Focus, okay, I can relax now...and lower my weight loss expectations Ten pounds in your actual timeframe is really great...seems like your metabolism is kicked in I'm hoping for the very same, very soon...

I went off the wagon for lunch today, but back on track again. I had a craving tonight but resisted and made some green tea instead. The cravings are not quite gone just yet so I have to stay away from any temptations.

Keep on "treading" a beach pun

Hi all,

Thought I'd check in, on Day 5. I've hit a plateau, and I'm sure some of it is because I wasn't exercising, and have gotten off track somewhere. I think I'm ready to clamp back down, I just need to sit down and take a hard look at what I've been eating.

Today I've been good! Had scrambled egg with Kale and lf cheddar for brekkies, and I've got a salad and chicken-veggie soup for lunch. Hummus and veg for a snack.

I'm up against a challenge for the evening, though - going to a poker party at a friend's house. I'll bring the veggie platter and maybe some smoked salmon-lf cream cheese-red pepper rolls for me to snack on. I'll bring enough for everyone, of course! Wish me luck - If I learn quickly how to play Texas Hold'em, I could win some cash! Woo hoo!

Hello Chickies,

Phase I begins Monday. This weekend I am purging the house of all non-SBD foods and restocking the cabinets with those that are SBD friendly.

I am so glad I have found this site, after reading several threads I know I have found the support I need to get through the long road ahead. Since I am dragging my 17 year old son and significant other down to the Beach with me I may become whiney at times. If I do, please feel free to tell me to "Suck It Up".

Thumbs up Half way there

I have been on SBD for 5 days now so I'm almost halfway through phase one...I haven't seen much in the way of pounds going off but overall I've been feeling much better without all the crappy food in me.
I feel like my hour spent at the gym are finally going to pay off...
I've always been a workout fanatic but it was the junk food that got me!
Good luck to everyone!

Default Once Again

Hello Everyone,

I'm on Day 9 of Phase 1. This is my second time. I started last June and lost 20 pounds and KEPT THEM OFF. During the holidays, I gained 3 pounds and now have lost 4. I want to go down 9 more pounds.

I just looked back at my summer writings and 4 pounds is what I had lost then, too, so I'm on track. I can't wait to try the Taco Bake. The best recipes for me, so far, are the Popcorn Cauliflower and the teriyaki sauce that I use as marinade for my barbecue chicken and salmon. I'm in South Florida so I barbecue daily.

My downfall is natural peanut butter. While I was maintaining, I got used to this as a snack, and it's hard to limit myself to 2 tablespoons. I love it on celery and soy chips. I have to get back into hummus on celery. I limit myself to two cheeses per day as that was the culprit which caused me not to lose weight last time.

This website is the best. It keeps me motivated.

Just as a little help for everyone starting this diet....

I have two people in my house who are serious followers of the atkins diet so we have more low carb no sugar no taste stuff in our cabinets than you could ever imagine. However, I have ot say that one thing that keeps me on track and helps ween off the carb cravings are low carb bread products such as pitas and even regular bread. the slices are no comparison to a regular sandwich bread but if you put some lf cream cheese on them thye go well with an omlette.

also a sliced pita ith some olive oild and lf cheddar cheese melted in the oven makes an excellent side disg/snack.

Just a little tip from me to you!

Good luck!

Well, my one week weigh-in isn't until tomorrow, but I just had to take a peek. I couldn't believe I had lost 6 lbs. I've been doing weights and exercising and I figured I might have gained or maintained (since that what usually happened in the past). But I still lost the weight. My belts are already getting loose. Well, at least this diet will give me a reason why I spend so much money on clothes.

Good for you, Cheese Queen!
05andOUT, even low carb bread products will slow your weightloss on Phase I so please save them until Phase II! Those snacks are definitely not Phase I. Sorry! i

I cheated a bit by weighing a day early as well, Cheesequeen, and I've lost 6 pounds too! What a lovely surprise on a dreary Monday morning.

Congrats to us both!

Hi All --

Congratulations, all you losing ladies! Sounds like Phase 1 has been working well for all of us. I'm on Day 9, and I'm only down 5 pounds, but hey, that's five pounds in less than 2 weeks, I can't believe it! I think I've been sneaking without realizing it - I've been eating imitation crab salad for lunch every few days, and I just read on another thread that it's probably got too much starch and stuff in it. Oh well, I'll be happy if I've lost 6 pounds at the end of Phase 1 - that's better than I've ever done in such a short time.

I'm thinking taco bake will have to happen tonight, as a reward, yow!

Yahoo! Keep up the Good Work, we are FABULOUS!

i've been back on phase one since tuesday, since i totally fell off the wagon during the holidays. but i forgot that i wasn't supposed to weigh myself, and have been doing it every day... but i've lost six pounds, which is pretty much what i gained, so it makes me feel a lot better about being back on phase one.
