably someone who make home-made explosive devices in the kitchen!

Blurk!

Ani go look in the mirror - you might need an invisible ink light - do you have d**khead magnet written on yr forehead?

Sorry JK That was the story of my life growing up. I seemed to attract the wrong type of people due to my goodhearted nature.
Hope things look up for you soon. Perhaps an 'older' person who has some direction in their life might be a better choice?

Vonni this woman is 45 - the last one was 55 - the crim was 42 - and the psych patient was 39.

Much older and their rent will be coming out of their pension

I definitely have something wrong on my head - I think it's my eyes and ears!

Oh shoot . hmmm maybe a younger one? a struggling actor perhaps? Or a uni student? I know our local uni has a data base of rooms to let, so does our tafe. And they are offerred on a weekly basis or semester basis. Some include meals and washing others are standard room. The lessee signs a contract. Might be worth looking into. The student unions are usually the ones who manage the lists. This is our local one for you to check out http://sqitstudent.tafe.net/StudentA...ommodation.asp

Good lord Ani, do they start out normal when you interview them and then get mad? Can you get someone with references from their last flatmate? Heh. Sorry to hear about the latest disaster...
