Okay...I'm not promising anything, but I'm off to a good start for September. Back to routines, back to school (for the kiddos), no more ice cream, popsicles, etc. Those who have known me since I sprang on to this board, know that I lost about 25 - 30 pounds on the WOE, but hit a plateau that ended that Halloween with a "Give me an Almond Joy and nobody gets hurt!"
So, I'm off to a good start. Menu starting last night was:
Dinner: Pork chop with apple salsa and salad with water
Snack: None
Breakfast: Apple, two slices of bacon and coffee
Lunch: Banana, carrots, Lite n fit yogurt, water
Snack: Apple, peanuts
Dinner: Pork chop (leftover), chicken, salad and water
Snack: a little coffee
So, I'm off to a great start. I was a total wreck over the summer with eating. We've been off to town to the doctor about once or twice a week with Shelley's anxiety problems. She's been diagnosed with Agoraphobia, brought on by bereavement after her father died a year and a half ago. She's on the smallest amount of meds they can give her, hopefully to take the edge off in time for her to be able to go to school without panic attacks and crying jags on Sunday nights. Its been tough. She's also going to be on the Girls Varsity Hockey team this year. This is the first year they're having a girls hockey team in the school, so it's very exciting.
Kyle is getting more and more independent and wanting to go to his friends houses more and more. He's so darn smart...he came in THIRD PLACE at the county fair this summer at the 1-2 grade spelling bee...as a first grader! It was awesome.
Both kids were in Marching Band this summer and they did so well with it. Kyle, of course, carries the banner and Shelley plays the clarinet. They were awesome this year.
Needless to say, we haven't been home a lot for dinner and have had to eat on the road, which is so hard to do and stay legal.
Anyhow...I have some crocheting to get to. One last night to not have to get up early for school. I'll miss the little buggers.
Oh...and the barber shop has TAKEN OFF over the summer. I'm even selling retail now!! I hope I can keep some of the business over the winter. We'll see how it all goes, but I'm very optimistic.
Okay...TTFN!!
Hugs and prayers to our Louisiana friends!!
Meowee: I have a black purse and wallet. It goes for all seasons, in my book.
