Hey guys. I hope you don't mind a late comer.

I want to lose 29 pounds by Labour Day (29 sounds easier than 30). That would get me to 165.

is it cool if i use today's weigh in instead of tomorrow's since i will be out and about all day tomorrow including, church, wedding shower, family dinner with the inlaws, etc? if not, i'll find time to hit the scale in the morning

Driven- Yea, I think I really need to break away from the thinking that I need exercise in order to lose weight and change that thinking on "I want to exercise so I can be healthy." I think that would also help me feel less guilty about it, haha.

Julia!

Whoo-hoo, SMS!

Mandy- I don't see why not! Oh yea, on your 2.2lbs left, you CAN do it!!

I think I was retaining water because the next day (Wed) I was 193.4!?! Ahh, I just hope the numbers are the same come Tuesday's official weigh-in. Tonight, I will be doing my workout (finally!) and been OP for the eating part since then.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!!

Hi everyone! May I join in this challenge, even though I'm a little late?

I'm nearly 5 weeks out of a c-section and 4 weeks out of really bad pneumonia, so I'm still on "take it easy" orders, but I'm excited to get things moving in the right direction and I'd love support!

My latest WI was 218 (I've been WI on Wednesdays) and I'd like to lose 20 pounds by then. I am breastfeeding so I'm trying to limit how quickly I lose weight, but I think this is a pretty realistic pace for me!

So:

SW- 250 4/15/11 (day I left hospital after c-section)
CW- 218 5/14/11
Mini-Goal weight- 198 by September 4!

Thanks! I'll read through the threads and see if I can find some rules... basically though, do I update my own info on the spreadsheet?

*Eta: I just filled in my info as if I was here the whole time, if that's okay. Changing my goal to -25 pounds then, or 198!

Good morning everyone, and welcome Sarah! Congrats on your new little boy, and welcome to the challenge!

I am at 232 this morning, so down 1 pound this week. My weight's been a little all over the place the last few days (I suspect upcoming TOM?), so hoping to be closing in on the 220s next week! How's it going for everyone else?

Hi all. I'm weirdly excited about my first weigh-in!

I was 191 this morning, which is a three pound loss. Hurray for beginner's luck! It would be awesomely motivational to change decades in just two weeks.

Welcome Julia! Congrats on your loss, though I don't think beginner's luck had much to do with it. It was all your hard work - great job!

And welcome to Sarah too and congrats on your son! I really admire your ambition; I'm not sure I'd have the energy 5 weeks post c-section! With your great attitude, I'm sure you'll do well.

I'm down 1.8 lbs this week to 207. When I look at the big picture, I think the pounds are melting off. But, day-to-day, it can be frustrating to see such small losses after so much work!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning,
Happy to report I'm down two lbs this week. I know it is all thanks to starting the C25K program. Hope you were all equally successful in at least keeping to plan if not the scale. As long as you keep to plan it'll all balances out eventually.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Welcome, Sarah! More the merrier!

Julia- Great job on your loss- just 6lbs away from overweight category!! Take what you can because it will slow down as you get closer to your goal weight.

Ashley- Good job! for 220s soon!!! 1lb at a time is what I tell myself (easier said than done, LOL.)

Good going, RMC on your 1.8lb! I totally understand about the day-to-day basis. I read somewhere on one thread a while ago- one poster focused on monthly averages of weight loss rather than focusing on week-to-week losses and I thought it was a great idea if you're more of a "whoosher-loser" (lol) or just feeling like you're not doing great/enough.

Kelley- Congrats on your 2lb loss this week!

Hope everyone has a great day!! I will be going for a short dip in my pool and see if I can't work on my tan, haha.

PS, RMC- I saw you posted in another thread and seemed curious about WW. I am doing WW and I LOVE IT, though I am on the old plan (momentum/flex). I have done calorie counting but for some weird reason, I just feel like WW is much more easier than calorie counting though there is not a big difference between the two. I know some people who combine the two so you could try it? Google how to calculate your daily target points then click on the ehow website, after you get your daily points plus 35 weekly allowance points- then google for an online (free) calculator for old plan/flex/momentum. Can't hurt to try? Good luck in whatever you decide.
